I’m starting to think there is something deeply wrong with men in general
Does she also object to dope testing, which - by her logic - must also police women's bodies? I believe this test is far more intrusive and restrictive - athletes must be readily available and are subjected to random testing, even at home. By comparison, a once-in-a-lifetime cheek swab is nothing.Just reading the NYT article about the IOC new policy and this quote jumped out at me. Am I misstaken or doesn't this do the opposite, if someones passed the test then there is no suspicion.
" Payoshni Mitra, executive director at Humans of Sport, a group that has focused on the issue, was critical of the new Olympic policy. “This kind of brutal language doesn’t protect sports — it polices women’s bodies,” she said in a statement to The New York Times. “It fuels suspicion, invites public scrutiny and puts already vulnerable athletes at risk.”" https://archive.ph/WRmUo
The automatic assumption that men’s activities and achievements are superior. See also that men do ART and women do crafts. Only one is studied for its history and importance whereas women can create a 3D garment out of a piece of string and a stick. (I know men knit too thanks to Tom Daley)Well yes and this is the other thing I don't get - why her male detractors seem to keen to decry the Harry Potter series as little kids' books.
The series is a complex Bildungsroman which explores moral liminality, the responsibilities of adulthood, the perils of moral certainty, the self-sacrifice of leadership, our responsibilities to the weak and vulnerable, and the pain and ultimately the triumph of self-actualisation.
It's a kids series in the same way that Lord of the Rings or The Odyssey are kids' books. That's to say, it has a universal appeal because it explores deep Jungian themes, not because it's simple or childlike.
TBH tho, the trans movement privileges malignant narcissism and the pursuit of cheap pleasure over social, familial and ethical responsibility, so in that sense it's not a surprise that the challenging but important themes in Harry Potter make them feel uncomfortable.
What day aren’t the fuckers visible? For such a tiny minority they have to be the most attention seeking people on this planet. Oh, and I don’t owe and random
BBC headline is reasonable for once but can you believe this needs to even be a headline?Headline should read “Men banned from Women’s Events”
It doesn't matter that "there is dispute over the incidence of such occurrence" does it? Women are allowed to say we don't want males in our spaces. And we shouldn't have to explain that this is: because there might be a risk of such an occurrence; for religious reasons; because some women have been subject to abuse; because women deal with messy biology or any of the other multiple reasons. We don't want them there. Those spaces are not for them, they are for us. And if just one single woman doesn't agree to it, it's a no. Because consent isn't transferable. The Examiner today
The general gist centred on a belief that some, if not many, who change their gender from male to female are liable to use entry to facilities like single sex bathrooms to prey on women. There is a dispute over the incidence of any such occurrence, but, as is standard for today’s world, a single or perceived incident can easily be blown up into a phenomenon if it fits neatly into an agenda.
Mick Clifford: Gender discourse pays scant regard to those it most directly impacts
Oh ffs. Isn't it bad enough that women have had to have parts of their bodies for ever described as ' the birth canal' as though that is its only purpose and she is just a vehicle.Don't know if this is a new thing but just came across my socials.
Since when is she able to speak into this sort of thing? That little photo in the corner is gross, that looks like a man, surely it can't be good for a baby? View attachment 3935513
Perfect thanks. I kept it simple. If other’s want to complain too then feel free to use this! You can complain here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/contact/complaints/make-a-complaint/#/Complaint Summary
Yes, he took his former partner's (of 19 years) surname following the purchase of his wig collection. Was he not one of the creepy ones who used his ex partner's name as his new name?
Apparently not. This is from 6 years agoOh dear. I always thought Sophie Ellis Bextor seemed quite sensible.![]()
It's such an imbecilic attempt at a 'gotcha'. No one has an open-door policy whereby any random member of society is able to use their toilet, and your home toilet is a single-person room that locks from the inside.I don't have much time for Ben Houchen but an interesting announcement just days after the vote in Darlington. Comments overwhelming in favour, apart from the usual "but my toilet is unisex".
