Drag has always been a contentious issue in the gender debate, it will be interesting if other student unions start following suit with Aberystwyth.
I am aware that there is a young autistic lad who used to get paraded by wokesters and trans activists, along with the council sponsored reading sessions for children presented by a drag queen. Will they too be revised under this new creed, I wonder?
As for the Superdrug thing, I believe they are aiming for a younger demographic so uni age and under. This is a thing for the youngsters who are still very black and white and “it will never happen to me”. Once the girls grow up and enter the adult sphere things take on a great deal more nuance, since some things only come with experience. Such as middle class identity politics have little place outside of Twitter and Reddit, and that they will find predatory heterosexual men will have far more opportunities to take advantage with little legal recourse. Rape / voyeurism / revenge porn are pretty much decriminalised right now if CPS charges and conviction rates are anything to follow.
Activists seem to be either naive and in some cases desperate for acknowledgement or cynical infiltrators who have their own objectives at play. The trans movement really need to start clamping down on their paedophile / MAP / PIE elements (not just Yaniv) and take a hard look at the alt right agenda they are playing into. E.g. stereotypical gender roles, isolating women and specifically religious (and frequently non-white women) from the public sphere by removing sex segregated spaces etc.
When do you think we will enter the Saudi model and actually need men to accompany women everywhere for protection, I think it will start by women asking their partners ”can you come into the unisex toilet with me and stand outside the cubicle, please dear?”
