I thought it was, thank you! He's just not attractive or fit at all, and worse than Barney Woodentop Walsh for no personality. If I'd get rid of anyone, he'd be top pick for me.
I think what makes it worse is that he clearly thinks he’s the shit.

"Mauler" has been on an event today.

I really thought it was going to be a sports relief special or something, that they were just filming at the same time, but nope, seems it is true and part of S4.

I don’t think they’re genuinely trying to end the show with the reduction in events or the Gladiator names; the latter is just not what we’ve been used to since the series began. Emperor is bad, but not as bad as Gold Star. The other two names I can live with. I’ve seen a pic of Gold Star and she’s got a skirt (think Netball attire) and plaited hair so I do think it’s more of a gimmick thing for younger views. Same with Huntress and her spear and Hammer’s…ahem, hammer.

I do think there’s a reason for the event reduction and I’d say it’s either because the episode length has been cut or to try and reduce Gladiator injuries/fatigue. If it is the former, then I don't see there being a reduction in interviews and such like. It does make me wonder, though, how they think the original Gladiators coped when they only had 12 Gladiators, only had six events per episode and in some events they were against both contenders - see Hang Tough, Danger Zone and Duel.

No Mark or Lee refereeing today. No Viper on any events yesterday either. It’s all a bit odd and perhaps too much change at once.

There’s also a new event called Plummet, but not sure what it involves yet.
viper was there competing today I have read. They were all there as they filmed the opening credits today and the walk on bits. Someone even said Bionic was there today.

Maybe with the wedding she chose to sit this year out, not wanting to risk any injury and to focus on planning etc? To let so many established gladiators go is foolish if they think about the younger fans.

I am gutted about Cyclone - loved her! She was the most able female gladiator, had a great personality and could talk the talk and walk the walk. She was the female version of Legend 💁🏻 Most of the others are a bit ‘meh’ and don’t get me started on bloody cowgirl Dynamite and one truck pony Comet 😡
Dynamite and Apollo singing is a no from me .
I'm so sad to hear Cyclone won't be back this season.

I didn't go anywhere near the merch stand...£7 for a bottle of Coke Zero and a bag of Randoms stung a bit🤣 we took our own sandwiches in and it was just as well as they'd sold out of pizza by the time we were hungry and the chicken nuggets and chips looked dry and unappetising! We were glad it finished earlier than last year as it meant the Meadowhell food court was still open for a quick stop on the way home!
My daughter says the chicken and chips was ok! We did take in sandwiches for lunch as well. She got very hangry at about 7.30 so had to get her something.
When we went to the live tour the food was awful in Manchester. Disorganised, overpriced, charging people and telling them to come back and then they’d run out. Although I guess that was the arena not the tour company!

Feels like some of you have never got food or drink at an arena before, it's always bad and/or expensive, it's part of the experience :ROFLMAO:

Hungry Bear/production stopped someone from a fan page going in yesterday! Saying they’d breached policy! 😱😱 And people on Reddit saying there’s a weird atmosphere in the arena.
Surely it could all have been avoided if they made an announcement as to what was going on, even if vague eg “Due to injury and family commitments, x y and z are taking a break. But we have some new exciting Glads to introduce!” Or whatever. Instead, apart from Giant and Tom Strongman it’s all speculation

I'm new to finding this thread and it may have already been discussed, but Hammer also gives me the ick

After seeing him on Great British Sewing Bee Christmas special last year. Bless him in his 1970's Oxford Bags, Dockers, gingham ribbon in his hair and the like, It looked like he'd got lost on his way out up to Sheffield to a Northern Soul All Nighter, and found his way into a sewing comp instead.

Laughed all the way through it and now cannot take him seriously dressed in lycra banging his hammer about 🤣
I just think his lycra outfit is odd- 1 arm out and one arm sleeved

I quite like viper. It’s strange, I prefer legend in gladiator mode, but viper does nothing for me. He’s like a third rate wolf wannabe. But when you see them all out, in normal dress, I think viper easily looks the best. Naturally stylish
He's trying too hard to play the part of 'nasty' I think and it doesn't work. Wolf was always the ultimate baddie but pulled it off because he always had the side banter (especially with Ulrika) to go with it. We shall see what the new series brings I guess.

The tour is apparently being put on by Live Nation, not Hungry Bear, so it’s a different contractual relationship. I’d imagine that’s why some of the Gladiators are appearing on the tour but not the TV show.

There was some tea on Reddit that suggested the likes of Bionic and Athena were told very last minute - like days before filming - that they weren’t officially coming back (although told they were ‘at risk’ some time before). I wonder if that pissed some of them off. Then add in the Giant situation, and I wonder if it’s created some resentment amongst certain cast members.

I’m glad she wasn’t axed, but her statement is even more baffling and strongly worded toward the end. And despite of this, she’s still doing the tour? I wonder if others like Bionic are too.
I might be wrong but...... Seems to me anyone out injured for this season (also maybe still recovering from injuries last year ) & can't say when they'll be mended and be able to return has been axed?
