Has the thread seen this before? I only came across it yesterday and thought it was an excellent representation.

One criticism I saw is the final four people under the culpability section for dangerous ideologies/predators (like Pharma and Academia) are all female characters. Hopefully not that deep but not great.

At this point I don’t think there are any well meaning misinformed people, or eedjits. I think they are misogynists or ideologues or predators. And sadly the yeet the teets surgeon is a woman.

I was thinking about how misogyny is still rife the other day. I grew up in an era when women were objectified all the time, Miss World was considered good entertainment and blokes drooled over the page 3 topless woman in The Sun. Women on TV during my childhood were either 'sexy dollybirds' or middle aged battle axes. I started working in an era when men openly discussed whether a woman was looking attractive or not in the office and men thought it was fine to grope me. If you ever challenged them you got labelled as a sourpuss with no sense of humour

For a short while it seemed that women had made strides forward towards equal pay and being treated seriously at work but now we're going backwards again. Men know that they can't get away with saying the same sexist things at work that was prevalent in the 20th century so misogyny has moved in other directions. I guess the truth is that it never really went away and men have had to find new creative ways to undermine women that they feel threatened by. These rapists who decide in prison that they are now 'women' are a prime example of this. It's quite disturbing how many young men appear to hate women now.

I was saying this to Mr WL yesterday, using the same examples. From the male perspective all was right in the world, women knew their place, 'women's libbers' were ridiculed (the bra burning really was a mistake) and men didn't feel threatened. Fast forward to the present day and they do feel threatened due to their own inadequacies and the misogynists are lashing out. Whether it's the Taliban, the Tate brothers or the ones trying to infiltrate women's sport/ safe spaces, it's like some weird hive mind thing going on.

Fast forward to the present day and they do feel threatened due to their own inadequacies and the misogynists are lashing out. Whether it's the Taliban, the Tate brothers or the ones trying to infiltrate women's sport/ safe spaces, it's like some weird hive mind thing going on.

I just want to shout at them all, we are human beings. duck.
On a good day it's deeply unpleasant to read and hear what men say about women and girls. On a bad day it almost makes me want to cry and break tit.

That's Dr Sadhbh Gallagher, who practises in the States and uses that exact terminology to describe mastectomies on young women.

Of course some men will blame us for their attitude just for wanting to be treated like a human.

When I was mid-20s I was the first woman to work in the production area of an electronics company.
Most of the guys were alright but the older men were really nasty. They let me know they didn't like me being in their work area. Wankers.

I've experienced the opposite when reporting from male-dominated events. The older men don't seem to have anything to prove and, apart from the odd silly comment, are usually nice to me. It's the younger ones who are sometimes quite up themselves and snotty. I think that's because of my age, too. They would possibly be different to a very young woman.

I have the most trouble with security guards, for some reason.

The field I report from has an increasing number of TIMs in it, despite there being a majority of gender critical people.

I was worried too, but it looks like she needed to move out of her house quickly and thought she'd give residential care a go and it went, well, like that. She really is a queen, when she says "so what?" it gives me life. That's what we should be saying to these men when they tell us about how they feel like a woman. So what?

The Medical Tribunal panel believed that he had grape the woman, but because she was not a patient and the attack didn’t take place at work, they found that he had ‘not abused his position of trust as a doctor.’ That’s fine then: as long as you keep your sexual attacks on women separate from the work place, you’re still fit to practice medicine. Even the GMC wanted him struck off.

I went for a Google and found her comments on r*pe (which might have been out of context, I really don't know), and it was definitely them that got me angry, but I think I do mostly agree with her opinions.
