Finally watched the Last Christmas programme, had to wait until the other half was upstairs playing on his Xbox. Enjoyed it but agree with everyone about Shirley, just so smug and very pick me vibes, although I do like Pepsi and believe she is a better singer than Dee C Lee.
Got very choked up towards the end with the home videos and Last Christmas getting to Number 1 after 39 years.

I've got mixed feelings about Andrew. I think he handled being the less (not) talented one with a lot of grace and was never anything other than generous to and about George. However, he's got very pompous with age and is now indeed insufferable.

So pleased about this! Really thought fairytale of New York was nailed for number one!

From what I was reading, there was a good chance the TikTok lot might have gotten it which would have been awful. We managed to dodge the bullet when Lad Baby said they weren't gonna enter this year...which was strange and makes me think someone told them they likely wouldn't get the #1...

Then it was revealed the TT 'influencers' were releasing a song...but it was fine because they weren't doing it for themself but rather for charity..sure it would get them attention and more subs meaning more money in their accounts....but they were only doing it because it was for charity and nothing else.

The fact that it was a song that was decades old that most people likely already have bet them was hilarious, more so since it is such a great song and one you love hearing every year unlike the cacophony that has won the last few who won't be remembered in 5 years, never mind nearly 40.

Honest review of Rob tonight. Came on at 9.30, did the standard songs. Didn't change for Outside as he usually does. Finished a shade after 10.30pm, no encore, no Last Christmas, no Band Aid, nothing. Just went !
To say we were disappointed is an understatement.

Don’t know if any other fans enjoy the Rock in Rio concert as much as I do, but one of my favourite covers of his is Tonight by Elton John. There is no song this man couldn’t cover. He always made it his own.

Please, he wasn't murdered. I've said this before on here but I heard in early 2016 through a friend who worked for a news company that George didn't have long left and wasn't expected to live past the end of the year.

There is no big satanic presence in the music industry. It just so happens that the people at the top of it are usually corrupt, of course - just like any industry. Corrupt evil bastards run the world.

What George was addicted to is only really prevalent in the Gay mans community, ( Hence the therapy in Zurich with a specialist who deals with that in particular and also his London Therapist David Smallwood)
It was ChemSex mainly, which is made mainly in homemade labs and Strengths and doses are extremely hit and miss
Fadi and Paul Stag were suppliers ( amongst others) and who knows what he was being given
I think it was an Accidental overdose which lead to the heart attack and Fadi and George had an argument on Christmas Eve which is why Fadi was sleeping in his car and panicked when he found George.
Melanie I believe ( These are my personal opinions) couldn’t live without him and in some way took her life, which may have been Diabetes related ( I’m type2 and it’s not hard to go into a Diabetic Coma if you wanted Out)
The Music Industry is Evil, I worked for a Record Company ( Savage and TamTam) for a while as a Temp and it was a Dark place sometimes, If you want Success you have to sell your soul in someway, and keep your mouth shut, My daughter is a multi talented musician and I’ve not encouraged her, I also had a very Dear friend ( Sadly passed away 2 years ago in March) Natty Wailer who was one of Bob Marleys Wailers who also did his best to keep my daughter grounded
She does Session work and teaching and I’m really proud of her
Ultimately No one Knows and No matter what Facts musings or Fiction won’t bring him back or Melanie
I Cannot Imagine how Anyone who knew and loved him, him being a Bright supernova of a human being would feel about his Early departure
And how they have behaved may have looked like to us on the outside, I say that with the Exception of Fadi Fawaz because he I believe is Evil
He was a Hardcore Gay porn star and he was in the apartment when Stephen Gately from boyzone died in very mysterious circumstances

-a few memories
As a kid of the 70s and 80s I listened to the top 40 every Sunday afternoon on radio 1/2? Can’t remember. I also collected the smash hits stickers and had the album. I used to buy smash hits and No1 magazine. Loved them both. I wasn’t a huge wham! fan, I was a culture club girl. I remember one morning getting ready for school and Wake me up before you go go was being played on TV AM. I loved it.

Fast forward to 1987, at big school. I asked for the Faith album for Christmas from my mum and dad. I had loved careless whisper as a junior school romantic at the disco . George as a solo artist was a new phenomenon. I played my new Faith CD on Christmas Day and the first song was I want your sex. I could have died from embarrassment as my mum and dad sat listening. I didn’t really like that song. Father figure was the best and most mature track on that album by far in my opinion.

I bought the double CD of ladies and gentlemen and played it so much. I just thought that this man had the most perfect voice and such emotion and heart in each song. Cowboys and Angels

Christmas 2016 was an emotional one.My dad was in hospital and we had been to see him on Christmas morning. The Salvation Army came and played in the wards which made me cry like a baby. I cooked Xmas lunch for the family after leaving dad in the hospital (which we all didn’t want to do but I think he was happy for the rest after we left). We were playing trivial pursuit at the kitchen table late afternoon when a news notification came up on my phone. George had been found dead on Christmas Day. I couldn’t believe it. It was so unbelievably tragic. I was so sad for him and his family. I’d always loved George and I was gutted for him having been so sad in his final years.

I went to see the George exhibition at Christie’s a few years ago. It was amazingly emotional and very well put together exhibition. I’ve got a few photos and videos of that exhibition if anyone’s interested in seeing it.

George has literally been the soundtrack to my life since I was 11, and still is. There’s a Song that will reach deep into your soul no matter what your going through Good Times or Bad Yog has always been there
