Just catching up. I actually think this is quite dangerous. Defibs are the colour they are so they stand out and catch your eye and everyone knows what they look like. In an emergency if someone said to go grab the defib, I would probably look straight past this as it's not what I would be looking out for. It's like painting a fire alarm point grey.

Absolutely. Far more important stuff to cover like 'drag queen alarmed by passing seagull'.
I initially went to laugh emoji but you're bang on. Now I'm wondering if I can train seagulls before baby season in the hope a drag queen walks up my street. They're vicious little people (seagulls not drag queens) and they'll have your nylon wig soon as steal your chips. I will film the encounters and sell them to our local BBC "news" outlet. I'll be rich, rich I tell you! Sorry, got a bit carried away there.

This is the only thing I can find on the BBC website about trans. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cg4klq45ngvo At no point in the article does it give any indication that the reason the passport says “male” is because he’s a man. (I’ve no idea who this actor is). The way this stuff is presented, I think it’s deliberately confusing for a lot of people who don’t know what “trans man “ and “trans woman” are.

Im so fed up with the constant lying. He’s not a woman, he’s a man. His passport is now truthful.
Just looked him up on Wikipedia. That is one mixed up individual.

The BBC is so lost on me, I'm surprised they haven't campaigned to make the next James Bond a drag queen

Where is the justification in it? Why change the colour to that hideous flag? Why politicise or link a life saving device to an ideology? It’s totally irrelevant. Agree though. In the circumstances where anyone would be looking to use a defibrillator, you are going to be stressed and flustered and the thing should be clearly identifiable. Every second counts. Using it as a prop to push this narrative is ridiculous and potentially life endangering.
This though brings me back to my other concern. Why is this constantly pushed onto the public from all angles? Most people I know flat out do not agree with it, or aren’t interested.

I completely agree, I'm just saying the safety aspect, the whole point of the defib being the colour they are has been completely overlooked.

I see Trump and the Governer from Maine had a tit for tat, which ultimatley ended up with the governer of Maine saying she'll see him in court. Why?

She, wants to keep men in womens sports, yes she.

This is a very common thing to see - Women in positions of power actively fighting for the rights of men to be in women only places.

Truly disgusting from the BBC. No mention of women who wear wigs after losing their hair to chemo. Or like my sister to the devastating condition of alopecia at just 21 years old. I bleeping hate the BBC. How long till they tell us the Virgin Mary was actually a drag queen.
Well the woman who plays Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) is apparently going to play Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar.

And they don't think a sex swap might offend some Christians? 🫠 I'm sick of this kind of idiotic casting. I'm sure Cynthia is very talented but this is just nonsense.

I predict that 'Match of the Day' won't be so popular with female presenters either. Football is primarily watched by more men than women. The presenter should be an ex Football player who knows what he's talking about. When will companies realise that they need to cater for their audiences or people who buy their products instead of alienating them?

First I’ve heard. She’d be a great Mary Magdalene - but I suppose she only has one song. JSS was a rock concept album and it’s written for a male tenor who can go really quite high.

also Judas has the best songs…

Exactly. Plus it's borderline implying that unless that hideous flag was on it, the men pretending to be women would be left to die. Y'know with the way their lives are apparently constantly in danger and all that. 🙄

Be great if it did end up in court because that would make the decision permanent. At the moment it's just an executive order which could be rescinded by then next president.

This popped up in my FB feed.
I didn't bother reading the article BS, I guess she was referred to as a woman and / or a mother - which she is.

The comments were encouraging, though. Pointing out that she's a woman, they're tired of all the nonsense, medical staff have enough to do without thinking about pronouns.
Of course there's plenty supporting her, but mostly as replies to comments rather than to the article itself.

Here's just a few examples.

Big hugs for the poor trans identified male, with a male passport who's moaning about having to "out" himself to border guards, whilst simultaneously starring in a hugely popular TV show where he plays a trans identified male 🙄🥴

Of course this is considered extra terrible because Hunter passes a good deal better than your average TIM (he doesn’t pass in the sense that he’s indistinguishable from a female of course, he just doesn’t look like a garbage fire).

I wasn’t actually aware of this. He’s dangerous.

I can't believe we haven't had a drag queen on Strictly yet, competing as a woman. Can't be far off.

Did I read that Trump 'accidentally' called the Governor 'he'? She wasn't the most feminine looking individual. Maybe Trump thought she was a TIM.
