Cyndi Lauper has designed this t-shirt to raise money for organisations that advance women’s rights. Looks cool, right?

Terfs on X were immediately suspicious when Graham Norton posted a photo of himself wearing one on his Instagram, since he is not known for his support of women’s rights.

Sure enough, Cyndi includes men in her definition of women. Another disappointment.

I love this spoof......... And also feel sad that Biff and Chip are no more. Instead we need to use phonics reading books, with such classics as
The fox ran in the grass. The grass is wet. The fox met a cat.

At least Biff and Chip had a story, and interesting pictures..... current reading schemes are often dire! Phonetically correct, but incredibly boring.
Off topic here but I have to agree. School reading schemes turned my bright, book loving, eager and starting to read five year old into a sullen, sulky cat who flatly refused to engage with books at all. I begged his teacher for a straight forward story book for his reading homework but she flatly refused, insisting he had to stick to the dire phonetics scheme current at the time. In the end we just did our own thing, ignored the school books at home for a while and made reading enjoyable again. It did no harm, he was reading years ahead of his actual age by the time he was 8 and enjoying it.

I'm actually shocked by that as I thought being a druid was all about being in tune with nature and respecting the natural world. WTF has a trans rights got to do with that? It totally goes against nature when people are pretending to be the opposite sex, mutilating themselves and taking drugs that will keep big pharma happy for life.
I'm not really, look at how they have been drawn to the Green Party.
The modern Druid orders trace their roots back to the 18th century. I'm not going to lower the tone by saying that they began with a bunch of chaps putting on white dresses and prancing about, but it is true to say that performance and spectacle are a large part of what they do. I'm not comfortable with them hogging the solstice celebrations at Stonehenge with their quasi rituals. I accept you probably need some focus, but I assume they have the monopoly. If I wanted to get up in a leather cap with small antlers, I wouldn't stand a chance. There are also quite a few different Orders from where they have previously disagreed and split, a bit like in the Life of Brian with The People's Front of Judea and the Judean People's Front.
Wasn't Ken Barlow from Coronation Street a Druid in real life?

“Unsafe” 🙄

What danger were they in because someone used a word (accurately) that they didn’t like?

In fairness they are VERY unsafe - because if they get into a situation where they have to define their terms and argue logically, they know very well that the whole edifice of lies they have built around themselves will collapse onto them and crush their lives into dust.

THAT'S why they are "unsafe".

So let me get this right.

Trans people can't use a unisex toilet because it's too "outing" - but they can have an extra break from work to rearrange their underwear, and that's not outing? 🤔

I'd be more intrigued about why a work colleague was allowed more paid breaks than I was, rather than which toilet they used.

I knew I loved this thread but knowing Tom Daleys knitting annoys you all and the support for each other makes me love it more.

there’s some fab advice on the peri menopause thread too xx
He only ever seems to knit bleeping dishcloths anyway.

A four-year-old can do that.

I thought you were a male poster for a while because of your user name and photo!

Hopefully you won't need to take HRT. I know a lot of women think it's fantastic but I decided not to go down that route when I hit the menopause and tried various natural herbal alternatives (none of them work by the way, so don't waste your money). I had to consider the risks associated with breast cancer due to my mother and grandmother dying from it.

Yes the menopause isn't pleasant with the hot flushes etc but if you ignore it as much as possible the symptoms gradually lessen over time. Even if you get the HRT you can't stay on it forever and will face the symptoms at some point.
There's nothing weak about taking HRT, it's a very sensible option for a high percentage of women and has a lower increased cancer risk than you get from being overweight or drinking moderately. You don't need to stop taking it and it doesn’t delay menopause anyway (symptoms don't stop for many women when the become post menopause regardless of if the take HRT or not) and modern HRT is very very safe. You wouldn't tell a diabetic to ignore their stmptoms and there's a lot more to it than hot flushes (crippling anxiety made it difficult for me to function). I wish that so much misinformation on this wasn't so mainstream so people could make properly informed decisions both for their current and future health.

I've mentioned on here that there isn't any part of my body that hasn't been impacted by peri. Hormones run everything.
I thought I had got off lightly during menopause, I had sleep and memory problems, infrequent hot flushes but not the raging/sweating kind, no HRT.
Fast forward a few years when I was prescribed an oestrogen supressant after breast cancer treatment, this caused such debilitating effects with severe joint pains and also heart problems, that after eighteen months of hell (in agreement with BC clinic) I made the decision to stop with the pills.

On topic...these trans people are destroying their health in their goal to be what they're not.

Cleverly worded to trick money out of gender critical people who think they will be supporting women, not men in frocks.

mats.

@Brian Butterfield much love your way.

I thought I was going insane 15 months ago. I suddenly felt anxious driving my car, at times had intrusive thoughts of crashing it into a wall. I made medication errors at work which were so daft I felt useless. Brain fog, itchy skin, migraines, depression.
HRT has literally saved me. I will be on it till I die and that suits me just fine. Please see your GP. Don't be fobbed off with antidepressants.
Write a list of all your symptoms and if you want to research as above the perimenopause threads on here are great.
You have always been one of my faves and you deserve to feel like you again.
❤
Echoing the love to everyone going through peri - and actual - menopause.
Strangely I’ve found that now menopause has firmly settled in, my symptoms are even worse than perimenopause was for me 😳
I was ignorant of what it was actually like because it’s ignored, or belittled, or women are accused of being over dramatic about periods, about childbirth, about perimenopause or menopause, indeed, about anything that only women deal with.
I read your post and got tearful actually because I realise I’m not going mad because I’m suddenly terrified of driving familiar routes, have awful difficulty concentrating, foggy heads, general anxiety; stomach problems, etc., etc.
It’s not madness; it’s my hormones making everything so very difficult.
Sadly I can’t have HRT due to family history of BC, but I’m grateful yet again to this thread, for educating me!

I never said there was anything weak about taking HRT !!!! as far as I'm concerned that's a personal choice.
All women have different experiences so I can't fathom why you think an attack is in order here.

Main story in the DM, it's really kicked off with this male athlete winning again in California. The one where the girl that he beat waited for him to bugger off then got up on the podium to have photos in her rightful place.

Even if trump withheld funding to the state, they would just raise more money and carry on. The only way to stop this is for women and girls to refuse to compete. I know that would ruin their sports as well but idk any other way to stop this. These male athletes and governors refuse to abide by the law and by the time they've they've won competitions it's too late to do anything.

Glad to see Steve Bunce getting his a handed to him on X. He spent the whole of the Olympics saying that the only reason people thought Khelif is male is because hes not feminine enough and that the IBA test results were rubbish. He‘s now retconning to say that he‘s glad that Khelif will get the independent tests that he was calling for last summer. But he wasn’t doing that at all - he was having a go at anyone who suggested it.

Him and that misogynist wick Adrian Chiles can get in the bin
