With the SC ruling I'm most relieved that rooms in hostels that are female only I don't have to worry about some AGP snoring away.

I ended up down a Reddit rabbit hole on this guy last night, and ended up back here on Tattle where this guy has his own thread.If you're brave enough, he's got his own website....
It's still being posted on and what struck me immediately is that everyone refers to him as a woman, even though what he was up to was very clearly known.
They are so programmed to see him as a woman that he got away with a lot more over years, that he just wouldn't have if it had been clear from the beginning that this is a man with at least two fetishes in plain sight.
Beasty weirdo in a broad Scots accent is my new favourite descriptor of these chaps.

I dislike this take intensely. They were not drag. Why is everything drag? There is a comment about how they were real women and he’s all why us being drag an insult?
It is because drag is a pastiche of womanhood and those were actual, human flawed women who made great tv. They were absolutely authentic.
They were , splendid Women who had lived extraordinary lives & Clarissa had been a Barrister at Law as well!

"An accident of birth" is so disrepectful to people who suffer actual birth injuries.
All of those people are perfectly welcome at the Olympics. They just have to compete against other people of the same sex. This pretence that it’s all very complicated does my head in.

I've been lurking on these threads for a while but just un-lurking from a few pages back having seen the video of the lawyer having a meltdown to say how absolutely ridiculous that she claims to be a man but as soon as she feels vulnerable she starts yelling (shrieking) for a female officer.
Also, thank you all for the insight and the open discussion. For the longest time I tried to be a "trans ally" (for reasons I cant explain), then at work we did an lgbtq course and the lgb was mostly missing.
It was all about trans and I was made to feel absolutely tit for asking any questions (perfectly reasonable ones) and made to feel like I was some kind of threat. Even though I was trying to be supportive, I either wasnt supportive enough or the right kind of supportive, who knows. But the more I listened the more I realised that I had just been almost brain washed into a way of thinking that actually didnt align with my own values and beliefs and I felt like a fool. Not only that but I couldn't really speak up about the way I feel and to some degree I still don't fully feel I can which makes me feel like a coward.
So thank you for this little space where I can come and feel like Im not going mad, that there are so many of us and slowly giving me the confidence to speak at least here

The Olympics are supposed to be exclusive not inclusive, they are about elite sport that 99.9% of the world is not invited to (due to not being good enough at a world level).
What that women is deliberately failing to understand is that the individuals were cheating by competing out of their category and they can try back in the men’s - however they are mediocre and therefore not qualifying.
