Thank you! It means so much to have someone who understands where I'm coming from! They didn’t answer your question because they couldn’t. You stated a fact. They just regurgitated the usual bigot/transphobe response to shut you down. I bet many other people actually agreed with you. But too scared of the backlash to speak up.
the “emotional labour to educate you”
I’m sure they throw out insults and name calling because there is no logical argument that they can make. There is no logic behind gender ideology and when anyone challenges it, they come out “educate yourself” and name calling because it’s all they can do. They bully people into silence rather than debate becauseThey didn’t answer your question because they couldn’t. You stated a fact. Very slowly, yes. I’ve heard people speak out IRL since the Hate Crime bill was launched here in Scotland too. People have said to me, ridiculous, a waste of police time, and often as not then add, a comment about “all this trans nonsense”. I don’t think most people do believe it, and if something keeps getting pushed down your throat, people get sick of itQuestion for the group: do you think the tide is turning? I was hopeful after CASS was released and maybe it is happening but it feels like it’s at a glacial pace. Maybe I’m just tired but I wish it was happening faster. I guess because of all the power players being so invested in making gender ideology work that they’re fighting so hard to avoid change. Honestly, I am longing for the days where we look back at this and shake our heads in disbelief.
Exactly. You're not Christophobic if you don't believe in God or Islamophobic if you're not a Muslim. You just have a different belief system. We don't hate trans people. We just don't believe what they believe.Transphobia is a nonsense term that invested groups and people have endeavoured to have treated like homophobia and racism. However, those are actions and prejudices against who a person is, where as ‘transphobia’ is objection to the fiction a person is trying to have everyone else agree with. It has no power over me, I don’t care if you call me that.
I will not participate in their delusion. They have no right to make me believe in their cult.
It’s strange when society in the UK is less religious and more secular, that people are so forceful about this ideology. I’m an atheist and I’ve never been abused, bullied or called names for not being religious and nor would I expect to be. I’d also describe myself as a “gender atheist” as I not only think gender ideology is ridiculous, non scientific, misogynistic dangerous nonsense, but I also loathe the concept of outdated gender stereotypes and honestly think we should have moved on past them long before now. It’s going backwards!Exactly. You're not Christophobic if you don't believe in God or Islamophobic if you're not a Muslim. You just have a different belief system. We don't hate trans people. We just don't believe what they believe.
I'm sorry you lost a place you felt at home, it's not fair to have kicked you out, but they couldn't allow you to bring your good sense and logic to the debate. You've got a new group here, talk to us instead about those thingsI'm a decent person* and have never once tried to have an argument on said group

What a condescending twat! How can they have the nerve to suggested that you've been 'educated'?!I went to edit my post but think its too late now so can only quote.
Anyway, my post was quite light hearted but I was actually quite upset as I've been part of the group for 4 years and found it quite useful to be part and also enjoyed it!
I messged the admin afterwards and asked to confirm if the reason I had been banned was because I did not like the term cis.
They messaged back saying [attached]
What i don't understand is, they did not answer my question on what exactly did I say that was transphobic? I literally said I did not like the term cis!
And when they say people commented 'emotional' comments. I don't recall it. But also if they did, why is their opinion more valid than mine?? Why wouldn't they let me have a debate? I'm a decent person* and have never once tried to have an argument on said group

Only they are allowed to decide what language everyone uses. If you disagree, even if it’s just about the language you use to describe yourself, you’re transphobic. They didn’t answer your question because they couldn’t. You stated a fact. Brothers likes to travel..."has tried unsuccessfully to be selected for other seats including Liverpool West Derby and most recently, Chester..."Our local Labour candidates have been announced. We have in the running…Emily Brothers a blind transgender lesbian. They have tried and failed in other areas but they won’t give up! Our council is known as a circus so it will be interesting to see how many votes this clown gets.
*She is a blind transgender lesbian who, according to Wikipedia, had sex reassignment surgery in Thailand in 2008. She campaigns on LGBT+ and disability issues. She stood for parliament in 2019 for Sutton and Cheam in London and has tried unsuccessfully to be selected for other seats including Liverpool West Derby and most recently, Chester for the by-election which took place in December 2022. She is divorced with two children.
Grim. I have no one to vote for.
Labour candidates chosen centrally
Island Labour has had candidates for the forthcoming general election chosen by the national party. Both Isle of Wight West and East seats were presented with ‘one person lists’ so, subject to final confirmation by theiwobserver.co.uk
I’m an animal lover and in the past reported animal cruelty on FB, but apparently it doesn’t breach community standard, yet heaven forbid you state biological facts about men not being women. You are better off without the brain washed moronic rainbow sheep in your life.
You could always start a rival group but Facebook is captured by ideological arseholes.
I hate Facebook so much that I was thinking of starting a campaign on there by being deliberately offensive to see how long it takes to be permanently banned from the whole site
I just don't know if I can be bothered at the moment
Remember these are the people you're up against

Gosh this gave me the spooks. I went to university about 15 years ago and due to my disability had to see a disability liaison officer, who was a blind man. After coming back in second year, he was now apparently a woman with the AGP wig and tights and everything. I remember feeling distinctly uncomfortable (I hadn't yet peaked) having to discuss my personal health issues with someone so performative, there was something about how he couldn't see what he was making everyone else see that just creeped me out massively. Our local Labour candidates have been announced. We have in the running…Emily Brothers a blind transgender lesbian. They have tried and failed in other areas but they won’t give up! That's the Emily I remember 'me, me, me'. At the time I was a part of a breastfeeding support group and that's all he wanted to talk about. Some if the other BF group members were also a part of the Labour party and the two circles overlapped. Whenever the group members would mention something about babies or motherhood Emily would immediately centre himself in the discussion, and I mean centre himself. If the handmaiden didn't sit round him and let him talk about 'being a mother' then he'd cry and everyone would gather round him. It was creepy.Emily Brothers, Labour’s first transgender candidate: ‘I walked into the sea. Something brought me back’
Decca Aitkenhead: Emily Brothers has been blind since childhood, and recently revealed that she is transgender. And while some of the reaction has been hard to take, she’s survived much worsewww.theguardian.com
I found this 2015 article on Emily Brothers. He sounds exactly like the entitled, angry, narcissistic man all TIMs are. His poor children were only 12 and 10 when they were told their dad was a woman and he left the London home and moved to the IOW. Poor kids.
He also thinks he passes because nobody says anything to him.
