I had one 17 years ago, I also had to travel to London, it was paid for by the NHS though, at a BPAS clinic in Streatham.

I love what Mary Kate Delvey is doing on X right now. She’s a terf, and does the listen to trans people videos where she basically just reads all the disgusting things trans people say. So she’s now doing a bit and pretending that she now identifies as a trans woman. It is brilliant. She is turning all their rhetoric against them and it perfectly shows how deranged their logic is.

I had a quick look at Mary Kate Delvey on Twitter, it took a second to get my head around what she was saying but the trans don't like it. I saw one post saying a bio woman can identify as a man who in turn identifies as a woman. The trans say a bio woman cannot be trans because that is their label, yet in the comments lots of people posting clips of people saying trans can be whatever they want and it's all valid, we have to believe it. So it's ok for them to insist that we believe they are whomever they want to be but not other people. They are really getting in a tizzy over it all lol.

I’m a woman. I wonder what would happen if I ‘came out’ out as trans woman, pretending to have transitioned years ago. Would the masses feel they had to go along with it and congratulate me for ‘speaking my truth’ or would they say ‘fuck off petitpois we know you’re a real woman’?

I loved Dr Who as a little kid in the late 1980's with Sylvester McCoy and Sophie Aldred . Such a shame it's turned into a box ticking exercise

Just make sure you are actively involved, all the PTNs, etc - and regularly write a letter, going over & above the Head ( not email) to the Board querying certain matters and asking for a posted reply...... that way, you'll know if anything amiss crops up , in order to watch over your child's education xxx

I watched some of it, but RTD has been given such a big budget, he’s going all out to completely ruin it. What’s with the big singing and dancing routine at the end? Feels like a completely different show to what it used to be. And yes, the ‘they/them’ pronouns tipped in right at the beginning
The Metro’s take on the Dr Who re-boot

ETA although that article is mostly a load of balls, it does make one salient point:
“The upcoming season only features one episode from female screenwriters and none from writers of colour. There is also yet to be a modern-era showrunner who isn’t a white man.” So RTD is just perpetuating the status quo then, for all his guff. What a surprise…

Quality of writing and performance takes a nosedive the minute "wokery" enters doesn't it? Everything becomes so focussed on the "message" there is no storyline, no humour, no drama, and the dialogue might as well be in Klingon.

In the Good Old Days, writers and actors had enough talent to tell a story and convey a message.

Of course, in those days the message was based in fact and made sense, so it was possible to write something meaningful.

You could come out and identify as a trans woman so you get the extra protection they are given from transphobia compared to misogyny

Is anyone watching Eurovision? The winner, Nemo, is non-binary and goes by they/them pronouns according to Wikipedia, yet Graham Norton has misgendered him multiple times as ‘he’. How very rude of him, particularly as an ally .

So has Marty Whelan. Bambi from Ireland in non binary too apparently and I have been "corrected" already for misgendering her if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck.... even referring to herself as a "witch" which when last I checked was a term for women

Bambi with the really crap song and stripped off to revel a trans coloured bikini? Not interested in this bollocks, same with Switzerland waving the NB flag - just sing and stop acting like uni kids in the common room.

Sorry, thread has moved on but as others have said, what your friend and her daughter have told you is incorrect. You can obtain a TOP until 24 weeks here in the UK. You may have to travel and you may have to pay some costs and there may be limited options as to how you can have the procedure but 16 weeks is not too late in the day at all. I wouldn’t normally correct anyone but on this I think it’s important to be clear in case anyone is reading in a vulnerable situation.

I didn't realise that being "non-binary" meant dressing up like a little girl
