I would well believe it. Unfortunately.
Yes, I belong to a U3A group and one of the women members was talking about conversations she has with her primary school aged grandchild. She was shocked by the sort of stuff he was alluding to as being commonly shared within his friendship group and other classmates. She was also painfully aware that he wouldn't have told her about the worst of it. She was shocked and she's not the type of person who is easily shocked.

It's really worrying and the vast majority of parents have absolutely no idea the abhorrent materials that their children are exposed and dimsemminating.

You’d have to be stupid not to know, but then I think a lot of parents ARE woefully stupid and incapable of proper parenting. I didn’t let either of my sons have a mobile until they were 16 and 18 respectively. I’ve got the strongest possible parental control settings on my router still and my youngest son has parental controls on his phone (even though he’s 22) because he’s got severe learning difficulties and I want to protect him from stumbling across things that will disturb him.

TRA views are highly polarising, but I’m guessing they’re not “highly sensitive” to the fact that they could be “deeply unsettling and alienating” to women, who are 50% of the population. But I also guess that women aren’t “valued” as members, supporters and colleagues.
Women aren't even valued when they're volunteering to work for free in charity shops, rattling collecting tins outside supermarkets, or doing the heavy lifting at the sharp end of caring for disabled people such as the driving to hospital appointments, the endless laundry, wiping backsides, and the general drudgery involved in looking after anyone at home.
Of course, a man in a cheap wig and short skirt, turning up to volunteer to sing at the marathon would probably get an interview on the BBC primetime news and a job presenting the Eurovision Song Contest 🙄

I think most parents haven’t accepted or don’t understand how things have changed. They judge things based on their childhood when the most you could get your hands on was the underwear pages in your Mum’s catalogue or the odd random tank mag that would appear in a bush. It’s completely different and utterly horrifying.

I think another issue is that most men don't worry about their sons accessing porn, and a lot of women are so inured to their husbands accessing it (most of my married friends put it that they don't know and don't want to know what their husband looks at it) that once their sons hit puberty, they almost see it as a male right.

Anyone stupid and careless enough to let their child have a smartphone with no parental controls should never have been allowed to breed in the first place. It 's awful that good parents can do their best and still have their kids see something they shouldn't due to other people's crappy parenting.

Any child habitually watching porn has been failed by the adults in their life. One or two incidents of stumbling across something by accident or being shown by another child can happen to anyone despite best efforts, but anything worse is purely a result of negligence.

Realistically, nothing will ever stop it completely. Even in pre-internet times, kids could still find their dad's porn mags, or be given them by an older friend/brother/cousin. But that still doesn't excuse complacency. Teachers should be watching out for that tit and cracking down on it.

I think kids, at least primary school ones, just shouldn't be allowed to have their phones during the school day. Hand them in to the teachers in the morning and pick them up at the end of the day. Literally zero need for them during school hours. Everyone survived just fine without them 15 years ago. That would drastically reduce the opportunities for the kids with crappy parents to negatively affect the others.

Also, time to embrace my grumpy-old-ladyhood at 33, but jesus christ are children just bleeping feral these days or something? No one would have bleeping dared when I was in high school. I remember hearing boys talking about watching it and sharing tips on how to find it with their friends, but bringing it to school? Nope. Watching it together?! Double nope. Not that I ever heard of anyway.

Nah, that's giving these pricks way too much of a get out of jail free card. AGPs aren't poor innocent lambs led astray by porn, they choose to blow up their lives to live their fetish 24/7 and they bear full responsibility for their own behaviour*. Ted Bundy used the same excuse back in the 70s. Claimed that he wouldn't have been a serial killer if not for porn. Lol, what a load of bull. Millions of other men looked at the same stuff and didn't start raping and murdering women. He was just born a psychopath. But no one wants to look at their young son and admit that he might grow up to be a predator no matter how good a parent they are, so they seek to blame outside influences.

That said, I definitely do agree that porn being easier to access and more extreme nowadays is fuelling the problem, but it irks me when people put the sole blame on it like the men who misuse it aren't to blame for their own actions. And it just makes me laugh when people crusade to ban porn, like that would magically fix society (what, like Prohibition did? 🤣)

Porn isn't some kind of infectious plague that will suddenly make a well-adjusted guy decide to wear his sissy costume to work and call himself Tiffany, any more than watching a horror film will make someone start carving up people with chainsaws. Porn addicted creeps being catered to by society is a massive problem, obviously, but it's the symptom, not the disease. What creates most trans-identified people are mental health issues and systemic misogyny and/or homophobia. Plus, some people are just going to be how they are no matter how much support or education they get. Paraphilias and deviant sexual behaviour, both weird but harmless and predatory and dangerous, have always existed and will always exist no matter how much or little porn is available.

*To be clear, I mean adult ones are fully to blame for their own behaviour. Children being damaged by porn exposure at a young age is a totally different issue.

Thank you - this is what I was trying to say when I said that iron is corrupting. Hard agree with your post - adult men have to take responsibility.

What are SCOPE going to do if the women volunteers decide that they are no longer volunteering women need to wake up quick before it’s too late and I certainly will be thinking twice before having anything to do with the in any shape or form. Maybe businesses need to wake up and obey the law before they lose out also. Live how you wish to live but not at the expenses of others.🦕💚🤍💜
I wonder how the people running the marathon, to raise money for Scope who have GC views feel?

Have any TRA types/charities acknowledged lesbian visibility day today? 🧡🤍🩷
The irony and brass neck of Stonewall putting this out when they are complicit in sidelining lesbians and are responsible for pushing the erasure of women-only spaces and affirming the fetishes of heterosexual trans identifying males.

I’m with you on this. My daughter school has the age range of 4 upto 14, so she can be around kids much older than her who have access to smart phones.

I’ve been waiting for her at pick up time and the language and things these kids say is absolutely vile. Some can’t be any older than 11. I’ve seen them huddled round phones watching things on TikTok or lord knows what. I’ve even complained to the school about it on several occasions because it’s gross.

The saddest part is how the girls want to be near the boys, even after all that comes out of their mouths. I don’t understand it. The way they speak to the girls and they still keep running to them without even wondering if it’s ducked up they’re being spoken to like tit.

Surely “non-binary people” don’t want to be recognised on Lesbian Visibility Week 🤪

Instead of all of these virtue signalling visibility days, how about being honest and allowing lesbians to define themselves as same sex attracted women? I cannot imagine many lesbians truly want to have relationships with TIM. Men do not look or behave like women, however they may claim to identify. But we all know that the desires and wishes of trans trumps everything else with Stonewall.

My daughter recently (in her 20's) said the boys would watch porn on their phones at break times. At primary school.
One of them learns from someone at home and then shares the knowledge amongst friends/classmates. How else does an up to 11 year old know what to search for on their phones. If boys aged 11 and younger are watching it regularly then there's going to be so many blurred boundaries and lack of respect and young girls will experience porn sick boys trying to pester them. It breaks my heart. When I was at secondary school 20 years ago the IT staff had to start monitoring the computers because boys were downloading porn and I remember one day someone in our class logged on to find the desktop wallpaper was a close up of a vulva and spread legs 🤢 so someone aged 11+ had installed it for someone else to find.

But it was kind of expected in the sort of 13-15 age bracket but to hear primary school kids are accessing it, good god, no wonder young women are bemoaning the lack of decent faithful and respectful men if the boys spend years accessing that tit on the daily.

The Irish health service has massively increased its spend on sending Irish patients abroad for transgender surgical treatments. Spending for this purpose rose from €21,000 in 2022 to over €333,000 in 2024. We know about this astonishing, sixteen-fold increase in just two years because the Minister for Health was asked a parliamentary question about it by a TD (member of the Irish parliament).

Ireland's Spending Spree on Trans Surgeries Abroad

(The Treatment Abroad Scheme (TAS) is used by the Irish Health Service to reduce waiting lists by sending paitents abroad for surgery - for example a lot of hip replacement patients have their surgery in NI.)

Just saw this on Instagram… how the heck does anyone think this will work? What happens if and when intended parents change their mind? If the intended parents are 2 dads then are we changing the legal birth registration to not include mother? Just erasing the work of the woman who grew and birthed that baby for you? I don’t know how I feel about all this.

Of course two men want a woman, the mother, to be reduced to an incubator and her baby to be a product to be bought. What if the product of that incubation was brain damaged during birth? 'Intended parents' doesn't mean compulsory parents or obligatory parents. Clearly they want the right to back out if their purchase comes with a 'defect'.
