I’m sure I’ve read somewhere or watched on Glinner’s Mess that all the journalists are forced by their editors to use the pronouns the court demands. The only recent news piece which didn’t was right before Xmas, the trans murderer in New York who murdered his dad and sister. The New York post did put MAN in the headline, but if I recall, swapped to she in the rest of the piece.


It is good to read on here that so many women in Scotland are now GC. These horrific stories are changing minds, slowly, but there is so much law and legislation to roll back. It’s going to take years to get our spaces back.
The most important thing to do is to talk about it to people you don’t know, bring these stories up, ask people if it’s fair for women to be locked up with racists. The other point I always use is the sports angle, I find it’s an easy one, and people feel safer on that topic than something like transing children.

I was in town today, a man in his probably 70s was walking in the opposite direction to me. He was in a dress and had long grey hair. But when I turned to go into a shop which made me cross his path
He stopped dead infront of me.
Not that 'awkward sorry we both changed directions walking dance side step' but gave me a death stare and said "what?" I said "oh sorry I'm going into this shop" He looked at me with disgust and said "WHAT? WHAT?!! oh you're transphobic". "duck you witch"
I didn't reply to him.
But the aggressive , and confrontational way he spoke to me for literally doing nothing made me reaffirm my belief that some men no matter how they rebrand themselves are stil deep down angry, confrontational, misogynists.

It’s perfect for them isn’t it? They now have a ‘legitimate’ excuse even backed by leaders of this country to angrily shout at women in the street and you, the woman, are the one in the wrong.

Anyone hear bbc radio one news yesterday… ‘people who go through the menopause/people can no longer have babies’ etc etc. BBC news this morning… ‘urging men to get checked for prostate cancer…’ Why not just say people then? I’ll ring the GP and tell them I want my prostrate checked after being urged by the news. Oh wait?! They don’t use ‘people’ for men so we’re all clear what effects who. duck me. On another note I was on several SNP Twitter accounts and there where literally hundreds of negative posts about the march last night. You would actually struggle to find any positive posts supporting them.

Someone else I was talking to about this said that locking rapists up in women's prisons means that those who sanction it are essentially saying the women there deserve to be grape, I think there is much truth in that.

Yes. It is government mandated grape and abuse.

The fact that if these women, who are usually in prison for crimes of poverty, speak out about this they are written up and given extra time - must be one of the greatest abuses of male oppression of all time.

And it is oppression.

It really does feel like it's all a way for white privileged men to claim they are oppressed while simultaneously erasing the rights of women.

They wouldn't know how to handle it if they ever actually faced real oppression, it's all a game to them.

I was just speaking to my husband about this, and he made a good point about how TiM's say that they don't want to use men's toilets and changing rooms because they're scared. He said that if they're so worried about being attacked, then maybe they shouldn't dress in such an overtly feminine way? You know, like when actual women dress in "women's" clothes and then get grape, they're "asking for it"?

Why is it that we're expected to change our behaviour to keep us safe, but we also have to change our behaviour to keep men safe?

Where are all the mouthy TiFs shouting that ‘not all men have a prostate’?? How can no one see that it’s all these over entitled men that are driving trans protests. It’s so bleeping ridiculous.

(In a not related to that rant) even going back to the posters that apparently were ‘easily missed’, why is the press and those in power turning a blind eye to the threats that are there to see in plain daylight? What the duck is going on, honestly. Why is everyone so scared of this bunch of ‘poor, oppressed gentle souls’? When did a movement ever obtain their rights by making threats of decapitation?

When I say to anyone in real life about it they just roll their eyes and say it’s all daft, just ignore it, but look where that got women. I used to think people were tin hat wearers when they said we lived in Orwellian times, but we really are now when we’re expected to believe a hairy man is a woman.

At one time if a man shouted at you in the street and became aggressive you’d assume that if the authorities or passers by got involved that they’d feel supportive and protective of the woman, as a default really. But now all they’ve got to do is put on a dress and some lipstick - then they can shout and perhaps even get physical and all they’ve got to do is say the woman was ‘transphobic’ and they’ll get away with it, probably even be praised for their bravery. This is just so immeasurably ducked up I find it quite terrifying.

Sorry that this happened to you, I do think some of these men will go out looking for a confrontation with women (not with men of course!). I think at the heart of this movement is a deep hatred of women.

It is. The other day I was told I was cold and had no empathy.

I feel empathy for the women who couldn't own property or get a bank account without asking their husbands permission. I feel empathy for the women forced to bare child after child because their husband would wear a condom, I feel empathy for women who didn't have the vote, I feel empathy for every woman paid less than a male counterpart, I feel empathy for women overlooked for promotion just because she is a woman, I feel empathy for women in abusive relationships, I feel empathy for every woman who works a full time job, does all the child care, house chores and still puts a bleeping meal in front of her lazy a partner night after night (and then goes and tidies the kitchen too!), I feel empathy for every woman who has been made to feel uncomfortable by men cat calling or making jokes at our expense, I feel empathy for women who have been grape, particularly those whose rapist is never looked for by the police, I feel empathy for women who are being ignored. I feel empathy for the women raising children alone, with no support or money, I feel empathy for all the women in relationships where they feel lonely but can't leave. This list could be endless, I feel empathy alright, but only for women.

Do I feel sorry for a porn addicted bloke in a dress trying to look like a 1950's housewife? Nah.

Do I feel sorry for any bloke forcing this oppression on women? Nah.

I wonder how the SNPs ratings will be affected due to this? Personally I don't trust any polls so will see at the next elections.
It won't be just female ex SNP voters that will likely not vote for them but men also as they have daughters, sisters, mams, neices. The extra votes will be from trans and supporters and they are a small minority. If Sturgeon could legally campaign for minority votes to override majority ones she would, afterall that seems to be snp/greens ethos, minority rules.
