Not always a great race anyway. Current gen cars don't race well at Albert Park.

But just feels like it's going to be another tough season with a calendar that will be ever changing. Hopefully the season won't be delayed by months this year though.

Lando Norris has tested positive for Covid.
He was on holiday in Dubai (like a lot of people- but it's prior to a training thingy) and lost his sense of taste.
Charles Leclerc also in the area with his missus, unsure if he's doing the same training or it's just that Dubai is THE place to be since everyone is there at the moment!

Charles Leclerc has become such an arrogant little so and so. He enjoyed the hospitality of Saif Belhasa who is an entrepreneur in Dubai and owns a zoo not open to the public. There are videos of both he and Charlotte playing tug of war with a liger using rope. Then after a backlash, he requested all videos to be deleted. He has repeated travelled when Monaco had restrictions, not worn face masks.

Do you mean this one? I do not agree with animals being used as entertainment. Do not get me started on the whole big cats/great apes/monkeys for pets thing ☹

I've never been a huge fan of Charles.

Although it's not just him, there's lots of photos and footage of a lot of drivers mixing socially with no masks. Max and Daniel are both guilty.

Maybe naive but I’ve been quite disappointed by the behaviour of (some of) the drivers since the races ended. When Melbourne was postponed I was impressed with what they were doing and seemed to be setting a good example. Now they seem to have gone the way of every other celeb by fleeing to the sun. I mean, I’m as sick of the restrictions as everyone else but them taking advantage of the ‘elite sports’ travel loophole is a shame to see. Rant over.

Yes! That’s the one. Charles later sent DMs to several accounts asking them to delete the video. The poor liger!

@Saddlesoap I agree with you regarding the mask wearing.

Cyril Abiteboul is leaving Renault. Wonder if he still got/is going to get the tattoo for Ricciardo's podium.

I know Renault have rebranded to Alpine so wonder if that has something to do with it? I hope Cyril has got the tattoo - a bet is a bet.

Christian Horner, Helmut Marko and Red Bull/Alpha Tauri might be able to crawling back begging for Renault engines if they have to now Cyril is out of the picture. I think the very poor relationship between him and Christian was a key part of the Renault/Red Bull breakdown. And Renault would be mad to turn down two teams paying for engines now they have no customers, it would help the finances.

Obviously this is all dependent on Red Bull not being able to carry on with the Honda engine independently.

Yes, you are absolutely right. Regarding Cyril and Christian Horner - that episode of Drive to Survive was interesting wasn’t it?!

A former MotoGP team boss is lined up to be part of Alpine this year. As a MotoGP fan I've followed this guy for decades and he's top. He'll do well if the rumours are true.

I somewhat take DTS with a pinch of salt as they overdo the drama (see Danny Ric/Max), but there is no love lost between those two!
