I was a big fan of TRIP from the start but their weak stance on trans issues and how that affects women’s rights is very disappointing and has put me off them a little bit. I don‘t think for one second that Alistair Campbell and Rory Stewart really believe that TWAW or don’t understand biology.

Anyway, Shelagh is busy putting all the ‘trans women‘ and trans rights defenders who are phoning her straight. She’s so calm and matter of fact with them and it really rattles them 😄
Given Rory has praised the witch trials of JK Rowling, I have no doubt that hes done his research and has come down on the side of sense. When they discussed how they wouldn't be discussing it, it was 100% from a place of cowardice that neither wants to put their cards on the table. I think like how Jonathan Ross' daughters got him to stop expressing a GC position that Alistair Campbells daughter told him her career will suffer if he discusses this or something equivalent.

62 UK doctors have had their registration history wiped by changing gender

Doctors who change gender are allowed to scrub past wrongdoing from public record
I find myself wondering how many of those 62 doctors who have apparently changed their gender, thereby enabling them to conveniently wipe the records of any wrongdoings, are male?

Probably about the same percentage as those criminals who magically change gender when charged with serious sex offences, so that they can serve their time in the prison estate of their choice. 😡

This is just completely unacceptable even in a world where you think people can ‘transition’. At least link the bloody history with the new registration FFS 😡

Obviously goes without saying that there should be no new registration at all but it’s insane that nobody has even been concerned to link them.

Very Interesting that this has been picked up by the media, I emailed the GMC a few weeks ago please see my question and their response below. To be fair I had not even thought about the issues around disciplinary sanctions – such as upheld suspensions and formal warnings – issued to a doctor before they transitioned.

not really a surprise that the GMC is another totally captured organisation....I need to go and have a read of the Gender Recognition Act!!

Hello

I wish to raise a query and possibly a concern about your policy of allowing members to reassign their gender and the future consequences of your organisation allowing such actions.

This question has been brought to mind most recently in the Peggie Vs Fife Health Board on going case.

For your information this case involves to my knowledge a person Mr Theodore Benedict Onni UPTON who identified as a man at the time of his first GMC registration - Registration number (7844321) and your records currently state "This person is not on the Medical Register and may not practise as a doctor in the UK.”

However this man is as, far as I am aware practising as a doctor in the Uk. This is because he has decided to change his ‘gender’ and is now registered under the name Elisabeth Ruth Annikki UPTON - Registration number 8038543.

Can you please explain how any member of the public would be able, upon searching for this doctor for any reason, be alerted to the fact that he had previously registered under a different name. As far as I can see your online system does not have any way of connecting these two records which relate to the same person.

I believe you as an organisation are the gatekeepers of who is and who is not legally able to practise as a doctor I would like to understand how you are fulfilling your obligation to provide relevant and up to date information to the general public.

Without the ability to be able to see all of your members registrations linked in an appropriate way, the general public have no ability to be able to question the qualifications of anyone presenting themselves as a doctor on your registration database.

I look forward to your response.

Their Response Received this afternoon

Thank you for your recent email.

I’m sure you will appreciate that we are not able to discuss the personal details of individual doctors with third parties without the consent of the doctor concerned, but I hope you will find the following clarifications helpful.

The primary purpose of the register is to give confidence that doctors practising medicine in the UK have the training, skills and experience needed to provide the standards of care that patients expect.

The Form and Content of the Registers Regulations 2015 require us to collect gender rather than sex information from doctors when they register with us. We offer a choice of two options for them – ‘man’ or ‘woman’. We publish this information and state that it will not necessarily equate to birth sex in every instance.

Our approach takes into account the fact that there are clear legal protections afforded to individuals, including doctors, relating to the use and disclosure of their personal information and their private lives. Most notably this includes human rights and equalities law, but data protection law and the Gender Recognition Act (GRA) are also relevant. We could not publish the biological sex of registrants in all cases, given the disclosure of someone’s previous identity when they have, or have applied for, a gender recognition certificate is an offence under the GRA.

There are a limited range of circumstances where we will issue a new GMC reference number to a registrant on an exceptional basis. This could include where they have changed their gender, but there are other scenarios, including where they are at risk of violence or harassment.

The new and old records will not be publicly linked to one another. We always retain an internal link between the two records, which is visible to the small number of people who require this information. This mitigates the risk that concerns about a doctor’s treatment when they practised in a previous name will not be picked up under the new record.

Finally, please note the guidance on our website to doctors on the use of their registered name and GMC number. In Good medical practice, which sets out the principles, values and standards of professional behaviour, paragraph 83 says that a doctor must ‘provide their registered name and GMC number’ to anyone who they encounter in their professional role who asks for it. This gives assurance that patients and employers can check a doctor’s qualifications and registration status and raise concerns if they need to.

Surely all they have to do is keep the same records, but change the name? Same as if a doctor changed their name after marriage or divorce.

This part of the response is really interesting. It's a classic "doctor" way of thinking. In other words, the public don't need to be aware that Dr loon may have had restrictions placed on his record when he was registered as a man. But rest assured, Joe Public, because WE will still keep a record that Dr loon has been on the medical register twice, under two names and with two separate registration numbers, and you don't need to bother your stupid non-doctor heads with it.

It's also inaccurate; they said that they record gender and stated that by gender they mean man or woman. But if you look at the register, they've recorded gender as male or female. I think most people would think that male/female refers to sex - ie natal sex, not gender as invented in loons' heads.

Definitely but what are some rapes and murders when the bigger goal is to keep men happy? We’re just collateral damage.
Quite. It's seen as the cost of freedom.

It's actually sinister how easy it is to get even self identified feminists to charge for female submission to male desires, up to and including undressing and erasing lesbianism, and allowing their bodies to be used as validation props no matter how they feel about it, if you just reframe it a bit.

The "Lambrini Girls" were on woman's hour today. I have already heard some of their rit on 6 music, they were banging on about solidarity with transwomen. And they have a song called Terf Wars. Here are the lyrics.

You think you can get away
With shitting on other women
In upcale cafes
Justify your hate
With an Oxford education
Gender neutral toilets
are not the problem
This is not your space
Because this space belongs to all women
You're not a femmenist
Your a stain on this earth
Shut your stupid bleeping mouth
You stupid bleeping terf
With a head so far up your a
You can escape the blame
Because you're upper class
Screaming your savourism
In marks and Spencer's
Appropriating femmenism
At your own volition
This is not your space
Because this space belongs to all women
You're not a femmenist
Your a stain on this earth
Shut your stupid bleeping mouth
You stupid bleeping terf
Absolving yourself
of guilt
As a self appointed martyr
You bleeping narcissist
Harbouring resentment
With your warped tunnel vision
Gaslight girlboss gatekeeping
Their whole existence
It's not your space, this space belongs to all women
Shut your stupid bleeping mouth you stupid bleeping terf
Shut your stupid bleeping mouth you stupid bleeping terf
Shut your stupid bleeping mouth you stupid bleeping terf
Shut your stupid bleeping mouth you stupid bleeping terf
There's a reason your kids
aren't returning your calls carol
It's because you're being transphobic on Facebook again
Just have a bleeping day off
I’m delighted to say I’ve never heard of these imbeciles.

Is the Lambrini element of their name to signal that they’re naff, tasteless, induce nausea, and no one would readily admit to being a fan?

I don't know about anyone else but I'm so tired of this tit. I've never known anything like it. These people have literally fabricated any entire movement and an enemy that didn't exist.

I don't give a duck how anyone lives their life, and yet this is constantly interpreted as "you hate transgender people and want them all dead". It's bleeping insanity. Me not participating in someone else's self image doesn't mean they cease to exist or I wish them harm - imagine the power 😂.

It's just exhausting. The constant, unrelenting logical inconsistency and DARVO from a movement that cannot even agree on a definition what it means to be "trans" and so obviously hates women.

I remember when the Internet was new and there was the hope that it would be egalitarian and give a voice to people who might not be otherwise heard, but all it seems to have done is create a platform for a lot of very loud and not very bright men, be they TRAs or the Andrew Tates of the world. They're all different varieties of the same thing - misogynist who think they get to define what women are, what we think and how we should behave.

It's like arguing with a bleeping goat. You're never going to get an intelligent answer from it, and by the end you're frustrated and it's still a goat screaming the same incoherent noise in your face. No offence to goats. It's exhausting. But me being who I am, I can't jut block it out and not think about it because someone has to stand up for women. All being well I've a fair few decades ahead of me and women can and will lose their rights as quickly as we gained them in the very, very recent past if we're not even allowed to define the material reality of being female on this misogynistic shitshow of a planet.

I truly believe the vast majority are suffering from a mental illness, and society is so terrified of being cancelled they are going along with it. At the expense of women.

the conflation of people who are “trans”’with people who are gay has made others terrified to question it; for fear of being seen as anti-gay/honophobic. From my perspective - trans is nothing to do with LGB and conflating the two is offensive to gay rights.

and I’m sick to death of women’s struggles and unique place in the world being dismissed just because a man can also put on a dress and try and school us on make up. You don’t have my biology, and no amount of highlighter and Spanx is going to change that. A pair of earrings and a kitten heel does not make you a woman.

Totally. What really, really gets to me is the push that biological sex isn’t real. Of course it is! The whole purpose of any species is to continue its existence and that’s exactly why male and female exist. It’s such a fundamental scientific fact, but gender ideology denies reality and tries to push their lies on us. I think the majority deep down know it isn’t true, which is why there is no argument permitted and instead if challenged they hurl insults and threats because it’s all they’ve got. They are bullies. There is no rational behind it. However, some people are unbelievably stupid and if you told them the moon was made of green cheese, they’d believe it.
It’s the way though that this ideology is being forced and pressed onto us from all sides that’s so scary. Why are so many organisations and public bodies meekly accepting and bowing to something that clearly isn’t true? How have such a tiny group of people now forcing every single thing to be all about them? Can you imagine if everyone was suddenly being pushed to, say, go to church or convert to a different religion? There would be an outcry. Yet, tell people that male and female doesn’t exist in any biological basis and what’s in your head matters more and everyone just seems to accept it without question. To me, it’s as crazy as flat earthers but far more dangerous.
