I have been following a page on Instagram for a while that shares a lot of TRA crap, detrans stuff and posts similar to we share on here.

It has been shut down for violating guidelines on child exploitation, abuse or nudity. Tells you everything you need to know about the trans rights movement, it's exploitation and abuse.

So my new job is within the employability sector, working with people who need to find work. Today i was in a meeting with my line manager when i immediately clocked this bloke walking into the office with knee high heeled boots on (the area is thick with ice, so completely inappropriate footwear). I watched him out of the corner of my eye whilst he had his appointment with my colleague, he had a really deep male voice but was clearly trying to appear female (wasn’t working). Then after he left, as soon as that door shut, my manager said how we have to ask participants their gender even if it seems obvious ‘because that man there isn’t a she or a he’ and had a silent chuckle to myself since she still referred to him as male and clearly found it as ridiculous as we would. She then said my other colleague had had a nightmare when he was assigned to her with trying to keep up with his pronouns so he’s clearly been on the system for a while, no wonder he’s not getting employed…

It's the combination of 'panties' being a porn-influenced word and also sounding so childish that I find repulsive.
It's just the word they use here in the US. I'm Australian, and it utterly repulses me. I can't bring myself to say it aloud. When I've broached this with American women, though, they just look confused and surprised and ask me what I call them instead

Yeah that’s my point, it’s not weird in the US but it’s not used at all in the UK/aus. Which begs the question where these men are getting it from

The correlation between hardcore porn and violence for women is shocking. I’m heterosexual, but I’d be prepared to wager gay men don’t hurt each other in that manner (I know there’s often the submissive in the relationship and BDSM/other play happens, but often not to the point of leaving marks etc). Lesbians as well I doubt choke each other aggressively, for example. It’s disturbing and all driven by men

WHAT! My American husband says double fisting means carrying two drinks at the same time. Apparently it's a common saying in the US. I always thought it sounded weird wtf

Yep, here it means drinking two drinks at the same time

Surely it can't be an expression that originated in the UK? I'm sure those other meanings are maybe tongue in cheek

Can anyone recommend a book about menopause written by a woman who knows the difference between a woman and a pervert in a dress? I really don’t fancy reading about menopause and being inclusive of men….

ETA the idea of tiptoeing around men’s feelings while dealing with something that really blows up a woman’s life makes me so mad!

I'm still not even 35 yet, but still remember the good old days when none of this would have been tolerated in schools before.

Why is the girl allowed to dress up like a cat?

Can you imagine a trans woman rocking up to the yard. I’m picturing cheap see through white breeches, some sort of blingy pink base layer etc. while the rest of us look homeless
