On a happier note, this is being met with all positive comments and reactions. I'm so glad that Harry Potter is still popular, because that's partly how JK funds all the good work she does. And, it's heartening to know that ordinary folk are not being turned by trans loons.

And the layers of clothing are usually clearly polyester too 🥵 makes me feel ill just thinking about it. I live in a multicultural city so see this a lot. The other day a lady was wearing the full outfit and her dress layer covered trousers which poked out at ankle length, which looked to be thick material. Meanwhile I was swooning from the heat on the way back from the shop in my loose white cotton blouse.

:(

And influencer (rich) female muslims on Instagram often say "but it's my choice"....is it though, when you have your whole family and culture with expectations feeding into your decision and non compliance will cause you having to justify/explain if you don't dress that way? That's a lot of peer pressure.

The message it sends girls seeing their mum dressing head to toe in black polyester in the summmer 😫
I find it so sad. I worked with a beautiful muslim girl who didn’t wear a headscarf and always wore beautiful bright clothes and hair and makeup looked amazing always! Then she got engaged to a much older man - she was 20 and he was early 30s and she told me he kept telling her she needs to wear a head scarf once they’re married but she was refusing to as she loved doing her hair etc.

I left the company and a couple years ago she added me on instagram…. She now wears a full black headscarf that covers her hair and neck, and her clothes are so plain and often black.

It makes me sad knowing how bright and happy she was before she married him, and seeing what he turned her into after relentless pressure to be the perfect Muslim wife (I assume)

Yesterday the Amos report into Maternity and Neonatal Services in England was finally published after a series of maternity scandals, where women and babies suffered trauma, prompted an investigation.

Page 1 of the report

From Annex 1

1782890099488.png

Throughout the report, there is reference to ‘women and birthing people’. The only ‘people’ who use maternity services are women. They are trying to justify the use of ‘birthing people’ as a term to be inclusive to the ‘LGBTQIA+’ community but it’s utter bullshit. Plenty of lesbian women have children and they are not excluded by the term ‘women’. So really it’s about ideological pandering to make sure there is no backlash from TRAs - in a report which focuses on harm experienced by women.

But its not a fetish
“Why are we seeing these things so differently!”

Because you’re a man, you fucking imbecile, and the simple act of putting on a dress and a wig doesn’t make you vulnerable in the same way that women are vulnerable.

Cosplaying a male-gaze version of “femininity” carries none of the real-world consequences of actually being female. 😡

I wonder how much medication this would have funded? How many extra nurses? All for one man’s delusion.

What makes it even worse is when you add up the total between the Darlington nurses and Sandie Peggie. All because of two deluded males who wished to inflict their fetish on unwilling women. What really sickens me is the NHS pretending that they don’t know that both “Rose” and Upton were men. If health care providers don’t know the biological difference between make and female, then heaven help us. Of course, it’s all about supporting the most unscientific, senseless load of male centred ideology, at the expense of the discomfort of women.

Sympathies to you @MaineCoonMama. That’s absolutely outrageous behaviour.

I had a small success with two handmaids yesterday. They were all expressing support for a trannie when I said I was all for busting gender norms and society’s expectations but you can’t change facts. To make my point, I said I was 48 but could genuinely feel that I had nothing in common with other 48 year olds and want to dress and act like a 20 year old. That’s fine but I would still be a 48 year old and I could only accept to socialise with other 20 years olds if they all wanted me too. Forcing them is out of order. I think it’s the first time I was able to make a coherent argument and not get annoyed. They agreed and I was over the moon.

Things are definitely changing. There's a poster on the Anne Widdecombe thread that has repeatedly referred to Heather as she and so many people are pushing back. Someone also told us to take the gender politics to this thread and also got pushed back.
Great to see.
I am here because of that thread. I read a few posts on this thread now and again but don’t often join in. I’ve had enough of it all atm though, I live in a very woke area where businesses are falling over themselves to welcome all the ******’s by insisting they are a safe space for them and are still of course welcome to piss all over the floor in the women’s toilets. Sod the actual women, who cares about them when you can pander to a man in a wig

Met Police have paid Graham Linehan £25k in compensation for their treatment of him.
Good. The fact that someone can be arrested by armed police at an airport because someone complained about tweets not even directed at them demonstrates that the most vulnerable community on earth aren't that vulnerable, are they? Having the police on speed dial over a tweet not aimed at them suggesting (rightly) that a group they profess to be part of is misogynist and homophobic .

Well good luck when so much money has been leeched out of the NHS on defending spurious court cases and paying compensati9on claims that half of them end up out of a job.
We are constantly told the NHS is struggling and needs money and yet they are perfectly happy to waste money on the spurious court cases, which have been caused because of the NHS's own failure to follow the law.

I need to vent, and I also need some advice...it's long, sorry.

My granddaughter was staying with us over the weekend. She's 16, ADHD, strongly suspected to be autistic (not had a formal autism assessment yet, but the school think she is, as does her GP, along with her family). She is extremely suggestible, she will fixate on something or someone, and this will occupy most of her waking thoughts. She's a lovely kid, a very talented artist but she does struggle with "fitting-in" and with the normal teenage social relationships, which as we all know, can be a minefield at the best of times.
She's insisted that she is "bisexual" for ages, although most of her crushes are men (for context, her mum is gay and has a long-term partner) and tend to be middle-aged men. She has also had fixations on teachers, although, like all of her crushes, these come and go. She has a history of risky behaviour, she's not allowed a smartphone because she's been caught messaging boys/men and sending them photos etc, she just doesn't seem to grasp the consequences of such behaviour.

We've been out at the weekend and she's been talking non-stop about this teaching assistant at school. About how he's so lovely and caring, about how he's having trouble with his landlord and is having to move, about how he likes this band or that film, on and on. Eventually, she discloses that "Sir" is a TIF. No issue with that, I try to keep my more extreme views to myself, but I said, "Oh, that's a bit sad, those people often have a difficult life, and some mental health issues, I hope it works out ok for him" (because I'm not going to pretend that it's a normal thing!)
As the day goes on, she tells me how "Sir" has had top surgery (me: "you mean a double masectomy") but isn't planning to have bottom surgery because he doesn't want a "micropenis". She then helpfully informed me that the hormones help the clitotis to grow into a penis but it isn't very big. I did give her a bit more info about "bottom surgery" and how it's almost always unsuccessful, with hideous complications, but she then started on about how "most transmen use packers".

I don't know if it's just me, but I'm absolutely outraged that a TA in a position of authority is talking about her medical transition to suggestible teenage girls who are supposedly under her care. I've spoken to her mum, who is horrified and has disclosed that my granddaughter has been talking about wanting a binder and "wants to be a boy". This has come up a few times over the years, she has a "trans" friend, who looks exactly like she did before she was trans, and almost every girl in her school identifies as NB or one of the other rainbow letters, we had a long talk a whole back about how being a girl sucks but that it gets better and you just learn to deal with it, because women don't have a choice, etc.

Her mum isn't going to let any of this nonsense take hold if she can possibly help it, but we want this TA to be told to keep her trap shut. Her pupils do not need to know her medical history, nor do they need indoctrination into the trans cause. I'm honestly flabbergasted that a TA would even consider speaking about this, but when I said this to GD, she said it's a "trust thing", and that the teacher tells you about her issues so that you can tell her about yours. This sounds quite sinister to me, but what do I know?

We need to be careful, my GD can be a liar. However, this TA has written articles all over the "queer" internet about her trans journey, but I can't find anything which details her surgery, just vague stuff about how "freeing" it was, etc, etc. We're pretty sure that she is talking to young girls about it, but we're not sure how to raise concerns without coming across as troublemakers. (I personally don't give a shit, but my daughter has enough judgement as a lesbian single parent of a "difficult" kid)
I know that the education sector is generally in thrall to the holy grail of trans, but I don't feel that any teacher should be talking to pupils about their medical conditions anyway, imagine a male teacher telling teenage girls about his prostate surgery, or a woman telling 12 year old boys about her smear test...they don't need to know!! 😡
Not really sure where to go from here...

We are all well invested in our TERFy knowledge on this thread but I think many pro-trans posts are from people who don't know what they're talking about - they have no clue about Bash Back and deplorable weirdos like 'Heather' Herbert, they are unaware of death threats TRAs issue to women, the Darlington nurses, the high incidence of SA/CSA by TIMs etc etc.

Many people's total frame of reference for TIMs is Hayley Cropper and 'we just want to pee' - they haven't actually got a clue what is going on and are speaking from a position of ignorance.

Just seen a trannie in Asda. Tall, skinny, straggly grey hair, big hands and dressed in a frumpy skirt and blouse with trainers. Had the essential huge boobs for his frame. We were going in opposite directions towards an exit at the same time, so I sped up so I didn't have to stand back to allow him through.
How he will have framed it on Reddit/trans:

“I was just in the lingerie section in Asda when a woman joined me in the aisle and started looking at the bras. We smiled at each other in solidarity and she commented how difficult it was to choose the right style and fit. She pointed to a couple of different ones and asked my opinion about which I thought would suit her figure best. I was happy to oblige and we ended up bemoaning the drawbacks of having large breasts. I left the store feeling happy and affirmed and the woman’s smile of gratitude as we parted ways made my day.”

I’ve been feeling similar. Even on here I’ve seen people say “her views were abhorrent!” but it hasn’t exactly taken a deep dive to realise that isn’t entirely true.

Yes, her religious beliefs meant that she couldn’t stand in support of gay marriage or abortion, but by all accounts that didn’t stop her from having gay friends. So all the people calling her a disgusting bigot and a homophobe are just repeating what they’ve heard other people say 🤷‍♀️

Edit: such as this clip
I was thinking yesterday about how AW’s Catholic beliefs are used to vilify her as a despicable person, and it occurred to me that followers of other religions that are similarly anti-same-sex marriage tend not to receive the same castigation. 🤔

The thing is, nobody gives a shit about your 'identity'. Your feelings are irrelevant. What we're concerned about is the physical body in our spaces, and in women's spaces, sports etc, that should be a female body.
Absolutely this.

Sports, crimes, giving birth, etc are not played out by "feelings" - they are played out by physical bodies. It is out bodies that make us vulnerable or not, not some strange feeling in our heads.

You were born with a penis? Then call yourself what you like - but keep out of spaces reserved for people born with vaginas. And vice versa.
