The depressing thing is there are so many good restaurants out there... that make you feel good when you watch reviewers at, thatre interesting, that would actually benefit from some publicity where people would think 'oo that looks good let me go try there!' who tf is watching the fish and chip shops or £1 burgers and thinking 'oo ima get me some of that'. But no, theyre catering slop to the thick because rage bait is the easy option, lazy -.-

His latest video at the steak place was really bad form. It's like he went there to slate it. I can't believe he filmed himself telling the waiter everything that was wrong with the food. I thought it was reprehensible to talk at the end about how they gave him the entire bill free and then ENCOURAGE people to ask for their money back when they are not happy with anything. It just feels like Gary has now opened this place up to a load of chancers.

came here to say the exact thing, what a toss pot. Actively encouraging the kind of bottom feeders in his comments who would do exactly that and try and get a free meal even when theres absolutely nothing wrong with it. Not to mention this is what 5 or 6 videos after he actively spoke out against so called influencers going to places to sh!t on them for likes? Did I not say he did the exact same? Genuinely didnt think he could fall any lower in my expectations till this, what an arsehole

I like Gary. The more cringe and embarrassing stuff he does the better for me. I guess the only thing that’s sort of stupid is how easily pleased he is by a place that makes really basic, reheated, frozen food, if that place is a small independent and run by some sort of salt of the earth chef/owner. But I don’t really watch him for anything other than his partridge like personality.

One thing that elevates him for me is that food influencers are pretty much just in it for a free meal or to get paid to do an undisclosed ad. And at least Gary seems to have some morals around that

ok so in additionto him complaining about the tiktoker doing exactly what he does he's also outright lied 3 mins in, saying how he always asks permission to film, a number of times this has been proven untrue not least at marco pierre whites restaurant where he had the whole debacle with the waiter

The only thing I can think of to do with his Mum, is that he's found forums like this where people have begun to question his back story of being a full time carer and how that squares with the content he's putting out these days. That's hardly abuse though.

I also refused to watch it but just a negative title will give people preconceived ideas and we all know how reluctant people are to change their minds in any way thus even if they dont watch the video hundreds of thousands of people will think negatively of the restaurant by default

Well he did a video where he claimed because of his internet celebrity he'd been 'assaulted' in public on multiple occasions, and in the comments of that video financial donations were flying in because some people just have money to burn and a severe lack of sense. So I don't know what else it would be!

People were donating money because someone called him a wazzock? I wish someone would pay me for being called a wazzock.
