Love this. I’ve seen this argument thrown around a lot - that the female swimmers should boycott and if they don’t, they’re complicit. It’s always the women at fault.

Do trans people really need their own competition space? Hopefully this phase will die down and the numbers of children we see being pushed into being trans will fade and we can legislate to stop the predatory pervs so that leaves a small number of what I’ve heard termed ‘genuine’ trans people. I suspect very very few are actually inclined or of the ability to compete in elite sports.
Not really 🤷‍♀️ Trans people need to understand - outside of the affirmative hugbox of their rainbow-haired peers - that transitioning will curtail many opportunities in life. Dating & relationships, good health and competitive sport is at the top of the list.

Simple politics have posted about NHS wait times and the government's plans to cut them and of course someone has to bring it back to trans people 😑

View attachment 1113931

Someone in the replies states that cancer should be prioritised over gender clinics and the reply is about how so many trans people are killing themselves because they are so depressed because they can't get treatment.

Just highlights how selfish these people are. They need therapy not gender reassignment
Depressed people are killing themselves because they can't get treatment. Anorexics are dying because they can't get treatment.

Straight from the NHS website here:

"Little is known about the long-term side effects of hormone or puberty blockers in children with gender dysphoria. Although GIDS advises this is a physically reversible treatment if stopped, it is not known what the psychological effects may be.

It's also not known whether hormone blockers affect the development of the teenage brain or children's bones. Side effects may also include hot flushes, fatigue and mood alterations."

Anyone who seriously thinks something as fundamental to biological development as puberty can simply be switched on and off like a lightbulb is clearly mentally deficient in some way. The argument is just not worth entertaining.

All these TRA types think they're amazingly progressive and radical but the majority of them are massively privileged e.g. middle class white women from private schools, or just white men full stop. There are sooo many of these types on Twitter at the moment telling Rowling to 'stop talking' etc because she's a billionaire - yeah she is NOW, but she's come from an actual disadvantaged background. I would rather hear from her any day over these twats who don't recognise their own privilege.

Unfortunately this thread shockingly reeks of transphobia. Some of the views on this page are deplorable. I thought this was a place for sharing opinions but to my mistake, I didn’t quite get the context of this thread.

delaying puberty is imperative for those with gender identity issues. Those that go through puberty for the ‘wrong’ gender experience immense dysphoria.

as for ‘men born men should use men’s bathrooms’ and vice versa as quoted further up this page - wow. I hope none of you on this thread ever experience the loss of a relative from gender identity issues as a consequence of these ignorant views.

(also to add, quoting someone else’s opinion does not add to your argument at all.)
Yes because 9 year olds living in Brighton often have gender identity issues so delaying puberty is imperative. We need to give untested drugs where we do not know the long term effects to more children. Even if the decide on the Tuesday that they are the opposite sex at 9 because 4 of their classmates also are we are simply there as parents to reinforce that.......get them on the drugs!!!

That is all irony obviously but what someone does not ask is why there is a social contagion in certain schools or certain areas. Then when they are referred they are simply validated. Gender identity issues can only be diagnosed after years of actual therapy not after 2 sessions from a gender happy clappy at Tavistock - that is what currently happens. I would estimate that at least 95% plus children (if not more) would grow out of it given time or indeed much better therapy. Sadly you are one of the type of adults pushing unproven medical intervention at children.

I am also fed up hearing of the suicide argument which is complete and utter pish. The suicide statistics do not support it at all.......lets face it if we sadly had a child with genuine gender dysphory Mermaids would ride that corpse for all its worth. I have went on trans threads on reddit and frankly they scare me as its just all validation before quickly suggesting get on those puberty blockers. The threads are run by some pretty unsavoury people.

By all means call me transphobic it just reinforces my belief that anyone on the gender cult train is unable to think for themselves or articulate a reasoned debate. I might even get myself a T shirt with transphobe on it but the T shirt printers will probably be too busy printing up "kill terf" T shirts for men to wear at woman's events.

They are happy to do all the flag waving in but probably not so happy to pick up all the pieces when it all goes horribly wrong.
Horrifying. This is what we want to avoid. Why can’t people be helped to accept the body they are in rather than destroying it for an idea they are not? This poor woman will be paying for the cost of this forever. If in the UK the NHS will be picking it up.

Why is it sad? It's a great thing. It shows that kids are finally being referred for the help that they need?!
It's sad because 2010 wasn't the dark ages. There hasn't been some great awakening. Instead kids are told to "be kind" aka shut up and everyone wants to be different or have a label. Because being white, straight and no neurodivergence is not cool.

Girls are being convinced by tiktok that they are trans when actually they are autistic lesbians who have been bullied and need some mental health support.

You also say it means they are getting the help they need. No they aren't. Again they need mental health support, that has a far shorter waiting lost then a gender clinic that will just reinforce their ideas.

if I am being kind......part of me feels sad that poor Lia Thomas felt such awful gender dysphoria..that they had no choice but to start their transition. And if their choice to live as a different gender, didnt affect anyone else, I wouldnt really care at all.

But I am not sure how or why the mental health professionals advising Lia, suggested that she should still continue to swim competitively. Especially when swimming, her previous cis born natal male characteristics , of height, shoulders etc are so obvious. It cant be good for her mental health for this to be constantly commented on. Nor is it likely to be positive for the press to be talking about her still having her male penis whilst changing in the female changing rooms

But maybe this needs to be commented on....to allow for a proper handicap, similar to those used in horse racing , to alleviate the benefit of height shoulder size etc. Maybe lia should be competing with a time penalty or something like extra weights on a belt around her waist, to eliminate her natal birth advantages?

And as for toilets, whats the issue with continuing to have seperate male and female toilets, but just increase the number of disabled toilets, or family toilets, that can also be gender neutral?
My issue with same sex toilets, is that of cleanliness........if you ever work with small boys, they seem to delight in spraying urine everywhere, so single same sex toilets can be a real pain for getting a class of young children ready before lunch, ie whole class, does wash hands and go to the toilet........you have to check and clean up between each child. I would have thought adult men would have learnt better aim, but the smell in male toilets....would suggest not.
I don't feel sorry for him at all. He is a man in a women's race. Your suggestions would mean women continuing to make allowances for men in our spaces. We wasn't given them for no reason. Men rape and kill us, it's a real problem. 99% of ALL sex offences are committed by men. Wake up.

I feel sorry for the women who have trained for years to lose to a man.

I feel sorry for the women who have had to share their locker room with naked and exposed Will, and when they complained they were silenced and told they no action would be taken because he identifies as a woman.

I feel sorry for the women who have been silenced and told they will lose their scholarships if they dare speak out against Will.

I feel sorry for the women who have been silenced and told they will not get job offers if they dare speak against Will.

I couldn't care less about Will Thomas or his feelings. I care about the women he has traumatised through HIS actions. Will Thomas is a 22 year old man, who is fully responsible for his role the horror show he has partaken in.

Why does no one ever seem to address the fact that it’s not so much everyone thinks trans women are dangerous predatory monsters, but the fact that men can say “I’m a woman” and get into our spaces and somehow that’s not a reason to worry?!?! I really don’t understand it.

How does anyone propose we tell the difference between a man who wants to do us harm and a man who wants to live his life peacefully in a dress?
Most people are still being kind and polite.

I like Kellie Jay Keen's take. They are men, use the men's.

No one's identity should be acknowledged legally or taken to mean they have changed sex. Because we all know you can't do any such thing.

If grown adults want to transition, the provision is there for them. There is no need to want to fast track a child to make such serious decisions and as adults we should be protecting them, not immediately affirming and changing names and pronouns and getting them referred. There is a reason children are not allowed to get married, drink alcohol, get tattoos, make financial decisions. If drinking alcohol is not safe or healthy for a child under 18, why is giving them puberty blockers ok? If we don’t trust kids with deciding to get a tattoo, why would we think a 16 year old should be able to make the decision to get their breasts or penis removed? The human brain doesn’t fully develop until we are 25. There are lots of mistakes I’m sure we all made as kids, but as adults I’m sure we all still have our body parts intact??

Sorry to go on about that yoppie post but a blue tick has entered the comments! Andi Oliver, the tv chef. She’s on the great British menu at the mo. Woo hoo go Andi!! I wonder if this will get picked up by the press. Let’s face it there have been stories about less 😂

She’s even put it on her own stories!

There's an article in the daily mail today about a new mini pill that can be taken any time within 24 hours and atill be effective, unlike most other mini pills that only have a 3 hour window. The article is poorly written as the headline is NHS won't fund it but the body is the manufacturer hasn't applied to be licensed by NHS.

Anyway my point in posting here was that the comments on article are absolutely disgusting.

Full of men saying "if women can't keep their legs closed..." "NHS shouldn't be for lifestyle choices..." "women should have to pay for it..." "this is where the NHS is going wrong..."

It's absolutely disgusting
They really are. I’m increasingly of the opinion that a larger proportion of men than we would ever imagine actually hate us.

Lia Thomas is peaking the world. Can no longer be such an abstract concept when you them all on the podium. A picture paints a thousand words.
Im so happy to see those real women standing together as a trio. It wouldn’t shock me at all if they’ve been threatened with disqualification if they speak out or act in a way the hard left would describe as “hateful or anti-trans” such as refusing to compete against the man.

The man looks pathetic stood there on first. Almost like a child that they have had to put up with him partake in their game incase he cries.

Very telling! Sending out a clear message. How Lia Thomas can sleep at night I have no idea. I honestly do not think LT actually is trans. I think he is doing all this deliberately for his own gain, knowing the political landscape that trans women hold all the power now. He knows he can get to the Olympics and win gold and doesn’t care how many women he needs to trample all over to get it. And we’ve all to stand back and cheer. FUCK.THAT.

In case anyone has missed it today, JK Rowling has been magnificent on Twitter. Handed Laurie Penny’s arse to her and it was bloody joyous.

Laurie is a classic example of a privileged (privately educated, went to Oxford) white "cis" woman, and in today's bastardisation of intersectional feminism, that puts her at the top of the hierarchy of oppressors (below men of her social class of course, but still a peddler of the much-maligned white feminism).

In a culture where the perceived most "oppressed" people are given the most legitimacy (irrespective of their actual experience), how can she escape accusations of "talking over more marginalised voices"? Declare herself "non-binary" of course! It's so fucking blatant it's embarassing.

She's now saying that poor reviews of her latest book are some sort of co-ordinated attack on her. I've read a few reviews, all by women, mostly by feminists, who simply point out that her book isn't very well researched and lacks logical consistency. But of course because she's "non-binary" she's somehow being victimised. Or Laurie, maybe your book is just shit?
