Male workers should be able to carry out mammograms, experts say
The Society of Radiographers says allowing men to do mammograms would reduce staff shortages.
The answer in this country, rather than train and employ more of the right people, just seems to be, "just let anyone so it!" which u guess is one step up from "let's just not bother".
Reminds me of prisons, where rather than taking responsibility for proper reform, the government are like, "why don't we just stop sending criminals to prison?!"

As a PP said earlier, it makes no sense as there'll have to be a female chaperone. TIMs aren't legally women no matter what they think so having a man in there requires a woman there as well.
Watching the BBC lunchtime news; first the male radiographers breast screening story presented from one side only, then the story of the trans judge bringing a case to the ECHR, again just his side of the story.
Last night, it was the final episode of Chess Masters Endgame on BBC2, where 12 ‘rising chess stars’ compete against each other for the trophy. I’ve watched every week and the premise was that there were 6 male and 6 female candidates. Only in the first episode, it was apparent that one of the ‘female’ candidates was a TIM. Looked, acted and sounded like a man. So, five women and seven men. No surprise that the final three in the competition were men, and to top it off, the TIM won. Throughout, the audience was gaslit with all the presenters, including Sue Perkins, fawning over this male and referring to him as a woman.
Just knew he was a TRA

So we can take from the assertion that the trans friend passes, that there is no friend.... he's asking for himself. If people truly pass there'll be no issue with using the toilet as no one would suspect they aren't the right biological sex.
I'm overjoyed at this.
I've protested it several times, the last being a bloody freezing cold, rainy night in February.
This is why we do it, it pays off.

Disabled (or accessible) toilets are often separate, unisex toilets. Although there have been complaints from those who use them that they'd prefer the toilets to be housed within the same-sex facilities, it's not always practical due to the amount of room that's needed. The other argument is that when someone needs help from the opposite sex (whether that's family or a female carer assisting a male) it's inappropriate for either to go into the opposite sex toilets.That Trans judge is going to appeal it (is that even possible) as they feel "contained and segregated". The point I'm making is that some people who have to use the unisex toilets due to disabilities don't like it. How many protests have there been over this? How many banners saying "Kill all able bodied people!" How many companies have altered their facilities to create space for 3 disabled toilets - in the Ladies, in the Gents and a unisex one? (All self contained with their own washbasin. a medical bin and a waste bin). How many have had huge banners in the window saying that disabled people can feel safe with them? Where are the handmaidens?
Could it be that those who don't like the fact that it's unisex accept that life isn't perfect, we all have to tolerate things we don't like and if we feel strongly enough to want to change something then we join a campaign and voice our opinions, write to our MP etc.
ps - I know darn well why the men don't want to be excluded from our toilets.

Interesting discussion on Jeremy Vine today about male Mammagram radiographers. Started off with the usual....isnt it odd to have a service so far behind the times......then came the comments!!! They had to work extremely hard to find anyone in favour, the large majority of women wanted a female operating the mammagram machine.
With some powerful reasons against, the issue of encouraging reluctant women or women from certain cultures to attend, the discomfort of having your boobs manipulated by someone to have them put into the machine, and the inappropriateness of someone of the opposite sex doing it. The need for chaperones, so there wouldnt be any reduction in staff, in fact there would be an increase, and the fact that a lot of men would be uncomfortable in touching a womans breasts, even in a work situation.
And only the idea of other male professionals in things like gynae services to comment on as a contradictory view!!
