I’m concerned about the person who had the idea for ‘the duck thing’. Whoever it was is not ok.

Also can you imagine it was you who came up with the duck thing and you have to ‘brag’ to your friend and family like omg by idea has been made into a tv show watch it at 9pm on Tuesday and then they see your idea was that and you get 59 texts like ‘erm… are you ok?’ 😂
it truly would have been one of those things you never give full details on 🤣

“hey lablonde when is that show you wrote on?”
“oh it’s on [mumble mumble] at [mumble mumble]. what you didn’t hear that? sorry, have to go!”

i rewatched it and the moment where the duck says he has a “crazy idea” and you see slow realisation dawn on everyone’s faces is googlebox at its absolute best imo 🤣

A wonderful sight! God, he’s hot!
Really felt like they were playing up to the cameras tonight though.
Yeah I agree, you can see the directors have taken over them now , jenny and Lee can be hilarious but the director seems to want them to do skits, it started I the last few series, now its Marcus and Mica's turn , I knew his shorts would delight people , but it was where he was standing that made realise the director has started getting involved, its a slippery slope to being scripted , the two big sisters seem to follow a script of being vulgar or talking about food.

I feel like some of the families are quite performative now, but I do still like Gogglebox. Sophie's laugh really annoys me though.
It's the way Sophie tries to explain something intellectual that annoys me, it always sounds like she has just been told the explanation and she is trying to inform us through Pete, I just don't like her and never have , I lumbered Pete in with my dislike but he actually does say some funny things , and then as you say Sophies annoying laugh starts , I wouldn't mind them replacing Sophie for Petes new wife , I think he is getting married , obviously it would be up to her but it would be better than Sophie imo

Marcus and Mica’s “I have been to the dump” scene was a more compelling drama than anything featured on Gogglebox :ROFLMAO: I was on the edge of my seat!

Nah, I'm gonna have to give Gogglebox a miss from now on. I'm no prude but I'm sick of them choosing deliberately awkward, sex-scene programmes.
Yes I hate this! It makes me so uncomfortable and it seems to be what they orientate the show around now.

As they are almost lying down on their sofa rather than sitting down Jonathan Ross’s daughter Honey needs to be careful when she crosses her legs in a dress because of the camera angle

Jonathan’s son and Honey’s partner barely spoke. I’m not sure they needed to be there

Paige and the mum had a very public falling out on Twitter and TikTok
I read that they'd had a big argument, but never found out the reason. It was surprising because on tv they always seemed fairly close (literally close, they sat right next to each other lol).

I think the Baggs family got a reprieve because of all the sad loses the past few months and then Paige and her mum dropping out. They were down a few families.

I quite liked Simon and his sister.

I also think Amira and Amani are an underrated pairing. They can be very dry.
They have really grown on me and last night some of their comments were spot-on.

Yes, that is a good reason as to why the Baggs have returned.

This series is very flat, the loss of the Michaels, Pete & Linda, Marina & Mary has been very noticeable.
Controversial, but I don't miss any of them apart from Louis and Marina.

I'm still reading the previous thread and I am crying laughing at some of the comments. 😂

Anne and Ken seem to have disappeared. They weren't very entertaining. He used to say hello pet to the newsreaders. I think she might have been a bit of fun if she got a chance.

I normally defend Pete and Sophie but the thing with him saying he’ll sing to Paige about how he’s horny so that she gets the hint was too much for me 🤮 you’re talking to your sister!
They always do it! It’s a rare episode when they don’t mention sex. I find it a strange way to speak to a sibling.
Sophie mentioned “blowys” this week.

Oh and did they mention she had a boyfriend? I can‘t quite remember!
It’s like when Pete first had a girlfriend we had to hear that every week, ditto when she became pregnant, ditto when he became a dad.
I’ve never been a fan since day one.
