Anyone who lives and works in a big city with a diverse population could have seen the issues with these census questions. We know that the language used by the trans lobby is opaque at the best of times, even native English speakers have trouble deciphering the terms for trans-identified individuals, is a trans man a biological man, or is it a woman? It's not really a stretch to assume that the confusion is deliberate. Still, it's bad news for the hundreds of trans folx all currently living their best lives in Tower Hamlets. An actual genocide! 🙄

Is anyone else listening to the Heretics interview with Peter Tatchell? What a cheesy scumbag, the hero in his own mind

Australian Labour
I signed a petition regarding this just yesterday, along with hundreds of other Australian women from an online group. It won't do any good but we all left a message explaining why it was damaging to women. Real women, not pretend ones.

'Self ID in a grape Crisis Centre is reckless and cruel.'
This was repeatedly said to these bumheads yet they still went steamrolling in like it's their right to be there. Unbelievable.

Set up a centre for trans people, I'm sure there'd be funding readily available in the current climate.

I noticed it last night, but I was about to go to bed so decided to save it for today.

I can't remember who recommended "Julie in Genderland", but I listened to a couple of these yesterday - excellent podcast. Absolutely heartbreaking.

They ought to show some backbone and offer the CEO post to Roz Adams. After all, her actions saved them from an even worse situation than the one they currently find themselves in. It was only a matter of time.

Hope the door hits you squarely in the a on the way out, Mridul 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻

The BBC’s take on this:

Hopefully this will prompt a serious reappraisal of where lines are drawn as regards gender ideology/self-ID and the rights and dignity of biological women, rather than being brushed aside as an unfortunate aberration. I don’t hold out much hope, though.

Hansen is a dreadful person. Long history of racism etc. So it’s disappointing she’s the one spearheading that petition! It’s really sad when (most of) the mainstream politicians in the major parties won’t stand up for things like this. Though there is a Tasmanian senator in the Liberal party who does great advocacy for this stuff.

That's really good news! I think it would be worthwhile checking with some of the organisations that the other Tattlers mentioned. A quick google has revealed there is a whole industry out there supplying books to Primary Schools under the heading of Diversity and Inclusion. Some seem perfectly appropriate and reasonable, but 'gender' keeps being mentioned. Key Stage 2 seems to be the time and it doesn't hurt to be prepared.
A word of warning to the Head, Peter Tatchell says that he was always being sent books as well and that's how he 'accidentally' ended up reviewing that notorious book...
Your Head needs to check what's in his library.
Well done to you for taking up the gauntlet!
I’ve actually had more messages from parents this morning who have gone into the school to complain that these books are in school without parents knowing and to advise they don’t want their children reading them. The school have apparently confirmed that the book in question will not be going back into the classroom 🙌 I’ve also emailed the head setting out exactly what I said on the phone and asked him to confirm in writing that my daughter will not be exposed to this again whilst in his care…I’m sure he hates me now 😂

Good on you. It's never just you, it just takes one person to speak up to get the ball rolling on it all.

I dare you to become a parent governor :devilish:
I remember the role was always described as being 'a critical friend of the school'. You could put that in your application and say you have a proven track record. That'll keep him on his toes! :ROFLMAO:
Alternatively, volunteering to listen to the children read would be a chance to monitor which books they have and being on the Parent's Association is a great source of inside information.
You are in control of the situation now!
