Recent online training with a large blue organisation. In one slide, ‘trans’ colleague can use whatever single sex space they like if it aligns with their ‘gender identity’. On the final quiz, treating someone with dignity includes providing single sex accommodation. We know this hasn’t happened historically.

I’m confused. Does this mean patients are recognised as having a SEX, not GI but staff aren’t given that respect? Or does it mean patients can use the same loophole and say their GI matches a certain sex and then use that ward?! I don’t want to start stirring the pot at work but WTF. Even having ‘gender identity’ and sex in the same sentence is inaccurate and not evidence based. Check out the photo they’ve used to hammer the point home 🥲

You've hit on a really important point, which is that it’s noticeable that trans activists tend to talk about children in a very specific and unusual way. Specifically they always seem keen to ascribe children with greater agency, independence of thought and long term decision making capabilities than children actually have (as experts in pedagogy will tell you children especially prepubescent children have yet to develop these cognitive skills).

So you often hear trans activists saying things like “trans Children know what they are”, “let the child decide” or “parents of trans children should be led by their child’s wishes”.

These are all false and downright dangerous statements and clearly unworkable. We righty don’t let children lead on anything major because they’re kids and don’t know what they’re doing. So why do so any trans activists insist so strongly on the agency of the child? I believe it’s because it’s only a short easy step from that to claiming that children have sufficient agency to consent to sexual relationships.

Call me paranoid but I believe that may be the underlying motive for some individuals

With regard to both student s*icides, I think @The Wicked Lady makes a very valid point. University’s are woefully inadequate at supporting students who may be having a tough time. They need to be more clued-in to the sorts of struggles experienced by students who may lack a support network and check in on them more frequently. Many don’t have MH problems, but just have trouble fitting in or feel alienated by others. My son just started uni and hates going anywhere where there are crowds/loud music due to ASD. As a result, his flat mates have begun to exclude him when organising activities (even if they don’t involve the aforementioned). He is trying to put on a brave face but I can tell he feels sad. The SEND department are aware of his diagnoses (has sensory processing issues too) but have never made any contact with him since he started.

I struggled with the lack of privacy in halls, and the absolute obsession with drinking. I grew up semi-feral in the countryside, where there wasn't much to do apart from experimenting with booze and fags, starting small fires and making prank calls from public phone boxes. If you were lucky, you passed your driving test early and could go to other places, or you grew up on or close to a farm where there was a "field car" that you could spend time driving badly in circles around a pony paddock. The girls I had to share with were all very sheltered and found alcohol a massive novelty. The dominant personality among the boys at the other end of the hall eventually had enough of me trying to tag along with them and told me to go away. Eventually I found friends I had things in common with, but the first year was hell. I could have been sucked into genderwang very easily, had it been a major thing.

Genderwang has inflitrated autism-related orgs and this is significant. They are now positioning concern about autistic young people being pushed into making major decisions as "trying to deny healthcare to autistic teens." It's insidious.

They‘re absolutely obsessed with ”getting to them young” and it’s so bloody sinister. Why does a three year old need to be questioning their gender? It’s like recruitment into one of those sinister cults. Why do they have to be have to be actively hunting to covert young children to question their gender? They’re children, they’ve little life experience and anything remotely sexual should have zero place in their lives. Every one of these people, male or female should have their hard drives checked. I used to work in this area and any student support service (mental health, disability, campus safety….) are all costs to the Uni so they pay lip service to it and most do the absolute minimum that they need to to be ok in the league tables and nothing more. In fact the organisational superstructure of the trans movement is practiced in using gaslighting language to hide what they’re doing from ordinary voters who otherwise would have stopped them way before now:

Gender euphoria = sexual arousal
Puberty blockers = permanent growth stunting hormones
Top surgery = radical mastectomy
Bottom surgery = genital mutilation
Feel validated = allowed to illegitimately enter all the private spaces I desire
Chestfeeding = gaining erotic excitement from having an infant suck my nipples
We just need to pee! = I just want to get turned on by your fear as I expose myself to you
Misgendering = inability to control another persons speech and thoughts
Trans genocide = not getting pandered to by the legal system and civic society, waaaah!

I‘d add transphobes/TERFs/ evil bigots =People, predominantly women who do not accept the delusions of the TRA and refuse to submit to having their speech and behaviour compelled.

What do police actually do nowadays apart from harass people for tweeting things? What do GP's do now? Ailments have all been outsourced. Whenever my relative goes for his check ups the waiting room is empty. I thought, maybe wrongly, but I thought services evolved and everything became improved and better for everyone. Now I'm old enough to look back, I can see that it's gone the opposite way. No more dentists for everyone, no more DR appointments the next day. No more police to help you with your stolen possessions. We've peaked

I love Barry. I've been impressed by his previous defence of women and their right to single-sex spaces.

He's not stupid, either - he'll bide his time, and if he does say or do anything, it will be for maximum impact. If he doesn't, it won't be because he's been scared into silence - it will be because he wants to stay as long as possible so that THEN he will have maximum impact when he speaks out. He's never been afraid to make his feelings known, and I admire him for that.

You can't cancel courage - JKR, Glinner, Maya, and many others can attest to that.
