@Mselvista to be fair to @mindlessness you could ask her why she feels like that or try to understand a bit about her perspective. It’s great that you’ve linked resources but presumably on a thread like this one of the main resources is people speaking freely?
I think it's only a slur when used in the wrong context. 
What does it mean to feel like a boy or a girl though? I don’t mean that to sound rude and I appreciate everyone’s different. It’s just I never seemed to have gotten an explanation of what this actually means apart from what seem to me like gender stereotypes. Like, I don’t feel like a woman, I just am one. I don’t do my hair or wear make up or especially feminine clothing, I’ve always been what I guess people call ‘gender non conforming’ now but I was always just myself. To me being a woman isn’t a feeling, it’s just my body and my genetics.
I mean I wouldn't know. I'm just going off things my son has said who says he hasn't really ever doubted he wasn't a female. I don't think knowing your identity doesn't line up to your biological sex is a feeling anyone who hasn't felt it could understand.
I linked to the video to show an alternative viewpoint. A few people had said they weren't familiar with the issues and were just learning. The discussion seems to be very skewed to the "gender critical" point of view.
Re asking @mindlessness why she felt that way, yes, I could have. But I didn't. @mindlessness Is still free to go into further detail if she wishes.

I'm afraid I have to agree with @mindlessness. I tried to watch that exact video the other day and it was honestly really hard to watch. I get the feeling she's preaching to the choir with her videos. It looks like most of the people who comment are superfans saying this is their umpteenth time watching it. I clicked on it eagerly because I do have these "gender critical" questions that I would love answers to without intentionally trying to be a "transphobe" or a "terf." But I find that video extremely non-beginner-friendly. Straight off the bat, she's rude, sarcastic, passive-aggressive and yes patronising. I couldn't finish it either, sorry. I wanted to hear what she had to say but I couldn't put up with her for over half an hour.
She's playing a character. I'm surprised you find her rude and sarcastic. I think she's really measured. I also think she's funny. She takes the piss out of all participants in the trans "debate". Not in this video but in others.
I think that some feminist's obsession with trans women takes up too much time/bandwith that could usefully be used promoting actual women's issues. So in that sense as long as this issue dominates feminism progress will be slower in

I’m thankful the new act hasn’t come into play but the only problem I have now is that you can still be diagnosed with dysphoria yet not have any desire to take hormones or have the surgeries? I think that should be part of the diagnosis...
I told you why I didn’t finish the video, and clarified on specifics. I’m entitled to not watch something I think is patronising, yes? I think she probably made some valid points, in fact another tattler mentioned some, but I didn’t enjoy the video. That’s it.
Not all people with it want to. There’s multiple reasons why... my son wants top surgery but he’s not bothered about bottom despite the fact he hates what he has. That may change when he’s older but I think many trans people don’t go through every surgery.

But it's something I have seen said about Rowling's blog post. "Gender critics" saying that those who object to "gender critical" activists/activism should read JKR's post and engage with discussion about it.
For example.
One of the reasons why many objected to JKR's piece was because of the language used in it.
Just as you consider the use of "terf" (which I consider a shorthand adjective for a transphobe and not a gendered insult) offensive, many of the terms used by Rowling set off alarm bells. She may insist she is not a transphobe but she is using the language of transphobia. Similarly to how you consider Natalie Wynn to be using the language of misogyny.
And the goal posts have moved. I thought it was all about protecting single sex spaces.
Now it's about how a medical diagnosis is defined?

I saw those responses too. It's a valid point that you should be able to engage with opposing view points and actually give them a read or watch. Which I did, I tried. I just didn't enjoy her tone or language. Same way some, like you, didn't enjoy JKR's tone or language.
Look, I wouldn't be participating in this thread if I didn't want to engage in discussion on this issue. I think it was great you shared that video, its good to hear from different points of view.
The goal posts haven’t moved. The news today doesn’t just make it all suddenly ok. Transgender women in women’s sports is still an issue and companies like the body shop are still trying to call women ‘menstruators’.
