I’ve got quite behind on this thread but was just coming to see if anyone had posted about this. It seems like EM is going on a crusade against trans ideology and the harm it does to children. I know it’s been mentioned recently that he appeared to be going this way and here he confirms that. It’s taking off all over twitter/X. I’m here for it

Like it or not, as women it has been ingrained into our subconsciousness that we are ‘lesser’ than men. Even if you’ve had the most intellectually feminist upbringing, the way society is set up, the way men behave, the fact that they are stronger, the way their louder voices dominate, the emphasis on #be kind…

I am consciously aware of all those things, yet if a guy is walking towards me on the pavement, I still instinctively move out of the way, thus confirming his dominance. The times I have said to myself, ‘no, why should I move?’ and held the line, the blokes just don’t move over and will almost walk into you. Those that do eventually sidestep, you can hear them muttering under their breath or see them give you a dirty look. It’s so different with women, with both parties usually adjusting their trajectory way before hand.

I get so angry when people say Women should boycott. No we fucking shouldn't. These Women have dedicated their lives for this moment. The sports authorities should be protecting the integrity of their sport. They are failing us and the only way they can be held to account is for their failings to be shown on one of the biggest sporting stages in the world.
Women have stood aside for Men since time began, it needs to stop.

Women and girls have protested until they are blue in the face - and got precisely nowhere. It seems that our voices are so high that only bats and dogs can hear us.

We need the sports bodies to stand up for women athletes - and not just at elite level. From the very first sports day in primary school, the playing field needs to be levelled out. MEN should NOT be taking women's trophies and scholarships. They should NOT be invading the privacy of changing rooms and showers. Women don't want it, but have been bullied, blackmailed and coerced into accepting it.

And not only should the sports bodies be protecting women - so should men. Male athletes at elite level should speak out about this. Never mind telling women "You have to take part or we'll make sure you get cancelled - and we don't care if you get injured or even killed; we don't care if you are being subjected to what is effectively a sexual assault every time you go into the changing room; we don't care that you are at a disadvantage biologically and physiologically. These terribly vulnerable stunning and brave mediocre male athletes who wouldn't have a hope in hell of winning a medal are much more important than you are, because 'MAN' !"

None of this is about that old chestnut (cue sobbing TW "athlete") "We just want to take part in the sport we love" - if that was the reason they'd compete in their SEX class, or in the OPEN categories that some sports have tried to introduce (and which have been dismal failures because TW don't want them .) This is about WINNING. It is about fetishism and misogyny. It is about bullying women into doing what they (men) want. This is about publicly beating and humiliating women.

I also think that male athletes should refuse to take part in any competition, or under any sports authority that won't protect female ones. It is only when the men kick off about the unfairness of it that anything will be done. Advertisers should refuse to sponsor the sports. It shouldn't be like this, but it is.

Otherwise by the next Olympics there likely won't be any women competing. It will be men's competitions, and mediocre men's competitions.

How many people are going to watch that?

How much money is going to get invested into the sports bodies to promote rubbish male athletes that nobody wants to see?

But the transmovement will be happy. If they can't get a medal, at least they've stopped women from succeeding.

I've always thought it's the result of women being conditioned to play nice.

I will be honest, when I found this thread I was taken aback at how blunt and direct some of the posts were. Not because I was offended, but because I was so used to the handmaiden attitudes.

I think women care more deeply about how we’re perceived by others. Men care a lot less. I think it’s because male social rules are different and men don’t freeze each other out if they disagree on a hot topic.

It took me a while to be comfortable with calling TW “he”, even online (I think this is because in my pre-Tattle days, there was only Mumsnet, and back then they’d delete and ultimately ban you for correctly sexing a TW), but I don’t GAF anymore. I think it’s important to help other people undo the years of social conditioning, just by modelling the fact the emperor is naked.

@Jasminexx02 I remember the first time I ever made a terfy comment, probably in the Celeb Gossip thread, and actually feeling upset by all the angry and sick emojis. It’s hurtful to have people pile on you like that.

But as noticed over the years that the angry and sick emojis get fewer and fewer, and the likes and hearts get bigger. If that isn’t a sign that the tide is turning, I don’t know what is.

I just avoid the family blogger thread like the plague - you know the one with the little camp boy who got transed really young, and is going to be destroyed like Jazz Jennings? I cannot STAND seeing all these women slag off the parents, but still call this little boy she/her

I think my view is the same as everyone else on this thread - live and let live - dress how you want - call yourself what you want - do want you want in the privacy of your own home.

BUT - AND THIS IS THE BUT - trans women are not women - they're trans women. Trans men are not men - they're trans men. Non binary is made up purely for people who feel the need to feel 'special'. And to illustrate this - look at their poster 'person' Sam Smith.

On twitter a couple of weeks ago there was discussion about toilets - how all toilets should have urinals - to cover all genders. Plus it's quicker for guys to use urinals rather than occupying a cubical.

The gender nuts are giving "this is the way forward - truly inclusive toilets" then one of them pipes up - I really don't want to see guys peeing so we should have separate toilets with urinals for men to use.

I wanted to fecking SCREAM!!! So basically men still their their dedicated facilities - it's just women who need to share.

And don't get me started on how wording for female cancers has changed but Postate cancer remains 1 in 8 MEN.

It does genuinely feel like women are being erased. And the handmaidens are helping them.

Thank God for JK Rowling who provides some sanity in these crazy times.

Just my opinion, but I usually reserve the term AGP for the older generation who are way past puberty and past the point of 'exploring' their gender. I think a teenager who clearly had other issues going on is confused. I also think at that age, it would be extremely difficult for a parent to navigate a teen away from it - they'd want to learn from their own experience, not from cautionary words.

Also, when Brianna's mum first launched this charity it was presented strongly in terms of the killers having spent too much time online on the dark web - if there's now an acknowledgement that online communities hadn't been helpful for Brianna either that's a huge shift. I think she's been through the worst experience possible for any parent and has come through it with astonishing grace and compassion.

It’s the fawn response isn’t it. We used to get told about fight or flight response to predators and then with a bit more thought freeze and fawn were added. It made more sense when women who were victims of SA were always asked why didn’t you fight or run when it was given out those were the two main adrenaline trauma responses. Some women freeze and cannot move, some appease the predator, or fawn, and remain docile to try and get a change to escape or at least not to be killed.

The appeasing for the TRAs is both a response to a predator to make sure they are not attacked (why women don’t challenge men in bathrooms often) and a way of signalling to other women that they should also not be attacked for wrong think and tossed out of a place to which they feel an attachment, whether that’s a Facebook group or friendship group, or political party. And so it intensifies as it goes on.

I believe that for many people, both women and men, it won't resonate with them until it impacts them. For example their young daughter or granddaughter having to share facilities with grown men in wigs, dresses and bad makeup. Ugh.

Except for visually impaired and blind people whose actual physical safety has now directly been put at risk as a result.
