When they say "living as a woman", they think we spend our days painting our nails and plaiting tampons or whatever. They truly do not think we're people with an inner life and they comprehend none of the work that we do. So male.

I spend 87% of my waking life working out how to engage in pillow fights whilst wearing a silky baby doll nightie. 'tis exhausting.

WHY does wearing a bad wig, bad make up, long nails and god awful dresses, define these men as 'women' but having a uterus or XY chromosomes does not.
Men who identify as women, and dress as per the above, say that that's what makes them women, yet how many times have we heard, so many of our politicians mumble and stumble over the definition of a women?!?!
I'd like to ask a TRA just what is their definition of a women.
Because I suspect it would rule most of us out.

I find it so very embarassing the way the people who supported this nonsense are slowly backtracking or just saying nothing now us awful terfs have been repeatedly proven correct. I'm all for people changing their views based on new information, but have the courage of your convictions. Cowards with no integrity are utterly undeserving of respect.

It's especially galling to me because the people who pushed it, like the Novara lot, Jolyon Foxkiller, Owen Jones, David Tennant...they are all protected by their immense privelege and so they can afford to backtrack and still keep their privileged positions, material comfort and North London dinner party invitations. They can push harmful ideologies and remain unharmed by their consequences.

This is not the case for those who lack privilege. Vulnerable women, abused women, incarcerated women, and sterilised children will all be paying for the consequences of this terrible ideology for the rest of their lives.

TT Exulansic on Twitter is doing a series called the Dead Names, tracking the young people who sadly have committed suicide or been permanently disabled due to being sterilised and multilated. There's a new one almost every day. Many are actual children - under age 18.

It is disgusting to me that the privileged can simply resile from their former positions and carry on like nothing happened, whilst the vulnerable pay with their lives and their health.

I discovered my daughter's school had changed her name when I tried to book a parents' evening appointment online and she couldn't be found.
When I complained, their defence was that it was just an abbreviated for of her name like Chris for Christopher. After that they were under no illusions that they had to use her actual name when contacting me and had to refer to her as she not they.
I'd almost forgotten about that, it was so upsetting and enraging at the time. She has such a beautiful name. She threatened to change it when she hit 18 but we managed to convince her not to - although it's only family and those who've known her for years who use it. I like to think she's keeping the door open to acknowledge her femaleness in the future.

I’ve been reading these threads for a very long time. Sometimes I have a lot of catching up to do! I read a lot of threads on here, I love reading other people’s opinions. It’s how we learn and grow!
I’ve managed to get a lot of my friends and family to understand what’s going on too regarding all of this. They have never liked or commented on my social media posts about transgender issues because they feared they’d be reported to their bosses. The fear of that was very real, yet they’d all tell me in private how much it angered them.
I think people are realising they can stand up to this nonsense now. That they’re not alone and others recognise how ridiculous it all is!
Tattle gets a lot of heat about some threads, which I understand, but this thread and others about politics etc, they are very much a necessary source because it lets us all know we’re not alone in how we think and feel on important issues like this.
It reaches people! All of you discussing this have made an impact. Keep at it!

I got into an "argument" with my bf about the whole topic yesterday and am still not feeling great about it. I think we both roughly see equal here, but of course he had the audacity to tell me that he was looking at the topic more nuanced. I disagree, although I do acknowledge that his main concern probably isn't men in female spaces - his angle was more that if people have legally obtained the right to call themselves XYZ, then they can enter, but that his main issue is that the way to "declare yourself XYZ" is way to easy and was willfully left open by the government.
He also thinks that it's just a small minority that is pervs and weirdos, which I guess is true in some form, but it's certainly doing a disservice to everybody. And as long as that isn't sorted to keep the pervs out, I don't think that it should automatically mean that they can come in.

(I think I was mansplained yesterday. Normally he doesn't. I don't feel good about it, but I also don't want to raise an argument. I know he has watched a colleague struggle hugely before they came out as transgender (mtf) and thinks that the poor guy has enough problems as it is. I don't doubt that that colleague has had a ton of issues and will continue to have them, but why should that mean I need to "affirm" their identity. I'm pretty sure of my identity any time of day )

BIB And is your boyfriend happy for that bloke to see you naked?

ETA And if you go on to have children with him, is he happy for that bloke to see your daughters naked?

Why is a young person retransitioning being used as some kind of ‘gotcha’? Not sure a child transitioning, detransitioning, then transitioning again is something to celebrate. I would say it’s seriously concerning.

I saw this on my YouTube feed this morning. Some leftists now say that Pamela Anderson being make-up free is racist and transphobic. Transphobic apparently because 'transwomen' need makeup so this is apparently causing hatred to those because some random woman is not wearing makeup it's also racist apparently. But as this youtube points out, Alicia Keyes also often goes makeup free and no-one is calling her a transphobe.

Just when you think that maybe the tide is turning, and then you realise that it really isn't. Guy's and St. Thomas Trust has issued a new 'transgender equality' policy which states that trans employees can use the toilets and changing rooms of their choice. Further, it says that all staff must use trans people's preferred pronouns even if they don't agree with trans ideology:

Seems to me that this policy is an open invitation to staff to issue legal proceedings against the Trust. It's unbelievable that with the Sandy Peggie case currently being heard and the Darlington case in the pipeline, an NHS trust would double down and completely ignore the law.

It's just exhausting.

Apologies if this has already been discussed but I see that the ultimate Handmaiden to WokeBros Pick-Me, Ash Sarkar, gave an interview with that insufferable smug misogynist prick PoliticsJoe in which she basically said that wokeism/identity politics had gone too far, with reference specifically to the 'some women have penises!' debate.

I mean, Ash still appears to believe that some women have penises. And I know that the Novara Media lot have ALWAYS been middle class fake progressives of the sort that George Orwell wrote so revealingly about (which is why they all dislike Orwell: his truth-telling makes them uncomfortable). And I know that Ash herself lives very much a middle class privileged lifestyle very far from the 'literal communist' stuff she was claiming back when she was young and hungry for attention.

But tbh if Novara is quietly trying to row back on some of the more outre extremes of identity politics, then you just know the Overton Window has decisively shifted. Like AOC quietly removing pronouns from her bio. These are the social markers of a dying creed.

Spoiler: Off topic autism rant

I know I’m a bit touchy about it but my son was always different. I wasn’t surprised when his year one teacher told me she was pretty sure he was autistic but despite all my efforts, he didn’t get assessed until he was 11. So the idea that people can just rock up and get their kids diagnosed at the drop of a hat gives me the rage.

His autism is a total blight on both our lives, even though he is ‘high functioning‘ and if I could wave a wand and make him not autistic, I’d do it in a heartbeat. It has made him so miserable and lonely it breaks my heart.

I really hate all the autism is a superpower shit. It’s not. And nor is an excuse for bad behaviour or being an arsehole. I hate, hate, hate how it’s weaponised by both those groups. It doesn’t make you amazing, nor does it mean you can’t learn to behave in a socially acceptable way (for most autistic people).

I also think that getting rid of Asperger’s as a specific diagnosis hasn’t done anyone any favours. High functioning implies low grade autism whereas there are things my son can’t do which some much more severely autistic people could (go to a gig for example). And the phrase ‘we’re all on the spectrum’ also pisses me off. No we’re not. Being a bit quirky isn’t autism.

I have also complained. I pointed out that rape is in law a crime that only males can commit, and that victims and witnesses cannot be compelled to mis-sex rapists or domestic abusers in court ( https://archive.is/aIAkU ), and that the BBC should not be lying to the public and retraumatising victims by mis-sexing alleged rapists.
