I’m finding a lot of the media coverage on incels pretty frustrating at the moment, it’s obvious this is the first time a lot of people are hearing the term and I don’t think ‘involuntary celibate’ describes it very well at all.
It’s true a lot of these men might have found themselves on these site and forums because they felt they were unable to meet women, but a lot of the men on these sites are in relationships and even married. Like most things on the internet there are loads of different fractures that sit under the ‘incel’ umbrella.
We obviously don’t know a lot of information about the incident that has happened recently here in the UK - but I am absolutely sure that perpetrator walking into a bar and sleeping with a woman would not of changed anything. These are deep rooted misogynistic (and very often racist) beliefs - these people aren’t all in their parents basements, you could be living with, working with or even dating an ‘incel’.
And that’s me not even getting started on the awful ‘dating coaches’ ‘pick-up artists’ that are more popular than ever, a different approach but all of course laced with misogyny and lack of respect for women.

From what I've seen online of incels, they seem to be socially awkward men with nothing to offer a women or society in general. - and found this thread. It's been such a relief to see smart, funny, thoughtful women discussing in detail so many of the issues that have been infuriating me for ages. I've been in bed for the past fortnight with pneumonia and in between coughing and sleeping I have been working my way through the whole of this discussion. Just what the doctor ordered!
I am a survivor of extensive CSA and I am horrified and outraged by so much of what is being advocated by so called progressives. I was banned from Twatter last year after attempting to expose the utter noncery of "MAP's" - despite the fact that I was trolled relentlessly, threatened with rape and murder and eventually doxxed. Yet I got banned for erm, hateful behaviour
I am so angry that so many of us are too scared to challenge this trans BS for fear of the repercussions. Its not progressive its fascism. I say this as someone with left-wing, political beliefs. I currently feel like I have no political home and despite years of activism feel really burned out and hopeless.
Anyhow I finally plucked up the courage to post here. I want to connect with others who see this for the dangerous, toxic and regressive BS it is. So hi

I saw this headline the other day (later changed), and was struck yet again by the media's need to minimise/erase male violence - even if it means putting the mass murderer on a par with his victims.
The domestic incident headline I think came from the police as that’s what they were reporting it as at the time.
