Ah it was a hard watch. Blubbed at the end. Get tissues ready before you watch it! I’d love to visit where they filmed it!

I can’t take to Shirlie at all. I think she comes across as very “me,me,me”
As you say, she got lucky that GM happened to be good to his friends.
You should checkout George’s Cousin Andros Georgiou ( itsandros on socials) He definitely has Beef with Pepsi & Shirley going by his insta posts about “ Remind me which tracks they recorded in Studio
( with commentary from his friend Paula Ann Bland aka Clare in Grange Hill- says “ don’t you have to have a modicum of talent)
He’s bringing his own film documentary out soon I think with what He is saying is the Truth

It’s still annoying me 🤣 Why them!? So many other people in the world but Sam??? I see they might have pulled them up based on the fact Sam was one of the last people George tagged on Twitter. That’s all I can think of. I think they could have filled their pointless chat with a bit more about how the single supported charities (and apparently, it still does!)
I would have loved to have learnt more about that too, but Sam Smith... What a boring chap he is too 🙄

I’m not Sam’s biggest fan but I think he came across as a genuine admirer of George’s work. I didn’t have a problem with it.

My daughter is 19 and loves George she often plays his music and sometimes when out with her friends, if one is driving they will sometimes play George and she will let me know, knowing how much he was my idol, it's great that younger generations are listening to his songs maybe not all the time but they have a few favourites, hopefully this will help his music live on.
Love this 💖.

Our son is 36 - he has learning disability/autism - he has grown up listening to Wham/GM - he will play their music too. When I'm long gone, I hope the joy of music stays with him.

When it's been a bloody awful week (work) and the pick me up you need will always George ❤ especially this video.
We were there the night this was recorded, right down at the stage (we had 3rd row tickets) and I can personally tell you that the crowd went off when he switched to the original I'm your man. The roof came off Earls Court 😍

Finally watched the doc. Absolutely loved it (although was baffled by the utterly pointless addition of Sam Sam). Seeing all the video cast together without George was so poignant.

I think George topped himself as that’s why it was all so hush hush with his family and the funeral. Unfortunately I think he was in a very dark place during his last days!
I've always felt the same - whether it was fully intended or not, and George knowing how unwell he was, my feeling that Xmas Day was he wanted "out". We won't ever fully know, but something never felt right about it - poetic it was Xmas Day too, with Last Christmas.

My Christmas Days since have always felt a little sad, but then I put his music on while cooking our meal and I love him so. I'm sad that he didn't see old age and continue to make his wonderful music, but most of all to be happy himself. His fans only ever wanted that.

Hello, I lurk on these pages, and don't post often - but the mention of chemsex sent me down a bit of a rabbit hole, as I must admit that as a heterosexual woman, I was a bit ignorant. I thought it was just about having sex under the influence of poppers or GHB, but it sounds like there's a more sinister element to it. Methampthetamine and GHB are often injected simultaneously by people who practice chemsiex, which doesn't sound like it would be too healthy for anyone:

The articles I read say that men who indulge in chemsex often have much rougher sex than they would do otherwise, which can lead to internal/rectal injuries, and the drugs can also cause other health problems, specifically heart issues. If George was regularly being supplied these drugs by Fadi AND regularly participating in very rough sex, I can't imagine either his physical OR mental health were that great. He always seemed to have a very high sex drive (Kenny said as much I think, and the cottaging on Hampstead Heath seemed to be part of that), so potentially his drug use may have been very heavy indeed.

It all seems to contribute to a potentially very sad end for George. Of course, he might have been loving the scene, and feeling that he was living his best life, but I don't think the evidence really supports that.
Like you also, I know nothing of this drug - reading the link to that Sun article was an eye opener too. If the people he knew well could get him the drugs, as much as I hate drugs, I guess at least they were from those he trusted. But what a toll they must have taken on his body and mind. The come down after must have been 😱.

I never took to Fadi - I thought he was a slease and a user. Kenny - George always appeared to speak of him in a loving way. Maybe things would have been different if they had stayed together.

Whatever happened in his personal life, was just that - it was "his". The pressure of being Mr George Michael must have been immense at times - the drugs, sex and whatever else, was his time to be himself and switch off.

He was loved by so many, but maybe that love was never enough.

My beautiful best friend died from cancer in October 2014. She had bravely battled cancer for a number of years and she was on 42 when she passed. She was the biggest George fan on the planet and Careless Whisper was her favourite song. A couple of months before she died she wrote to George because her dying wish was to sing with him (she was in a band). She knew she was asking the impossible. Weeks after she died a letter arrived at her home and her husband opened it, it was a letter from no other than George! He declined but he told her words to the effect of to keep singing and keep going. She would have been elated if she'd been alive to see it. At her funeral her band, led by her husband sang an acoustic version of Carless Whisper with harp, guitar and violin. It was so beautiful. Everyone in the church joined in. It was an incredible moment. I can't listen to George without thinking of them both. 💖
That's beautiful 😞I'm so sorry about your friend 😔

Not too sure we should expect the truth from someone who had a falling out with George in 1998 and didn't see him since then. I understand that Andros was selling stories about George to the press, hence the fallout.
