I'm actually too scared to watch the Webberley stuff, not gonna lie.

I couldn't finish the Bindel interview. Webberley was vile. She was much softer towards Andrew Gold, which gave him the opportunity to lead her into a few comments/ answers that damned her and her way of thinking. It was a much easier watch. I agree that she was more aggressive towards Julie Bindel.

I watched it and I thought this - she was a patronising hole towards him, but in a much less forceful way and insulting than with Julie Bindel (I haven't seen Helen Joyce yet). She was almost flirtatious in parts. However she continued to contradict herself, and give spurious analogies, and say "That's so unkind" and "If a TW feels unsafe/ uncomfortable why wouldn't you believe her?" etc

I don't know Doc - when women say they feel unsafe/ uncomfortable, why don't you believe them?

And also very adamant that you can't identify as black, even if you are pale-skinned but with black ancestry, because that's genetics and biology. Apparently you aren't allowed to have a black soul - just a female one

"Uniform standards" are an actual thing in aviation. There is no way any other man, or indeed woman, working in any capacity for an airline would be allowed to go on shift looking like that. He's an absolute mess. And you know in case of emergency he'd be that self-involved he'd be flinging himself down the evacuation slide before anyone else.

Yes, my relative had her surgeries in 2010 and 2011 for full hysterectomy and breast removal. She declined a pen construction which would have involved cutting skin from her under arm (lower arm) to construct the pen. The scar would have been enormous and the pen obviously not properly functional. She was put on testosterone thereafter and was on it until this year. This was all done for free on the NHS. The transition was meant to cure her depression and now it is worse than ever. It was a gender clinic in Edinburgh that she was 'assessed' at (not thoroughly) and I think that was free too, although they took on private patients at the time. Now, she is in her 30s and needs estrogen gel and therapy on the NHS. She would love a breast reconstruction and is mourning the fact she can't have her own babies. I know she decided to go down this route but I strongly feel she was manipulated and exploited. She was the victim of CSA, under 25 (brain still forming) and estranged from most of her family. Poor mental health, PTSD, depression and living in poverty, alone. So, very, very vulnerable. The gender clinic did not assess her mental state or ask questions regarding mental health history or abuse. At best they were careless, at worst they deliberately preyed upon her and manipulated her into this. Last year, when she began to confide in me about her doubts as to whether she could continue as a trans man, I began to realise what a cult and conspiracy it is. I feel similar about the cashless society. It's being forced on us. I can't even pay with cash in my local Lidl any more. These companies and the Govt are colluding together to force this on us and the same goes for trans crap. It's blatant propaganda.

I agree. And I think training children is being promoted, or at least not discouraged, precisely because the NHS is on its knees and we are being pushed towards private healthcare insurance, and somebody is set to make billions out of us.

How would she even know? Perhaps she just took a lucky guess when assigning her children's "genders".

I'm sure she thought very carefully about it - she's so kind.

We know she's kind, because the assured us several times that she was a kind person. She likes being kind. That's why she's kind.

It’s a denial of my own inner life and rejection of sexist norms, and to go along with it is humiliating. Just because it is a form of humiliation that women are used to — and have been conditioned to accept in the name of kindness — does not lessen its cruelty.

literally the first random page I opened it on was this, a trans couple. duck knows how many more will be in there. They were probably queuing up to get their fetishes published.

I was so disappointed in that book, and in GA.
I was a huge Scully fan girl back in the day and was looking forward to reading this.
Genuinely the saddest and most wretched thing I've read in ages. Granted these are genuine stories, but where were the empowering stories? Where were the stories from women who were happy?
Nope, just misery. I get that it was an exercise in giving women a voice but there was nothing positive in it. And yes, there a couple of trans 'voices ' in there.
Like I said, disappointing.
