I thought the abortion comment was bad, but are there any depths that these sick men won’t stoop to? For one, you’re a man, you haven’t got a cervix you stupid fucker and for two, well I actually don’t have words at how distasteful this is.
I hate him. One of my closest friends had a cervical cancer scare 3 years ago.I thought the abortion comment was bad, but are there any depths that these sick men won’t stoop to? Comedy is dead at the moment. All the comedians I used to like 10-15 years ago have either run out of jokes or become so woke (to keep their tv slots) that they have become unfunny bullies. Comedy used to also allow us to take the piss out of ourselves, but these blue hair brigade take themselves so seriously that they just can't handle satire, etc.And it's a comedy show? What a barrel of laughs they sound...
I'm proud of you. Seriously. I've yet to say something like that to someone. Some of these women just don't think past 'must be kind' and so they insist on including everyone. And the TRA machine knows this, they know how easily manipulated some of us can be by the idea of 'must be kind'.View attachment 3498500
Maybe a tad dramatic on my part but nothing riles me more than a woman enabling men. I wish her no harm of course.
Oh, thank you! I'm actually really non-confrontational and fairly quiet in real life so it did take a bit for me to press the button to comment.I'm proud of you. Seriously. I'm the same, I'm better at writing how I feel compared to saying it to someone in particular, but if it comes up I hope to do so.Oh, thank you! I'm actually really non-confrontational and fairly quiet in real life so it did take a bit for me to press the button to comment.
If there's one woman who sees my comment and starts to question why men have to be all up in our business I'll feel as though I've done something worthwhile.
I totally agree that comedy is dead. I can't remember the last time that I laughed at so called comedy on mainstream TV. I watched a bit of Red Nose Day this year and didn't laugh once. It was terrible. As for horrors like Romesh Ranganatham why is he even called a comedian? And how did someone so talentless even get a job on TV?Comedy is dead at the moment. I know old shows like Allo Allo and Fawlty Towers and The Two Ronnies were sometimes racist, misogynistic etc, which I don't condone, but some of the lines and scenes were pure wit, and often the characters were taking the piss out of themselves too, and when I watch them still I cackle my head off, even when by today's 'thoughts' I should not. Why, because they were actually funny. I love satire, but today it's just...dead.
You don't see comedians having fun actually taking the piss out of themselves anymore. They just stand there calling people transphobes and try to make every 'punchline' about virtue signalling. I just can't watch anything like that anymore.
I don't remember any jokes from today's comedians but I always have quotes from the old comedies swimming around in my head.
Everybody I know goes onto channels like "Dave" etc to watch the old comedy programmes - and a lot of the old drama series, too.Comedy is dead at the moment. When I was doing A level English in the early 90s, we studied the Trevor Griffiths play, Comedians, about a group of would-be comedians taking an evening class in stand-up comedy. This speech given by one of the characters has always stayed with me and very much rings true in the current climate.Comedy is dead at the moment. slightly OT but I’m introducing my daughter to tv via older, low stimulation shows with proper animation rather than the modern stuff. Bear in big blue house, Sesame Street, little bear, 90s/00s cartoons (generally less stimulating and flashy)Everybody I know goes onto channels like "Dave" etc to watch the old comedy programmes - and a lot of the old drama series, too.
The stuff being produced now is largely shyte, unfortunately.
I despise Frankie Boyle. He made a joke about paedophiles during a panel show he used to be on and at that moment was dead to me.Totally agree about the state of comedy. Blokes with stubble wandering round dressed like they're auditioning for the role of a tart with a heart in an ITV crime drama, claiming to be lesbians should be bread and butter for comedians. But no. Can't possibly joke at the hands of themost marginalised
The likes of the vile bleep Frankie Boyle who's previously made the most disgustingly misogynistic comments and jokes about the disabled but wouldn't dare make trans jokes. They can all duck off.
And making weak jokes about the likes of Trump and Musk (it was the same when Boris Johnson was PM) Low hanging fruit. And making sure everyone knows how much they hate JKR. duck OFF!
...And a very good morning to you all my lovely bigoted, phone pals. As you can see the sun shining has done nothing to improve my rage![]()

Yes exactly just making 'jokes' about Boris, Elon or DT. How predictable can you get? Easy targets to signify what a great virtuous person you are. I'm so bored of it. Nobody challenges anymore or appears to have any original thinking.Totally agree about the state of comedy. ETA sorry you have a cult worshipper as an MP. When questioned as to who she was ‘remembering’ she couldn’t name anyone.

So tree biology = good. Human biology = bad. Got it.
What a crappy headline from the BBC. As usual. There's a hell of a lot more to that, even at a quick read of the article, than 'being left out of a tea round'. bleeping hell.Jennifer Melle, the nurse who was disciplined for referring to a male p@edo as ‘Mr’ and had to put up with a tirade of racist abuse from him, has now been suspended by St Helier Hospital for a ‘potential breach’ of patient information, despite the fact that he wasn’t named.
St Helier seem to have a problem with misogyny:
