It's not TERF'y, if it was then they would have won the vote to prevent TiM swimming there.

I’m talking about the vibe and demographic of most swimmers there (mainly middle aged, middle class north London women who seek out purportedly single sex spaces… hardly TRA types) rather than the few wazzocks from City of London Corp making the decisions about trans inclusion for whatever bureaucratic / financial / pandering reason. Haven’t read the article but it got me wondering about Esther Freud’s influence. She presumably lives in Hampstead and it’s the sort of place Freud money/influence would go to.

The regular women who are on the pond association have no say in the inclusion policy. I can guarantee we wouldn’t be in this mess if they did.

With regard to the absurd claim that black women will be challenged in female toilets, I work with an all-black (apart from me) team of women and I can 100% guarantee that none of them have ever been mistaken for a man. My wider team is probably 70% black, as is my immediate boss, and her boss. None of them resemble men in any way, shape or form.
It's bad enough that TRA's try to use the old "no blacks, no Irish" (etc) signs to imply that they're victims of discrimination, but their blatant racism and bigotry gives them away every time.

And isn't it about time that the term "intersex" was put out to pasture? It perpetuates the myth that people with sexual development disorders are somehow a mix of both sexes, or that they can pick and choose their "gender" at will. Thre used to be a guy on X who had a DSD and who was excellent at correcting erroneous statements put out by TRA's using these conditions to justify men in women's sports etc.

That doesn't seem right following the Supreme Court ruling.

One thing I have noticed over the last couple of weeks is the courage that women (inc work colleagues, friends, online connections) have gained following the SC ruling to be that little bit more Terfy. It feels as though we are more able to find our voices and speak up and call out injustice.

Because we might not be liked for it but our GC views are legal and protected and we can now say with certainty that the law protects our same sex spaces. IDC if other women "don't mind" it's not legal

My social media is full of people posting along the lines of "if you can call the new pope by his chosen name you can do it for trans too"

I've seen that several times today. It's not the same thing at all. It's a bit like an actor using a stage name, or when kings and queens adopt a regnal name - George VI really being an Albert, for example. It doesn't change what that person's own personal name is, and it can be freely referenced and talked about without anyone having an acute identity crisis or threatening anyone.

Just in from a night out and had the terfiest taxi driver in the land drive me home

I got in and had barely sat back when he said “I’ve just had one of the women who were involved in that Supreme Court decision in the back, do you know about that?”

Do I know about that yes sir, I do. And we were off. Fifteen minute cab ride was enough to cover all the most salient points, from “did you see that Algerian boxer punch that woman in the face at the Olympics” to “what did JK Rowling say that was so bad anyway?”.

His closing remark as I got out was, “I talk to a lot of people and nobody really believes this balls”.

Not most everyone - everyone. Everyone is a terf. Everyone knows who the women are and everyone demonstrates it one way or another. If you know which group of people you want to cede rights to which other group of people, you're a terf. You know who the women are.

Mindlessly browsing instagram and this comes up about the FA stopping transwomen playing in womens competitions. Apparently its about acceptance, confidence, being part of a team, enjoying a kickabout, theres barely any of them etc.

I don't get how any of that equates to transwomen should get to compete in womens only tournaments. Surely all the above could be achieved by joining a mixed sex team or just training with the womens team if they're cool with that.

Of course Maisie has a transwoman on her team so likely enjoys that advantage in competition.

Disappointed that Maisie has bought in to this.
Once again; no one is saying trans people should be excluded from playing football.
Just that they cant play in women’s teams.
What’s hard about it?
I’d be interested to know if the fact that a trans woman has been allowed to play in a women’s team has meant that an actual woman has dropped out, or not joined a team, due to her religious beliefs not allowing her to play and get changed alongside men.
I wonder how the likes of Maisie would square that one.

Saw that and started watching but decided I couldn't be arsed. Do these privileged wankers not see that if a TiM takes a spot on a team, not only has a woman missed out on a place but there are others who will have self excluded.

Saw a pen Pink News thing on Insta about a woman being removed from toilets in the States. I genuinely believe this one happened. She was very tall, fairly masculine looking and had an athletic build. I actually would've taken her for being male. But as soon as she started speaking, it was obvious she was female. I bet this isn't the first time it's happened to her and I expect she's just had to explain. All because blokes can't stay out of spaces not designed for them

the gays just want to exist and have the same rights as everyone else which thank goodness they have. I live next to a gay couple. They’re amazing people who don’t support the trans agenda. We’ve had many an interesting conversation.

Agree.

And to my mind, just wanting to exist means just wanting no-one to take any notice of you as you go about your life because you are no different to anyone else.

You may have a different sexuality, but that's just like having a different hair colour. It's something which is, but is unremarkable.

But the trans don't want that - they want to be the centre of everything, and receive special treatment and constant public praise. That is not "just existing". It's domination.
