That's pretty much what Peri is, reverse puberty.
@Brian Butterfield If your GP tries to give you anti depressants refuse (unless you do have a history of depression)
Personally I'm not on HRT because I do clinical trials and they often don't allow HRT, however they are finding it increasingly difficult to draw blood from me so it looks like my side hustle is coming to an end. If so I'm definitely going on HRT because
I am having terrible trouble with my bowels (not cancer) apparently there are estrogen receptors all through our intestines so menopause affects our digestion and on top of that your sphincter muscle loosens)
I do have a history of depression, but having been on antidepressants from 12 years old until my 30s, I'm well-versed in all that. Never want to go on them again, despite my depression and low mood; they simply do not work for me.

Getting a GP appointment where I live is nigh on impossible, but when I did finally manage to see someone, I was fully armed and adamant that I didn't want to be fobbed off with anti-depressants, and I needed HRT. I was very frank about my symptoms and how much it was affecting my life. She was great to be fair, and I've been on Lenzetto srapy and progesterone tablets for a while, but they're just not working for me anymore. I can't face the follow-up or the battle to try and get a face-to-face appointment, though, as I feel so much worse than when I first went over a year ago.

I begged my husband last night to do some research into menopause so he could try to understand what I'm going through, and he flatly refused and said, "There's always something with you. If it's not this, it will be something else". I actually hate him right now. I'll caveat this by saying I have a chronic illness, so this colours his attitude.

I'm in my 30s so peri-menopause plus menopause are still in my future, but I just wanted to say men will never fully understand how much we have to deal with cramps, blood, mood changes, fatigue, iron issues, hormone issues just from our monthly cycles, plus then those women who go through pregnancy and the after effects of giving birth have to deal with strain and risk upon their bodies, and then for years women have to deal with peri-menopause symptoms, then menopause etc. When do we bloomin' get a break? And some men have the gall to treat us like old unattractive witchy crones when we come out the other side having dealt with/suffered with all that for decades! Mother nature is very unfair when it comes to the distribution of pain upon the two sexes!

And then these 'dolls' want to try claim womanhood without having to experience any of that pain and anxiety and fatigue!

Hugs to any of us currently suffering with some aspect of our lived experience.

I appreciate this thread so much.

I hope this is not overstepping but please consider whether all your symptoms may improve if you were to LTB ❤

Your HRT needs adjusting, is there a menopause clinic near you, if not just camp out at the surgery for an appointment. RE Your husband, I can't help with that but my general rule is that if someone had a happy marriage (or great job) and all of a sudden that changes then stick it out because it's the lack of hormones talking, if, however, your marriage, job, etc was miserable beforehand then the menopause can be a great opportunity to change things.

For better or for worse Brian wonder what he would have said if the shoe was on the other foot, I am so sorry you are going through this, please keep fighting for a doctors appointment, keep plodding with husband they quite often bury their heads in the sand, just keep telling him it will get through to him eventually, always happy to talk, lots of love and support here keep going you are doing a great job

You are wonderful and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. TBH, 'Lilly' cracks me up because he's always posting tik toks about being misgendered as 'Sir'. It's because you are a man, mate, no amount of magic bras or moisturisers will change that.

As for Unison, as someone who has recently left a job in the public sector due to bullying, they are about as useful as a chocolate teapot, absolute bleeping waste of oxygen.
There was an article i read recently whereby a Transgender person was 'misgendered' at one of the Disney resorts.

The staff member apologised profusely, yet the Trangender individual saw the need to create a TikTok video to say they felt 'unsafe' after that encounter.

Luckily there were a few comments along the lines of 'stop being so stupid', 'you are out of order' - especially after the staff member apologised.

The best comment I read was along the lines of 'it is always one sided with the Trans community, all take and no give - there is never and middle ground, or listening to reason.'

Which is VERY true.

“Unsafe” 🙄

What danger were they in because someone used a word (accurately) that they didn’t like?
