Again every word of this, dear Mouse. Every. Single. Word.
I am no conspiracy theorist, but there must be an agenda behind all this - seems to me it isn't organic growth, but something that's actively pushed. I could be wrong, obvs.
The poster was me.😁
You are not wrong. There is a lot of power and a HUGE amount of money behind this, and the prize is even more power and more money, which is why it got an apparently *sudden stranglehold and it is taking so long to fight it.

*I say "apparently" because there has had to have been a deep and broad foundation being secretly dug for this to be built on. If it had happened openly it would have been discredited in a heartbeat.

A female Labour councillor (in Brighton - where else?) has been put in her place and promised to ‘educate’ herself for daring to like a tweet which said that women were female and deserved protections. They are stamping all over us and it’s being allowed to happen. Women are being forbidden from speaking their minds.

“I apologise unreservedly for endorsing these social media posts which contain anti-trans sentiments.

“I recognise that they are offensive to the transgender community and I am deeply sorry for the hurt caused by this.

“I am committed to undergoing training to better understand the lived experiences of transgender people and with the aim of becoming a good trans ally.”

The leader of Brighton and Hove City Council, Bella Sankey, followed up with:

“I want to reassure the trans community that any expressions of anti-trans sentiment in any form will not be tolerated.

“Councillor Thomson has now, rightly, apologised unreservedly for her actions. I have also taken the decision to remove Cllr Thomson from her lead role on City Centre Renewal, while further investigation is carried out and subject to her completing training.

‘Completing training’. It’s so bleeping sinister. I see the councillor concerned has also deleted her X account.

ETA: Labour, it’s time you got your cesspit of a house in order.
Bloody hell, are we heading for the type of "re-education" camps that the Chinese government slings the Uyghur people into if they dare to try and live according to their own culture?? 🥶

With the push towards children it's very easy to see with some people think it's a paedophilia issue,

I thought I'd do the government a favour and fill out their Reproductive Health Survey to improve services for women and I'm met with this :ROFLMAO: "described as"

Problem is if the question was the Are you... TIMs would select female as they've mangled the language and can get their birth certs changed, it's a low bar but better than assigned as

Yeah Richard Ayoade is trending second on Twitter now and most comments are squinnying/whining about being gutted about his quote. These people are so thin-skinned.

I hope he doesn’t feel obliged to make some sort of apology or statement that he ‘stands with trans people’.

Quelle surprise….talk about predictable:

Thought this was interesting though:
“It is understood that the man is 'furious' with how Channel 4 treated him during his time on the programme and afterwards.”

Still like any other girl? What, a man with XY chromosome? duck off.
So as long as Ella feels validated, it doesn’t matter that the guy was used as collateral. Not sure I’m going to bother watching it now.
As a side note, that bikini top - just no.
The whole look is repulsive.

I'm surprised Jonathan Ross has been quoted on the book. I thought one of his daughters was trans and I'm sure he is close friends with Neil Gaiman who Glinner does not like - who is on the TRA side. Interesting.

EDIT: Oh! Apparently not. JR tweeted this in 2020.
“I struggle to understand the opinions of intelligent men I previously admired – Jon Ronson and Billy Bragg – that strike me as tragically ill-informed and depressingly self-aggrandising. I know you are paying a heavy price for this G, but I admire and applaud you.”

That's great.

Yeah JR has spoken out a few times. He and RA are pretty good friends I think. They’re also very close with David Mitchell and Victoria, neither of whom have spoken out but I always imagine to be GC, Robert Webb is of course.

Bliddy hell!

He's his own wet dream, isn't he?

And those bits! They're like two halves of a bowling ball stuck on his chest.

I agree wit @Funny_bunny - The whole look is repulsive.

Richard Ayoade’s brother in law is Lawrence Fox, he has not endorsed Fox in any of his twitter rampages. He is also very private and I listened to a random podcast with him and his wife Lydia and I got the impression they were people of faith.

Alexander Armstrong and Ben Miller both signed the JK Rowling defend petition.

It’s his quote on the front of Glinner’s book (you can see it upthread)
God almighty! Is that all? I'd seen that but there isn't anything at all offensive to anyone or anything in it, so I thought there must have been more. They're really, really pathetic, aren't they?

Of course, I'm not a member of the most vulnerable and discriminated against group of people int he history of the world, so what would I know . . .

I've never warmed to AA, but if he's on JKR's side, I will try to be less judgemental.

I'm not a fan of Ricky Gervais but, fair play, he did material on the absurdity of women with roosters and sailed away unscathed. I couldn't see him issuing an apology either.
