I love reading the observations in this thread, they make me want to watch some of R&L's vlogs. But the videos are so long! I don't think I could bear it. I don't know where to start, I don't have hours on end to spare (nor do I enjoy watching them).

Louis did a series a few years ago which is him and some lads crossing India in tuktuks, that was great.
We are rewatching the series where they go round Europe in a van. But there are hours of it and we like watching them, although we also rip them for blagging/flogging/daftness. It’s not GCSEs, don’t put yourself through it if you don’t like it

I'm so invested in this house build/move because I just don't see it going well. I'm sure life with two kids without their parents around will be hard. And you're right, it's so much driving to get places.

I feel like they've managed parenting so far because their parents are always around. What happens when they kids need to be schooled or see friends and they can't just swan around doing whatever they want? I really hope their are still making videos then so we can see it all

I haven't watched much of the Brighton years, so I'm guessing Raya still hasnt learned to drive? So not only won't she be able to pull her weight in that regard, but she will need Louis to chauffeur her everywhere.
I would find that super risky myself and frustrating. What happens when Louis isn't home and one of the children has an accident? How far away are the nearest neighbors with a car for her to run to?
Being so dependent on your partner and so restricted in your movement without him can make your world really small.

I’m annoyed with them because every single video includes an ad now, and nothing is ever tagged. Giving Louis the benefit of the doubt, he hasn’t realised the rules have changed since he started. But this starts with the sponsor and is completely untagged. Louis, Raya, if you read this, you need to tag sponsored videos with #ad.

So what does everyone think of their plan of building a tree house on their plot of land in Costa Rica?

So we looked into this place before they announced they bought land. There are a ton of building regulations, including one about height. So they won't actually be able to build a proper tree house. I reckon they'll do a stilted house and say 'its what we dreamed of all along'
The plans have to be approved by the village council, not as free and breezy as they're making it out to be!

Yep. Completely ruins the point of the trip IMO. I understand she was missing him but couldn't she wait a few more days? Did she hop on the plane to go home and let Louis drive the rest of the way? Lmao

I know people don't like having great expectations that things might happen quickly, but what if she also had a horrific pregnancy? Some women get it bad. Was she just going to lie down flat in a grotty bus for 9 months? I know they said they're a 'spontaneous couple' but I don't think this should be one of those times

Travel vlogging is their main (only?) source of income. Imagine the stress of not being able to do that, not having a place to live, and dealing with a newborn on top of that. Ooft.

Very true and OK they aren’t the first and won’t be the last to have an imperfectly timed pregnancy, but it always amazes me when people who live their lives online don’t seem to Google some basic What Ifs!

Now Louis is off on a van journey on his own according to the Fun For Louis channel, let’s hope Raya is feeling fine and continues to do so, and/or has good family/friends to stay with. And gets used to being on her own while he gallivants around!

Why are they not at their land in Costa Rica building a house as they planned? Have they abandoned this plan?

They were only ever going to spend part of the year there as they don't like the rainy season. And now, Raya has decided that having a baby will be more comfortable in Brighton, so they are moving there indefinitely.

So Kinging it ended their video saying that they're off to Bali where they're renting a villa for a 12 Youtuber vacation meet-up.
Flying the nest have already arrived and I'm guessing the other Youtubers are Kara and Nate, Eamon and Bec and Raya and Louis. The last time they did this, Raya and Louis more than tripled their views and posted nothing but these narcissistic Q&As for 3 months they got out of it.

I reckon that house is about £2300-2500 per month rent. A period house, 4+ bedrooms, right near the sea in Brighton!!
He’ll never get her to Costa Rica unless he builds the massive house first.

I started watching one of the latest Costa Rica vlogs and it's just random footage, it doesn't even seem edited that much. It's so typical of Raya to go for these "easy" vlog style videos where they just film their mundane activities and ramblings, instead of making themed videos like she did years ago. Especially if it's Louis who edits them late at night. I still can't believe they chose to focus on their least successful channel, but I guess it is growing. It just seems weird because, as has been said here, they are not in the financial position to build a proper house and everything. I used to watch them, I just don't get much out of it anymore.

I haven't watched him in years I really liked him I think the last time I properly watched him was when he used to do cooking videos with his dad in-between his travels I know him an Raya re engaged now I think why I like so many people liked him out of the crop when they was coming though at the time the Zoella, Marcus Butler and alike he always struck me as the less flash an most down to earth if that is because he was that bit older I'm not sure

The fact he hasn't uploaded anything for 8 days and considering the content of the last vlog, leads me to think he gave up on the van and got alternative transport to make it in time for Christmas. Otherwise he's just being crap at his job stringing everyone along half way through January.

I’ve been watching Kristen and Siwa too, they live next door to L&R and have done a few videos recently. They don’t make such a good video but give more away! They also speak Spanish which L&R don’t. They get most of their fruit and veg from the corner shop, Alegria produce isn’t much. Although I suppose they will all get more fruit trees etc over time, on the individual plots. Even as the resident Youtuber Louis will be under pressure to make money, and now he’s not even the only one.The Alegria moneybags won’t want to be filmed all the time, and also it could be a security risk.

They are aping Kristen and Siwa with the bus in the house, but K&S have a custom built airstream, not a manky old bus! L&R seem to be doing their plans on a shoestring. Let’s hope the vegan lobby keep paying for Raya’s “cookery” which is mostly greige Slop with boiled broccoli.

The jacksgap video about what happened to him and his brother reminded me of 'FunForLouis' - I honestly always thought he would continue to do projects like his street bus where he invited local teenagers in etc.

Wow I haven’t thought about these two for a long time. Didn’t even know Raya is pregnant.
I’m shocked that Louis is moving to Brighton? Would have never guessed that. Always thought he seemed like the type that would be staying in their Costa rica land and building a house out there.
