Omg Max!
Definitely seemed strange!Anyone think there was more to Alex being retired early than engine problems?
Nothing wrong with a wacky race my avatar has been in a fair fewWell this is going to be less of an F1 race and more a Wacky Race.
I fully expect this race to start under safety car, I just wish it wasn't going to because I want to see this lot close together in to turn one.
What did his girlfriend do?I mean what else should they have done? No matter what he would have never finished higher than 3rd after he screwed up the start and got gapped after the first stint, so might as well try to win the race with his help.
If Bottas would be quick enough none of this would happen. And if he tries to play mind games as some suggest he will also not succeed. Hamilton isnt taking him serious as a competitor, Max is his rival. And if Bottas is trying to rock the boat I'm sure Toto wouldnt think twice to get somebody else (Hulkenberg?) into the car, since this year they can't afford a intra-team rivalry when they dont have the quickest car anymore.
Having said that, I doubt that anything is going on. Bottas has tried for a while to get away from his "lap dog" image with beard look, profanity radio messages, often blaming other factors on bad results (which he never did before 2019) or having the girlfriend complain about the set up to the press and throwing digs on Social Media on his team mate. Simply not enough.
As a non brit I do not feel it as showing respect! We don't do that! I understand F1 is based in the UK, but it is international sport. They should do something more international if they really want to do something. Was thinking that but too scared to say it! I think people read into it too much... imo because you do not kneel doesn’t imply you’re a racist![]()
Yes, quite right. Benetton lost the WCC when Schumacher won the DWC. They changed that and got Johnny Herbert in and won it the next year.Lets not forget that the 2nd red bull car has only scored one podium in the last 2 seasons!
Red Bull are really screwing themselves over by building the car for Max, yes he’s done great, but you can’t win the WCC with one car, you would struggle to win the WDC with Max too if he hasn’t got a decent teammate to back him up.
As you said, Danny Ric got out quick, and both Alex and Pierre looked poor in the RB, but look what he’s done in the Alpha!
Let’s be honest Max (and clan) arent the most welcoming of teammates and no doubt is enjoying the other garage is making him look like a God.
No surprise the two decent teammates he’s had (Danny and Carlos) both walked away before they got sucked in and made to look shit!
he’s doing a super job!anyone watching FP1??? super happy for george to get that fastest time!!
He was on holiday in Dubai (like a lot of people- but it's prior to a training thingy) and lost his sense of taste.Lando Norris has tested positive for Covid.
If Perez can get the sponsorship, I would guess he would be in. Also, if Haas wants cheaper engines, he might ask for Mick Schumacher......What did Max say?
Now that Grosjean and K Mag are out, who do you think will drive for Haas next year?
I understand Russell is being kept in reserve for when Hamilton retires.....Max calling Stroll a Mongol was too far. In the heat of moment a bit of effing and jeffing, fair enough. But he has gone too far with his comments. And has been totally unrepentant in the aftermath.
I have a lot of respect for him in terms of his driving ability, but he does come across as a total twat with his attitude at times. Totally not on.
All while ignoring that it wasn't Stroll's fault, stewards were right to not punish either for the crash, but personally I'd blame Verstappen that little bit more, Stroll was still at racing speed, Max was assuming he was going to back off. He didn't, and crashes.
Well, given that rumour is saying that Alfa Romeo will be keeping their lineup of Raikkonen and Giovinazzi, that means that Schumacher/Ilott only has a Haas seat to go to if they are promoted to F1. The other one would be a loss to F1 if they leave the F1 ladder.
Mazepin is being considered for his budget he will add to Haas' finances. Surely that would also open up Perez as an option for his sponsorship, though Williams is now sounding like his destination.
So I think Haas will probably be Schumacher and Mazepin.
If Williams sign Perez I'd totally understand, but it will be a disaster for Russell, losing his seat for a year. Personally he should've been replacing Bottas at Mercedes next year. Mercedes/Wolff have shown endless incompetence at managing their young drivers. Wehrlein, Ocon and potentially Russell all being managed badly by Mercedes.
Yes I played F1 fantasy and got a medal for a decent finishDecent race, amazing there wasn't a full SC.
As a side note, does anyone play Fantasy F1, we could have a Tattle league next year!
I cried a little watching Seb speaking to Lewis before he got out of the car.
yes!!! that bit got me tooDecent race, amazing there wasn't a full SC.

Which one?Yes and yes but he also seems like a genuinely nice guy. I mean, I’m only going off social media, etc but I’ll take it!
alright step dad or whatever you want to call itHe isn't.
totally, i read somewhere that someone said it was due to the. fact he was a risk to other drivers but i’m not sure how true that isAnyone think there was more to Alex being retired early than engine problems?
he has shares in them so it’s not totally wild! After seeing Checo win yesterday, and a long-time (circa 2007) fan of Seb’s through thick and thin, I am VERY much looking forward to next season
He’s isn’t gonna win the championship or anything, but he should be up there getting good results and podiums.
And who knows in 2022, rumours of Toto going to Aston, could be a Merc 2.0![]()
