I honestly don't know what to think about the engine situation. There were several stories about Williams moving back to Renault, but I think that has stopped with the technical deal Williams have struck with Mercedes.
I wonder if rumours about Newey leaving are dependent on the engine situation. Horner promotes the fact Newey is there in 2021, but goes quiet about the future.....
Williams will definitely stay with Mercedes engines now with the enhanced technical deal announced. Perfectly sensible idea of you ask me.
I wouldn't be surprised if Newey opted to move on from F1 in the nearish future. He might design a 2022 car and see how that goes before deciding whether to pursue other avenues. And he has been at Red Bull a long time, and he has achieved everything, the most successful F1 designer ever.
Honestly, I'm surprised Liberty have kept going to Sao Paolo because of the horror stories of a team being held up at gun point more years than not. Terrible PR for F1.
I suppose that explains why they were exploring a race at Rio, but fans love it as it is a track that produces great races.

And we are all STILL waiting on Hamilton to sign a contract with Mercedes. I've read an article saying he wants a $50m per year, 4 year deal. Mercedes only offering two years. Obviously don't know whether the article has any truth in it.

Still no agreement. After what he said at the start of the pandemic about not wanting to negotiate because people were losing their jobs it's seems a bit hypocritical now that he's demanding mega money. I hope he retires.
If I had a pound for every non-F1 that asks me why Brands Hatch isn't on the calendar I could retire!!! People seem genuinely surprised when I tell them Brands hasn't had a F1 race since the mid-80's.
Hamilton demanding Mercedes prize money as well is a bit much. Wanting a Mercedes AMG One is fair enough I'd say, plenty of manufacturer teams provide "company cars" to their drivers.
Problem for Hamilton comes in the form of younger, cheaper, more likeable George Russell being a ready made replacement. Mercedes could afford to buy out the last year of his contract with Williams, pay him a wage, and still have £30m+ at least to play with.

I’m not massively sold on the alpine winter livery. Wonder what the season one will be.
Hope Charles uses this time to do some self reflection. He hasn’t worn a mask several times and travelled from Monaco to various parts of France before going to Dubai. Obviously in Dubai he’s been to that dreadful Fame Park where he played tug of war with a Liger. The fact is we are in a Pandemic and just because he is able to jet around doesn’t mean he has to.

Seriously though, why do you possibly need/want 50million a year. What is it being spent on.
There are some people who always say the Hamilton hate/dislike is race related. And I accept there are some racist bleeps that don't like him because he is black.
But Christ he comes across so poorly at times, so fake and on the radio post-race. He doesn't come across as particularly likeable. He elevates himself above everyone else, distances from everyone and you don't see a person, but see a hyper manufactured image he curates. It's just actually so easy to dislike him. And the lack of appreciation for George's effort is either absolute height of rudeness, or fear for his own position and his fragile ego.
