Loved the documentary and did get quite upset thinking of our gorgeous George.

Royalties to this day are still given from Last Christmas to the Band Aid Charity.

it’s great his team has released the footage of George singing Last Christmas. I was at that show and felt so lucky to hear him sing it live 🎅🏻🎄

I've just finished Andrew Ridgeley's autobiography about George. It made me laugh that the boy young girls turn their nose up at school can end up a hearthrob 😄
At my school there was this skinny, nondescript lad who was described as that little squirt to me when I started at the school. Just before I finished sixth form at 18 he came in the common room to meet up with a friend and there wasn't a girl whose jaw didn't hit the floor 😲
He was absolutely gorgeous - tall, tanned and wearing a powder blue chauffeur's uniform with peaked cap. If only mobile phones with cameras existed back then. Sigh.... 😔

I'm sure almost everyone on here knows anyway but there's a new George Michael documentary on tonight. Channel 4, 9pm. Probably lots of sleb talking heads but extra George is always a pleasure to see.
Thank you so much for highlighting this @Carefree it was exactly what I needed when I needed it ❤

I'm off to FastLove this week. I know it's not George himself but as it's as close as I'm going to get, I'll take it. Even being surrounded by other Georgeaholics will be a great treat 💃🏼

Oh, I forgot to post this 🤦🏼‍♀️

I thoroughly enjoyed FastLove last night. The main fella is a good showman and his backup band are very strong. Would happily see them again but not on a Friday night after work whilst sober. It was a very mega huns audience, not a bad thing, just wasn't in the right frame of mind for it.

@TheStrawberryThief I think his discretion at the time of the Freddie Mercury tribute was one of the most heartbreaking things to hear about, never mind live through 😔

What a great evening. I have a sore throat and my feet hurt.
And the dubious honour of being the first person to dance in the whole theatre 🤣 he sang I'm your man as his second song and I can't sit still for that 😁

I was there both nights for this recording. I was with a friend and my mum in the 4th row, whilst another friend was front row. His brother had managed to get a great seat at the end of the catwalk, so my friend gave up his front row seat and I managed to persuade my mum to take it. It was the first night and he performed her absolutely favourite track - Different Corner. Was so happy she got to see that front row.
Loved reading this - thank you for sharing 🙏 How wonderful that must have been.
I'm not one bit envious either - I never can lie! 💐

It was one of the best days of my life. 16 year old me loved them both even more ❤
Omg that must have been such an emotional show, I’m so happy for you that you were there!

I‘ve gone down a George rabbit hole today and found out that he was on Who Wants to be a Millionaire with Ronan Keating! I never knew this! And their reason for appearing together is really touching, they both sadly lost their mothers around the same time, so were raising money for charity.

Have a look at Shirley Hollimans Instagram, she’s posted about them going back to the ski lodge , looks amazing but what a gaping hole there is where George would have been .

Wish me luck 😂 just booked tickets to see Rob Lamberti with my daughter in April.
She's been desperate to see him since we saw the Fast Love Show.
Love that my 26 year old child is a big GM fan, she was raised the right way 😁

I’ve just rewatched the Wham Netflix documentary. Really recommend it if anyone hasn't seen it. Andrew seems like such a genuinely nice guy too (and handsome back in the day !)

Poor Deon had a major drugs habit for some years - I heard he was even homeless at one point because of it. Brilliant musician and his best solo single "Heaven Help Me" was co-written with George, who's featured prominently on backing vocals.

What was great about the Netflix Wham! documentary was it highlighting how the two of them were basically great mates having a laugh through it all. Saw this clip on YouTube a while back which really encapsulates their great sense of humour...

Hilarious video. Love the pyjamas. Imagine if they had some of their props from that video, sold it online, what it could possibly fetch for.

Wow, thanks for sharing. I had no idea Deon had drug problems. That's so tragic, he really was so kind, absolutely a charming guy. Talkative, interesting, and had a gregarious personality. He spoke so highly of George and all the others. I wish things would have turned out different for Deon and George, two great talents.
