I’ve mentioned this before but I’m in a FB ‘style’ group for over 40s but I’ve muted it so I don’t see the posts. I occasionally look. They have a raging AGP who has just posted a video of himself before make up etc… he looks like a nasty piece of tit but there are over 400 comments from women applauding ‘her’ beauty. I know for a fact that those women would feel completely intimidated if he walked by them at night. Why do they do this?!
It's called "fawning". It's a trauma response.

I saw similar in a style group I was in a couple of years ago. The males always got far more appreciation and love (despite looking ridiculous) than any woman posting. Even if the woman talked about poor mental health or trying to find her style again post partum. Not as heart warming as a man in a dress, apparently.

It looks terrible and I can't figure out whether it will be good or bad for women? The trailer shows men having the great idea to win all the sports by competing as women but it also shows them squashing the opposite team physically.
No doubt someone will be upset by it, and I think that's what the producers are going for, tbh. A silly film to annoy Terves and TRAs.

I’m in a FB group for a certain brand of dresses.I’ve muted it because most of the posters look pretty terrible and the dresses aren’t really my thing (I only own PJ’s made my that company) and there’s one prominent poster who is clearly an AGP and gets far more likes than any of the women, despite looking ridiculous. He’s certainly not the only AGP in the group, but definitely the one that posts most frequently. He actually gives me the creeps, with his weird poses, knowing smirk and strange eye make up. Yet, he seems to get more likes and hearts than anyone.

Funny isn't it the way a lot of women fawn over AGPs? I've done it myself towards a friend of my husband (who I've mentioned on here previously) before The Great Enlightenment. It's like they fall over themselves to show these men that they're so accepting of them as women - is fool pandering hard wired? As like a safety measure, to avoid assault? Funny these same women are often very keen on pulling down actual women (I never did that)
I think it must be hard wired for many, but also i think there is a lot of herd mentality as well, not wanting to be seen as the dissenter in the sea of sheep.

Got this from Twitter. The accuracy is 👌

The one on the bottom right looks like a bloke I know :ROFLMAO: (Facially). I did a double-take!

I must have been born a b*tch because I just can’t give false compliments. I know it seems rude but if someone compliments me but I don’t feel the same about them I find myself just saying thanks :ROFLMAO: Like if someone says oh that’s a nice dress, I say thanks and then just stand there looking awkward as they wait for a return one. I definitely would never post on a group that Barry in a wig from the party shop and clothes from a charity shop looking like Hyacinth Bucket (Boooo-kayyyyyyy darling), looks amazing.

Oh, and a new starter in my team asked me where to find the email signature template (I’m on the same grade, so i’m not responsible for them they just sit next to me). We did have a corporate template somewhere on our intranet but it was hard to find so i just said I’ll email you and you can pinch my signature and tweak it for your name etc. Mine does NOT have pronouns but he will soon see that most of the team do, so it will be interesting as to whether he adds them or directly copies my signature. He hasn’t emailed me back yet as he’s been training this week.

I'm in a couple of vintage style groups and have noticed the same thing happening. Women get 30 likes, 'transwomen' get hundreds. I put that in quotes because for about 20 years I have inhabited spaces online where cross dressing men muscled in and pushed women aside. Whilst previously they called themselves transvestites, tv, cross dressers, cd etc they now call themselves trans. It's given their hobby legitimacy. These are definitely men who identify as men, who present as men in their lives, but get off on cross dressing. They never cross dress in jeans, a white shirt and heels ala Victoria Beckham; it's always leather mini skirt, stockings tops showing and a low cut top. You can spot them a mile off. So as soon as I see similar in those groups I know it's a man wanting validation. They have done more damage to trans people than anyone. But they get the most applause.

Oh yes, the purple-haired organ player 🙄. They just LOVE him in that group, don't they? Let's hope he never discovers his Tattle fan club! 😬🥴

I work in women's health and we see very, very few pronouns in our email signatures. The chief exec, the MH team and, interestingly, the team who work with teenage parents all use pronouns. The rest of us don't give this nonsense the time of day. My email signature is in the terf suffragette colours, if you know, you know! 💜💚🤍

Those fawners also seem to hate good looking women, slim women and confident women. The number of times someone clearly wearing a hideously unflattering outfit that displays all their flaws us told they look stunning and gorgeous is unreal

It's all linked to #BeKind. Ultimately what can be more knowingly cruel than feeding someone a steady diet of lies and insincere praise disguised as kindness and encouragement?

You tell your tone death best friend that she has a lovely voice. She then chooses to audition for a role in a musical and is humiliated with the sudden realisation that she can't sing. Does she actually learn anything? Not really because in order to #BeKind you then tell them that the casting director, who probably had years of successful experience in the field, actually knows nothing and she should continue to follow her dream. She then reaches 45 with dream unfulfilled and suddenly realises that kind people are full of tit.

Or you tell your friend, who is frankly built like a dump truck, that she has a perfect womanly figure and is an absolute ten. She then pours herself into a completely inappropriate dress, goes out on Saturday night, tries to flirt with the most handsome man in the club and is humiliated when he rejects her. Again does she learn? Well no not really, because you tell her that all men are guys and she was too good for him anyway. But who is the actual b here? The man who has no allegiance to her and tells her simple truth? Or the woman who's supposed to be her friend who had told her nothing but lies over an extended period?

Encouragement and kindness are good and noble concepts. But surely they have to be based on some level of constructive reality?

The expectation of women to accommodate and accept everyone is immense. I see it all the time, a woman expresses an opinion that goes against the consensus and she's either told to be kind (ie shut up) or she's told she's a witch.

There's a clip I've seen on Instagram where a woman goes through all the contradictory things expected on women; we're expected to accept men as the breadwinners and rely on them to care for us while also being independent, have our own money, don't be a golddigger and still pander to men, put their needs first and treat them like children.

I'm unashamedly not actively kind. I'm not unkind but I don't fawn or pander to anyone. Unsurprisingly I'm considered a hard nosed witch . My husband is exactly the same but is seen as strong and straight talking.
