This is Labour’s candidate for Witney. I have no words at this point. I’ve never voted Tory, but I’d make an exception if I lived in Witney.

Yes!!!!! a good portion of the general public are thick as mince and have no idea what a trans woman actually is let alone how identifying sex works. They think being trans is like turning a bungalow into a house by adding another layer when it's actually turning a bungalow into a forest - impossible.

Random analogy but you get me....

So many don't care about gender ideology because it doesn't affect them. They are the ones likely to say 'what does it matter if a trans woman uses the ladies loo?' They think gender critical feminists are making a fuss about nothing.

I've met loads of people like this and most of them have never met a trans person.

This is like the 'be kind' brigade saying 'I don't have any problem using preferred pronouns' because they don't see that acquiescence to this promotes the idea that you are on board with gender ideology.

Then there's the people who don't question the demands for 'trans rights'. They buy into an idea that trans people are oppressed without ever wondering what rights they are demanding 🙄 and are seemingly unaware that everyone has the same rights.

Most people don't see below the surface which is how we've ended up in this nightmare.

Exactly.
For many, they think they are being tolerant and open minded, not to mention the most overused word in recent years KIND.

Until it slaps them in the face, eg realising that their young/ teenage daughter is expected to share toilet or changing room facilities with grown men. That's when the light will dawn for some of the deluded. Then and only then, they might wake up to reality.

I'm so glad I chose to dive into this thread 2 years ago. One of my favourite artist/singers transitioned about 15 years ago, I never had a problem with that and still don't.
I was very much pro-trans rights until my eyes were opened to what was going on under the surface, the insidious erosion of women's rights and access to single sex spaces being the prime reason.
I don't know where I'm going with this (distracted by cats) but I want to thank you all for doing what you do to keep exposing the bull.

As a famous Australian once said "I love youse all."

Oof that hurt to type 'youse'

It certainly did for friends of ours, who quickly changed their tune afterwards...... thankfully...

FFS he's not even attempting to look feminine, he's literally taking the piss in my opinion.

There was some internet drama with the American right wing this weekend, over a tradcon influencer making fun of another religious conservative woman who is apparently “a man” because she has a southern accent and does a lot of hunting/fishing. (My husband’s family are from the Southern USA and they had strong opinions about this lol!) From what I could see there were a lot of people defending her but also a lot of “any woman who does X/looks like Y is a man.” I won’t play the game of “should we or shouldn’t we ally with otherwise anti-woman conservatives because they at least recognise what a woman is …” but it seems some of them are little different to the TRAs in terms of believing that looks/interests etc are what makes a woman …

Finally watched the Sarah Everard documentary. The stats of violence and sexual assault/attempted sexual assaults against murder is horrifying- epidemic scales.

yet tell me how trans are the MOST oppressed and vulnerable and self ID TIMS should be allowed in our safe spaces

If puppies hound be seperated from their mother until 8 weeks (preferably 12) why do we rip babies away from birth mothers (literally if the “parents” insist on skin to skin with the adoptive parents) the first few seconds after birth - it’s Barbaric

I think the current head of the Met is changing their stance, he hardly had any choice. Whereas before it was pushed aside and under the carpet, by highlighting VAWG as needing an approach akin to the same as with terrorism he's almost forcing the government's hand for more funding.

Not sure if this has been posted but it's grim, he apparently "was forced" to carry his own luggage while his "dilator" was still inside him...🤢
At death's door but able to take selfies. The comments on the article are showing no sympathy either, most are complaining that he's wasted NHS time and money by not staying in Turkey until fully healed. He has a wife and kids as well, it's them I feel for.

entitled twit. He’s blaming all the airports for not providing assistance with his bags as the cause. The assistance that is actually for disabled passengers needing help to travel. It’s not for men with a fetish for their own man-made ‘tina’. He can duck off.

I was pleased to see he was getting no sympathy in the comments. I get that these men have to dilate, makes me feel sick just typing it, but travelling with something shoved up his mangina sounds like asking for trouble. And the NHS should not be wasted on tit like this.
I cannot understand why his wife would stay with him, this totally changes the whole relationship...I just don't get it.

Exactly, just because he thinks he's a woman now (which he isn't) doesn't mean that men are just waiting around to help him with his luggage...head.

I'm so disappointed in Lady Gaga for this.
How can she be so stupid, to not see Dylan Mulvaney for what he is - the worst kind of caricature of women.
