Of course, hot pink umbrella.
Oooh i’m half way through this. It’s quite good, imo.
*adds to reading list*.
I think the P olice are ticking the TRA box for PR purposes because the public lost faith in them over the years for institutional racism, homophobia, misogyny, corruption etc. The older population don’t trust, but now they have this opportunity to “show they have changed” and capture the goodwill of the Gen Z and millennial populations. However, imo, institutionally they are still racist, still misogynistic (and now they have the TRA ideology as a way to intimidate GC women in the name of stamping out ‘hate’. Punishment is the process, etc).
I’m sure there are still some legitimate police men and women out there who actually want to solve crimes, but institutionally, they are more about painting TRA flags on riot shields and posing with blue-hairs or Izzard. I do not trust the institution one bit. Not when
grape convictions are abysmal, not when pensioners being mugged without proper follow up/ convictions, not when antisocial behaviour gets ignored in communities despite 100s of complaints. Where is the old bobby on the beat? Nowhere, he’s too busy crying over someone being ‘misgendered’ on Twatter. As a woman, I do not trust them. My eyes have been truly opened because growing up I was Miss Goody Two Shoes and would have trusted authority without question
