Just watched the last episode of series 4. This programme keeps getting better and better. It is amazing how many storylines they manage to cram into 30 minutes.
I especially loved seeing more of Robin and his back story

My daughter is autistic and doesnt laugh out loud at much, but Robin makes her laugh every single episode. Funniest character on tv for a while.

shes often quiet and then goes 'dooka dooka dooka, prawn!'

Personally I love Mary, its the voice for me!

Barely related, but I love the crossover in my music tastes with [presumably] Mathew Baynton (actor) - his songs in Horrible Histories are always my favourites, especially Charles Dickens/The Smiths and Dick Turpin/Adam Ant. Love the Cure, that really made me smile

Thanks all for drawing my attention to the podcast - I'll be all over that soon!

Right, must get back to my embarrassing parasocial relationship with the entire cast!

I like all the ghosts so it's hard to pick a favourite

I thought Mike was much better in this series, his character was less annoying and he actually saved the day for once at the kids party.

I think she must have left for good. I was half expecting her to come back but they made sure that they told her story before she went. I guess there's always the possibility that another person could die and become a ghost

This just does get better....and there's absolutely no sense, by series 4, that it's anywhere near 'run its course'. There's so much more mileage and different storylines to pursue.

I am bereft, now that Mary has been 'sucked off'. I very rarely cry and anything on TV but the ceremony at the end put a big lump in my throat.

I adore this show, can happily watch it over and over, great comfort TV. Clever, hilarious and often so moving. And of course….The Captain

It is just perfect isn't it . When we started watching series 4, both me and OH said at the same time there was something comforting about seeing them all again. Comfort TV at its best.

Yes. They were on Gaby roslin podcast recently and confirmed a Christmas special. Good interview

Total comfort tv. Nice to watch something where people aren’t horrible to each other all the time, a more innocent show
