It was 'loads of bloody fun!' though, so that makes it okHer latest post is utterly tasteless considering the current economic climate. Disgusting. The restaurant’s menu, for reference: https://bacchanalia.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/12/Bacchanalia_A_La_Carte-2.pdf

I’d read the menu then saw that but couldn’t be arsed to check if it was the same thing so thank you for confirming, and lll omg that’s abysmal. £140 would cover the most part of a tasting menu/chef’s table type of experience at a Michelin star restaurant so can’t see why you’d rather have that? Cos of the statues? 🫠That absolutely pathetic looking lobster cost ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY FIVE POUNDS. It’s very obvious it’s an undeclared PR invite. She’s such a grasping, duckfaced twat.
Just been to a Michelin starred restaurant for Mr Goat’s birthday. Five course tasting menu, matched wines, and two glasses of champagne EACH was £340, and it was the best meal we’ve had (and we think we’re fancy so that’s saying something).I’d read the menu then saw that but couldn’t be arsed to check if it was the same thing so thank you for confirming, and lll omg that’s abysmal. £140 would cover the most part of a tasting menu/chef’s table type of experience at a Michelin star restaurant so can’t see why you’d rather have that? Yep! It’s really weird as she’s meant to be a food professional surely you’d be hyping great independent restaurants from your network during a really tough economy rather than whatever this is? It’s really weird, I think she just wanted to drop that her bf had paid for it. Which like cool but it looks pretty shit ngl. I’m not down with gen z but surely this can’t be their cup of tea? It’s visually ghastly.what’s she doing advocating for frankly tasteless conspicuous consumption?
Possibly because she’s getting complimentary meals? I know a foodie couple with plenty of cash to spend and they still consider if they think the price is worth trying a place. It’s not usual at all to totally disregard what something might cost. She’s getting shitty in the comments with someone who dared ask the price.
It’s funny how she’s so adamant she grew up poor/in the ends but the way she tackles this sort of content really betrays that. That’s not saying someone genuinely from that bg can’t go to these places just she’s clearly v used to going to them and can’t understand the PoV of someone who would need to know the price before even considering it.
Yeah this was my point too, I'm happy to spend stupid money on food but not if it's "good" - the whole 'review' sounds like it was actually shitPossibly because she’s getting complimentary meals? Incredible how these people have had such an expensive education but can't spell or use correct grammar. I cannot work out what she's saying...is she saying she looks like Penelope Cruz?
