My workplace sent out a post saying they're disgusted with the Tory party comments and know that all of us are too and let's show our support for our Trans "warriors".

I don't have the heart to tell them that not all of us are disgusted. And anyways, this is a place of business - why have work places become SO political in the last 5 years or so. I just want to go to work and do my job and not have to deal with made up noise.

At any rate, I was looking for news articles about the conference/this issue to read some discussion from the public (that's not activist or total hatred filled right wingers) and I noticed that every single news organisation has comments disabled for this...

Why not allow discussion? It feels like only a hard core activist voice is heard or someone who is moustache twirling villain against them

Sadly people seem to have completely lost the ability to discuss anything.
Or many never learnt to do it in the first place.
Discussion seems increasingly to mean shouting over everyone else and unleashing hatred and abuse on anyone who doesn’t sing from the same hymn sheet.
Even politicians and newsreaders are devoid of the ability to actually listen and consider another point of view from their own.
It’s all about playground style point scoring; it’s exhausting and depressing 🫤

Exactly, a guy in works often talks about his 'trans kid' and we're all supposed to smile kindly. More widely, attitudes are so pervasive it even affects your whole lifestyle - in meetings before it starts the only permissible topics of chit chat seem to be:

-your allotment
-tending to your sourdough starter
-your holiday where you explore and do not sit in a lounger in an all inclusive
-your veganism
-your cycling/walking holiday
-myths and legends
-going to museums and exhibitions

I'd love to see someone say they're looking forward to Wetherspoons curry night and need to go to B&M to pick up some bits.

Speaking personally, I don't give a duck about anything other than women not being in danger of a bunch of predators dressing up as women and exploiting loopholes. Trans rights, gender dysphoria - both have been overtaken by a bunch of militants. If you have a rooster, don't get in my spaces and I don't give a duck whether you're a genuine transsexual or taking the piss - the time has come to fight back and stop all this 'nuanced debate' bull spouted by the likes of Robin Ince and Stewart cunting Lee. There is no nuance with women's spaces being infiltrated by men.

They come over to "womanhood" and expect to maintain male privilege. Soz, but if you really want to be one of us, you've (unfortunately) got to get used to being considered a second / third / fourth class citizen.

Exactly. Time to stop beating around the bush as men don't understand hints. We want them out of our spaces and quick. They say what they want, so this is what we want and won't accept anything less. Suck it up men/trans whatever you are.

LOL what a boring bunch of virtue signallers 😄
I have a colleague who has a rainbow 🌈 signature along with her pronouns. They also discuss veganism, climate change, festivals and cycling holidays 😴

I'm not a fan of the tories for various reasons (let's start with Rishi's ridiculous plans to ban smoking 🙄 just duck off), however I'm not a fan of the Labour Party either due to their ridiculous ideas on gender.

Everyone seems to be fully indoctrinated where I work (particularly young people) and everybody spouts the same tit. What happened to people being individuals in society 😕 and being able to put forward alternative views? they've all turned into brain washed sheep. I guarantee all of them would bleat 'trans women are women' if the subject came up.

It's strange that the tories have lasted so long in power when NOBODY that you meet ever has anything good to say about them in public or admits voting for them. Who is secretly voting for them when only one opinion (the left) is ever acceptable in public 🤔 It's a conundrum.

Sooooo bored of people I follow on IG reposting all this virtue signalling tit about the evil Tories dumping on the poorest, most oppressed, most minuscule minority walking the streets today: trans people.

Isn’t it disingenuous to use 2021 census data as way to quantify the size of the trans community anyway? We all know the numbers of self-described trans people/teens is way WAY higher than recorded on census records, for starters. So the trans community is tiny when they want it to appear tiny, but huge and powerful when it suits them too? Can’t have it both ways guys…

Also, if the trans community was as tiny and put-upon as these posts say, would their demands be rewriting the rules of society and infiltrating public institutions to the extent is has already? I don’t think so 🙃

Well this got a little close to home today. My 20 yr old son has a good friend who’s a shy, sweet natured guy who was telling him he’d been chatting to a girl online (in the U.S  ) and they had developed feelings for each other. My son asked to see a picture and he said he hadn’t actually seen one. There was an anime profile pic instead of a photo (🚩) My son’s like, “this could be anyone. Are you sure it’s even a woman?”

Anyway, when he caught up with the guy today, his friend told him the person online said they’d got a confession and they were actually trans. The ‘girl’ hadn’t wanted to tell him because ‘she’ didn’t want him to be put off by ‘her’ having a pen. The friend is now full of angst because he knows it’s a bloke but now he has feelings for them. My son said, “well unless you’re gay / bi, it’s not ever going to go anywhere is it?” The boy said he didn’t think he is gay but is now confused. Anyway, the trans person is apparently pushing for them to meet up and suggested coming over here. It just sounds dodgy as hell.

A lot of red flags there. This boy needs to step away quickly 😒 not only is this a man, they could be any age. Not many young people have the means to travel across the world to meet someone they've chatted to online either!

What if it's a trans woman who's had bottom surgery?

I think the thing here is trans men can still have vaginas but look very much like men. Buck Angel is one who springs to mind and he's totally against the gender ideology balls he makes some great content on it from an actual trans perspective. Likewise, trans women can have penises, we don't necessarily know someone's genitalia. But should a trans man who looks like a man be allowed on a female ward? They are female but it is jarring to see the opposite sex (or someone who presents as such, and passes well) on a segregated ward. I'd be alarmed to see what looks like a man in a female ward, as much as you would be alarmed to see a trans woman in a female ward. I'm all for making trans a category on its own and segregated from both men and women in hospital wards if it increases how safe both women and trans people feel about being there.

I just don't think trans people as a whole should be targeted. I think people need to recognise that gender dysphoria is a legitimate mental illness (as much as they want to claim it isn't which is ludicrous IMO) and that it is not an ideology or should be promoted as such. Swap out transgender with any other minority and a lot of the things people say are incredibly offensive.
One of the two trans patients I have interacted with at work in a hospital (both negative) was a trans woman who had bottom surgery, he said sexually inappropriate comments to a fellow female nurse, I will not repeat them as it may make me identifiable but it was something I know a woman wouldn't say, ever. I know at the time this was brushed off by my colleague but when I thought about it later, what he said was completely and utterly inappropriate. Even when they've had the full surgery, they still act like males.

Exactly what I said. He could be a 50 year old bloke in a dress. My son is going to talk to him, but apparently they (the friend and the TiM) have spoken on the phone and although he was easily identifiable as a male, the friend seems to be reassured that his voice wasn’t as deep as his or my son’s😕.

Example of hate crime
This is the reason for the rise in reported trans hate crime, not actually crime, just people with hurt feels.
There’s a massive difference between reported crime and actual crime. From a group that had hysterically accused Sunak of “literal genocide”, it’s not much of a stretch to imagine what kind of trivial stuff is getting reported.

He doesn’t have feelings for this person, he has feelings for words on a screen! 😳

Presumably he’s now trying to convince himself that this person really is a viable relationship option, even though they live in the States, and are male?

Is this lad quite socially awkward/naive? In my day, Internet boyfriends and girlfriends (particularly those who lived thousands of miles apart) were favoured by young people who didn’t have the social or emotional maturity for a real relationship.

That's...potentially even worse, what if it's a teenage boy?

Yes, that’s a good point. S(he)’s supposed to be the same age.

Yes, that’s about the size of it. This lad is really intelligent so I hope he’ll come to his senses and realise it’s a no-go!

There’s an element of this as well, I’m sure.

That was so manipulative, not to disclose their actual sex 😞 I bet lots of people are getting catfished online.
