The trouble is dignity and respect should work both ways!

The biggest issue I have with the whole transgender debate, is that it doesnt feel as if biological women are being treated with dignity or respect, for their rights to single sex exemptions being maintained.

Why shouldnt a female grape survivor, have the entitlement to grape crisis support from another biological woman? Why shouldnt a female nurse of NHS professional have the right to change in a single sex changing room? Why shouldnt an elderly or disabled woman be able to specify that they want intimate care from another biological woman? Why shouldnt a biological woman ask for and get , a single sex ward?

Why shouldnt biological woman be able to raise safeguarding issues against the weirdos that are abusing the transgender gravytrain, ie the Isla whatever his name of this world? Or the sexual predators who are dressing up as women to kidnap and abuse young girls, or flash at women out of the window.

Maybe there are some genuine trans people out there, who arent trying to abuse the system, but unless we have a clear legal definition of what a biological woman is, how on earth can we legally challenge this and keep the weirdos out?

How stupid are some ? Do they really not see the dangers out there?

omg if she gets off the phone go and say something! Like well done!
I hung around for ages (at a respectable distance), but she didn’t get off the phone 😔. She walked past me several times whilst on the call (our Tesco lobby is massive) and was deep in conversation about people misrepresenting the ruling. Eventually she walked out (still on the call). I so wanted to go after her, but that would have been stalkerish, so I reluctantly went and did my shopping. I really wanted to go and thank her, but couldn’t have interrupted her conversation.
Oh this enrages me even more. He’s still all about the trans women.

ETA it’s a whole thread of clips. Utmost respect to Kemi for being so direct. Zero respect for Starmer.

We’re back to women wanting to maintain same-sex spaces being referred to as a ‘political football’. Our rights to single-sex spaces were taken away by the back door, yet we’re the ones being told to be reasonable. duck off Keir.

I rejected a job offer recently and I am really wishing I had taken it now after seeing what the organisation I work for has put out about the supreme court ruling last week. I am absolutey raging.

Apparently it WILL be upsetting for colleagues, not MAY be upsetting for SOME colleagues! Obviously only those who are mentally ill or perverts can access the best cancer care, biological women have to put up with these creeps on the same wards as them.

Is that redacted word "Macmillan" by any chance? I don't work for them but (unfortunately) have needed their services.

That would never happen as none of them ever pretend women are men, it’s all about making women a subcategory of their own sex with trans women at the top.
They're the new wimmins
Men would soon pipe up if they had to wife up a pretend woman.

I'm inclined to agree a bit. JK has been widely vilified by deranged activists though so it's understandable that she's speaking her mind but perhaps she should step back and dial it down a bit because it's making the deranged lunatics even worse in their hatred for her.

Partly I think they should just be ignored but equally they do need to be challenged because not challenging them has led to their activism being adopted by so many institutions. It's a difficult call.
Maybe part of the plan is to reveal to a wider audience how utterly unhinged these individuals really are.

Personally, I really have zero time for anyone on the uber/progressive/radical left - where most of this type of crap originates from.

It is always the same, whatever the topic.

"Our way, or no way.'

There is never any middle ground, or reasoning with these people.

They are so indoctrinated in their views, that many have lost sense of reality, ability to properly debate, or listen to reasoning.

As soon as you start to put an opposing opinion across, you are shouted down, labeled, and/or canceled as a result (usual 'playbook'). With accusations of 'feeling unsafe' in your company, and faux anxiety attacks - conveniently occuring at time when they are losing an argument, or don't want to hear what you have to say.

Just who do these idiots think they are.

As far as im concerned, when they have to resort to their usual 'playbook' to attempt to win an argument, they have automatically lost their argument.

The best thing we can do for this country is to ensure they always remain a minority fringe. Otherwise we could well see an attempt at reversing sex/gender policy once again, further down the road.

And for new visitors, the transgender debate in the UK was triggered for me, a few years ago, with the nonsensical attitude, to me, from the Green Party towards women's issues. The labour party currently dont feel a lot better.
Womens rights, and those trying to stand up for womens rights, were completely railroaded and obliterated by Trans rights. It felt as if the right of a transwoman was more important than anything else, much more important than the environment or environmental issues for instance.

It made no sense to me, how basic biology was being ignored,
and also as someone who campaigned massively against things like animal testing on animals for beauty products, as a teenager, it seems to me to be an odd development to encourage the use of so many pharmaceutical proceedures on people, that must have been previously tested on mice, dogs, monkeys etc. If you know anything about pharmacology testing, to be passed as fit for human consumption, All of these puberty blockers and hormone treatments etc, must have been tested on animals first to check that they are safe to use for people. And if I remember from my youth, all the safety treatments would involve hundreds upon hundreds of tests on animals, bred exclusively for this purpose.
I always thought some limited testing of new drugs, that would save lives, before being tried on people, was ok, but I dont personally agree with breeding and using hundreds and thousands of mammals to test drugs on, for something that feels to me like human vanity.

Well we've certainly seen some absolute nutjobs having temper tantrums since the ruling. Many people who haven't given this matter much thought before would be shocked seeing placards calling for Terfs to be killed.
Some of the activists insanity has been more widely exposed.

You're right that although we're celebrating now these people will keep up the pressure to get this decision reversed and we have to keep fighting back. I don't trust our government at all.

Yes funny that TWAW until it comes into entering a physical relationship with one.

There was a man who posted on a forum I was a member of who always popped up on trans threads to state TWAW and argued with anyone who disagreed. He was a virgin who lost his virginity in Amsterdam to a paid prostitute. Bet he would have asked for his money back if 'Lotte' had had a pen.....

Easy to parrot TWAW for brownie points but when it comes to it men like that know exactly who the actual women are when it comes to getting their precious orgasm.

I agree. When people were upset and protesting about the kids being murdered in Southport, they had a valid grievance about two tier policing. But men being made to use the men's facilities, really seems a bit daft. Especially when many are entitled, aggressive thugs who will deface and urinate on anything thing they come across.
This isn't true, especially as the rioters were not protestors and were rioting out of racism rather than because they care about children (cf Elon Musk and his "campaign"). There's no such thing as two-tier policing, it's just a meaningless catchphrase.

This has come from the aggression of activists, the refusal to allow any nuanced discussion and allowing people to self-identify.

I think Rowling needs to tone it down a bit. I suspect that like Maya Forstater (who I agree with) she has been a bit crazed by the vicious attacks on her. I entirely understand and I would be the same, but it isn't pleasant seeing her go for people like "India" despite how vile they are.

I feel the same about all the grotesque experimental surgery they undergo too. Some poor defenceless creatures will have been subjected to this freakish stuff which should not even be considered. We know how dire the end results are in humans, I hate to think of the immense suffering of lab animals in an attempt to get this “right”. And for what? It’s not saving lives, it’s mutilation of mentally unwell people.

She makes the occasional jibe at Himdia and it's always on point and, quite frankly, funny. It doesn't even begin to touch the sides of how much he rages at her and when you realise she's had angry men threatening to grape, strangle, bomb, burn, stab and shoot her every day for over five years, I don't know how anyone can think her response has been anything other than measured and usually humorous. She is a highly prolific and successful writer; composing tweets doesn't take her very long.

If she were a man, people would be calling her reactions weak and ineffectual..

I've seen a few responses on social media this week that JKR needs to be kinder, not gloat etc. It's amazing how people know what a woman is when she's not being all demure and ladylike, isn't it?

JKR can have a smug fiesta for the next decade flanked with a dancing chorus line, considering the tit that has been levelled at her over the years.

Starmer would hold his breath and pass out before he apologises to women, but we're expected to rise above things, be patient, try to see the other side, stay calm, be empathetic, again and again. As always, protect the men and their feelings. duck that.

Article in the Telegraph about one of them not affirming that TWAW, unlike transmaiden co-leader Carla Denyer. Darren Johnson, former Green Party member of the London Assembly, who was suspended from the GP for criticising its dismissal of Cass, has this take
