(In the UK, babies are given a NHS number straight after birth, or as soon as possible after, if not born at a hospital. This is when the baby's sex is first "officially" recorded, although it may already be on their hospital notes, and will also be noted later on the child's birth certificate. Occasionally, the person entering the data gets it wrong. This may not be noticed by anyone for several days, and it's not until a parent notices that the sex is wrong on their discharge notes, or a midwife or health visitor spots it in the red book, that it will be changed to the correct sex, although this can only be done within a limited timeframe. But definitely not 45 years later!!)
Out of interest, what happens if nobody notices and the limited timeframe runs out? Does the baby have an incorrect sex on their birth certificate until they are old enough to legally change it even though they are actually that sex? I’m intrigued and confused!

Changing the subject!

Moving on to here about the scummy mummies if anyone follows them? They have a thread in here that I posted on but I don’t want to hijack it with gender critical comments cos I don’t want to get into any arguments with handmaidens.

Helen has a 13 year old daughter and just last year posted a lovely post on international daughters day talking about what a strong woman her daughter is becoming etc. She seemed pretty girly in the pic (although her face was covered for privacy). Cut to now and Helen is at London pride with her (them?) with her daughters face covered with the pride flag but you can see her daughters hair has been shaved. She doesn’t say ‘daughter’ anymore just kid or teenager. Someone in the comments said ‘they’ (meaning her daughter) looked great. I’m sensing non binary in the air. I dunno why but I just feel disappointed that girls (it’s mainly teen girls) that are doing this, just a rejection of womanhood. I always thought the scummy mummies were down to Earth, pro women type of people. Maybe they are and Helen is just supporting her child by going along with it. As I say, I mentioned it on the SM thread but if I say too much the ‘be kind’ brigade will jump on me like they did in the Jameela Jamil thread and I have no energy for that today. Any thoughts?
I had all my lovely long blonde hair cut off at 11. I was a proper tomboy. It's quite a normal phase to go through but parents shouldn't then be enabling their daughters to go down the whole non binary route, it's not necessary, most girls grow out of that stage once puberty is getting to the end. Just let your daughter be a tomboy, it's fine but I guess there is no kudos in that.

I can see both sides of the argument. I like the idea of celebrating diversity, Pride should be celebrated. But, not with furries, or any other sexual proclivity that belongs between two consenting adults in their own homes. I am sad there is still homophobia, but fuck me, a hell of a lot of that comes from the fucking T brigade! Three women a week are murdered, just for being women, and we cannot even have one fucking day without the T demanding to join in and make it all about them and their fucking non existent struggle.

I think this is what pisses people off, and it will be the downfall of the fabulous acceptance from most of the general population towards same sex attracted men and women. More gay men and lesbians need to speak up, need to call out the homophobia in the queer movement. Shout out, with fucking Pride, they are same sex attracted not same gender. Take back that which the queer brigade have stolen, because they have taken everything women could call their own. And they will do the same to the Pride movement, or are doing the same. This is why people roll their eyes over yet more photographs of politicians and celebrities with the queer community, not the gay community. It is always drag queens and trans people. Just fucking find a lesbian or a gay man dressed for pride, not the BDSM club!
There's no value in that though. This is going to make me sound horrible but I think it's Channel 4 that have a programme announcer that I think is deaf. Because he is not seen there is no value in having a wheelchair user in the role because no one can see them so they chose someone that you would know has a disability by their voice. Obviously I don't have an issue with the guy that has the job but the whole reasoning behind it fucks me off.

Did someone say that Jeffree Star would be their celebrity terf earlier?

never particularly followed him, of course I know who he is, but this is exactly the point. You should be able to wear what you want, have the interests that you want, etc etc without having to "change your sex"

For those of you with adult children - was there so much knowledge about predatory adults and children with knives? I lived close to school so walking wasn’t an issue but was out working nights in a bar as a glass collector when I was 17. I wouldn’t let my kid do what I did - (as I was exposed to creepy predatory adults and hadn’t a clue).

*Im not judging what anyone has done, but getting a balance between safety and independence is hard and I am struggling with it.
Yes, my Son had to go through Croydon to get to school. He didn't have a smart phone as he didn't need one and I felt it would be more likely to make him a target, proven by how many of his friends got mugged. Predatory adults have always been around, we've all known that, in fact when I was in Secondary School we had the Police in for assembly to provide guidance as there had been some sex attacks in the park near our school and a pervert exposing himself on the train. We actually weren't supposed to walk through the park on our own but one boy did as he had been to the dentist and was late, rather then take the long way he cut through and was raped. That definitely made us aware. I think the biggest difference between now and then is that although it's much more in the news now, we were far better prepared in the past, probably because we were allowed so much more freedom plus although we had more freedom we usually had atleast 1 parent at home. It's also important to realise that 97% of attacks on children happen within the home and/or by someone known to them.

Marilyn has been terfy for a while now - so glad to see these awesome screenshots, as when I started to read your post I was scared that he’d caved under pressure 😅

Sadly I think Boy George is on the side of TWAW, but Marilyn’s right: he and Boy George, as well as women like Annie Lennox and Alison Moyet, were absolutely gender-non-confirming and genuinely challenged gender expectations 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

And what’s the betting Marilyn doesn’t get anything like the abuse Alison Moyet got for being openly GC 🙄
I don't think George is. I'm pretty sure he's tweeted before that men aren't women, or something along those lines.

In which case she knows full well that trans women are not women, otherwise why would there be a need for concessions in any circumstances? 🙄
Yeh that was my take too but she closed the conversation down as she said that we were never going to agree so I didn't get to point that out:unsure:

I don’t think he can make his mind up, or he just says anything for attention.

For example, there’s this:

But then I recall him saying something ridiculous about how it was wrong to exclude trans women from womens sport due to physical advantage, because some people grew up with the ‘advantage’ of living nearer to a swimming pool than others so they could train more, so there are all kinds of unfair advantages in sport 😆
Actually it could have been about pronoun shit. I think he said there's straight or gay and that's it.

Power and misogyny.

This is a vid that Dr Jordan Peterson has just put out concerning his ban from Twatter. I don't agree with everything that Jordan Peterson says. I think he's wrong on a lot of things. But I agree with every word in this vid and it's well worth listening to them. It's about 15 mins long so make a cuppa first. Or hit the gin, whatever works best for you. ;) :D

I totally agree with everything he says .

This is quite shocking. I was walking to primary school (lived in a village, probably half a mile walk?) at 7 or so, and everyone got the bus to secondary school about three or four miles away.

And the school was open all day so you could come and go as you pleased. We'd walk into town for lunch. And to scuttle off to smoke shit weed at a pal's house 😂. As far as I recall nobody was kidnapped or murdered.

This was late 90s/early 2000s.
At my infant school the playground was just a patch of tarmac in the middle of a common, no fences but absolutely none of us stepped off that tarmac ever

No I didn't get the outrage either. I doubt anyone is aware of "pansexual day of visibility" or that any corporations are making their employees celebrate any of the days on it bar Pride.

Also its from twitter or Facebook, I'd say two thirds of those dates are made up so people can be faux outraged.
Yeah! And, if we're honest, most people who criticise the above wouldn't dream of criticising things like Black History Month. But prejudice towards gay people is still, sadly, quite widely propagated and deemed as an acceptable "opinion". It just gets me down sometimes.

I think there have always been issues with predatory adults, and gangs and knives!

So I do think its hard to get the right balance, but... the difficulty is....you need to teach your children how to be independent, how to assess risks and how to cope as an adult. I think if they are kept too much in cotton wool, then they dont learn how to take sensible risks...and are actually in more danger in dodgy situations.

I live close to a secondary school, and did find it odd how many presumably year 7 children were escorted to and from school last September!

(I think he is - just sees $$$$ now - and can barely conceal his contempt for some of the younger queens)

he has had to change so much over the years - they used to get SHE-MAIL - the horror!
I don’t follow drag race at all, I’m interested if it’s been noticed by the TRAs that ru paul isn’t a fan?

No, I understand what you're getting at. Normally it shouldn't affect anyone, and if the person is capable and good at the job , then they should get it- but the whole way the media virtue-signal box-tick over EVERYTHING now , and put it all in front of the content or programme means I can't " see around" it to get at the programme content - it's all I ' see' in front of it - so I don't bother, for the same reasons - if I'm making sense?
None of it should be an issue if they are the right people for the jobs in hand- but it is made an issue because the media push it as an issue.
