RuPaul’s Drag Race has a lot to f-ing answer for

The idea that drag is just a bunch of wholesome cinnamon rolls having fun and being themselves, and it’s totally OK to bring little kids to drag shows and teach them about the rainbow people… that’s all thanks to Drag Race. And I say that as someone who used to enjoy watching it (before I could suspend disbelief no longer).
That is the most shocking pa3dophilia I have ever seen. This should honestly count as child porn. He is literally subjecting a tiny child to incident exposure.

Power to Bette and Macy Gray! It filled me with relief to see them speaking so openly and unapologetically - and the inevitable misogyny and racism that will come their way sickens me. The spiteful remarks about older women at the Bristol women's march also angered me - that generation of women should be venerated for how hard they fought for civic rights and freedom to be enshrined in law, rights and freedoms that TRAs today take for granted. I detest the way words like 'fascist' and 'Nazi' are recklessly thrown about by TRAs - for me it trivialises those two terms, their histories and dilutes them, as well as the impact they continue to have on people who are genuinely at risk of being attacked or even killed by those espousing such ideologies. I feel like TRAs latch onto any term, regurgitate it and think that if they scream it enough times (and with enough volume) that other people will believe/buy into their delusional inner world. They have no idea what being a victim of Nazi hatred is like, nor what life is like under a fascist regime - they're so desperate to be oppressed and victimised, that they will go to any lengths to feel it, but will never ever stand in solidarity with women and/or other minority groups (which baffles me; I've grown up with racism and I don't understand why there are people in society who so badly *want* to be a victim of anything). They are nobody's ally and are self-serving 'activists' who stand for nothing when you really look at their hollow slogans, performative behaviour and warped views. They are the embodiment of the saying "empty vessels make the most noise." I don't understand how it's come to this: where women are fighting for their very existence

there are several scientists on Twitter going for clout with the whole ‘as someone who works in microbiology there are not just two sexes even at chromosomal level’ and all the TRAs point and go ‘see!’ As if they even knew what a chromosome was.

Yesterday we had a session in work about the “menopause at work” which basically spoke about how over 40% of the women in our workplace are in the age bracket where they would be going through the menopause and how they wanted to shine a light on the fact that people don’t really talk about it and how people can be more considerate of symptoms and brining resources to line managers etc etc.

What really struck me was actually the “exclusive” 😉 language they were using. All of it referred to women, and in the current position we’re in with inclusive language I was absolutely delighted that 1) they were taking the time to bring light to a woman’s issue and 2) they were calling a spade a spade and saying this impacts WOMEN (not men who identify as women)

Every adult at that show needs their bleeping hard drives checking wtf. Call social services, that’s an actual n0nce convention

I have been ruminating on this whole inclusive language stuff, because I love language and mangling it bothers me. More transmen opt for removal of their female organs than transwomen have their dicks chopped off. So if language is to be inclusive (and lets face it is only language around women that has been mangled) then surely it would be the opposite of what is happening? Fewer transwomen have wombs, or breasts or vaginas. So why? I mean I know why, but no matter how they choose to live, men will always have a prostate, so calling them prostate havers would be accurate and inclusive. Calling women uterus carriers, or menstruators, or vagina owners is neither accurate or inclusive of all transmen. Transmen rarely choose to menstruate, surely the hormones they take would stop menstruation. It is a big con isn't it? Or a continuation of the big con of keeping women on their knees.

Another harrowing account from a detransitioner, I’m going to listen to the full podcast this morning.

Ive noticed the same at my workplace yknow - language has to be inclusive everywhere except when they talk about menopause and then it's women this, women that. Think someone in the EDI team must have put their foot down!

I'm chuckling over the mystical, yet non existant, cousin. With each post the poster sounds more like a trans woman.

"Fully female" - it's been pointed out that this is hysterical. No transwoman ever becomes fully female, they remain fully male.

'Vagina'? No, it's an open wound which has to be constantly dialated or it closes up. Vagina's don't do that. It also smells of tit. Worse of all, it has to have hair balls pulled out of it  That doesn't happen to women (thank Goddess).

The fairy tales that they are pushing are just that - fairy tales. No basis in reality at all.

Detransition nightmare? Wtf do they expect to happen when they have themselves surgically mutilated? No sympathy from me.

Menopause can be hell for women and it is extremely difficult to hold down a job whilst going through it as well.

Their 'vag' arrangement sounds like the stuff of nightmares 😱

Yes, I do partly think that, but I also think that there is a wider agenda and the sheer numbers of detransitioners mean that they are being exploited for money, and failed by the system. So as wild as it is and as exasperating as I find the TRAs, I will always be able to muster a vestige of sympathy.

They describe this current fad as a "sexual lobotomy". Remember in the 50's when housewives were having parts of their brain cut out to combat depression and that was seen as cutting edge science? We reversed out of that cul de sac didn't we? Hopefully we will do the same here, before the ideology goes too far.

Yes I feel a lot of sympathy for detransitioners tbh, I think so many of these people who take it to the point of allowing someone to mutilate their genutals are people who have been brainwashed for literally years, most likely from when they were just children who really didn’t know any better. For example our fellow tattlers (perhaps fictional, but who knows) cousin, who was supposedly told that they were in the wrong body since the tender age of 3 years old!
In the US as well they’re 100% exploited for money, I think it happens less so in countries with free healthcare.
