Interestingly the FIA published an updated entry list for next year, Hamilton is listed as confirmed for Mercedes even though as far as we know no contract has yet been signed. Just leaving the Red Bull and Alpha Tauri second seats up for grabs.

Hamilton definitely running scared from Russell I think. Toto is running scared from making the mistake of resigning Bottas by encouraging him in qualifying etc. Bottas is aware he is now officially on borrowed time if Hamilton is staying longer term.

The excuse Mercedes came out with for the pit stop shambles last week seems like shite. During a radio communication from the pitwall to pit crews Russell tried to radio in and it got interrupted and ended up messing up the message to the pit crew for which tyres first. Seems dodgy to me.

F1 journalist Joe Sward has said not to put too much against the fact the drivers are on next years entry list. They don't have to be officially confirmed before the thursday of the first race.

I went to the Belgian Grand Prix last year, and somehow my nephew got us sitting in the middle of a sea of Max fans. He crashed on the first lap, and they all got up and walked out. He could see people leaving, and I thought the pressure on him must be immense.....

yes that’s true, he has so many die hard fans. as someone who has been an athlete at a relatively high level (nowhere near these guys) and someone who studies sports psychology, he must be losing his mind with the amount of pressure

I love me some Daddy Ricciardo. He's so hot but in a totally different way to George.

Daniel and Lando are gonna be bants as teammates, but I'm gonna miss Carlos and Lando together so much. I didn't really know what to think of Carlos before he joined McLaren, but seeing his personality and silliness, and his friendship grow with Lando these last two years, it breaks my heart a bit Carlos is breaking up with Lando.

Even Lewis Hamilton is pretty hot as long as he doesn't start talking - he has the David Beckham problem of being really attractive but has a silly squeaky voice that doesn't appeal.

Totally agree about Carlos. Don't really recall him before joining Mclaren....of course he's hot too.

Yes definitely. Engine problem came from nowhere, I think it was just an excuse. Albon just driving pretty poorly, so clumsy with the Alpha Tauri. And repeated flatspots. A very bad day for him.

Supposedly Daniel Ricciardo is with Heidi Berger, Gerhard Berger’s daughter. The F1 community is certainly a small one!

I suppose they do spend half the year all in the F1 paddock together. And retired drivers always come back as pundits or whatever for telly. So I suppose when you only spend time in the F1 bubble (not the covid F1 bubble) I suppose it's inevitable.

And F1 is very full on busy for a relationship to survive. So having someone who knows what it's like to be a very busy F1 driver away half the year probably helps a relationship go more smoothly.

Max calling Stroll a Mongol was too far. In the heat of moment a bit of effing and jeffing, fair enough. But he has gone too far with his comments. And has been totally unrepentant in the aftermath.

I have a lot of respect for him in terms of his driving ability, but he does come across as a total twat with his attitude at times. Totally not on.

All while ignoring that it wasn't Stroll's fault, stewards were right to not punish either for the crash, but personally I'd blame Verstappen that little bit more, Stroll was still at racing speed, Max was assuming he was going to back off. He didn't, and crashes.

Now that Grosjean and K Mag are out, who do you think will drive for Haas next year?

Well, given that rumour is saying that Alfa Romeo will be keeping their lineup of Raikkonen and Giovinazzi, that means that Schumacher/Ilott only has a Haas seat to go to if they are promoted to F1. The other one would be a loss to F1 if they leave the F1 ladder.

Mazepin is being considered for his budget he will add to Haas' finances. Surely that would also open up Perez as an option for his sponsorship, though Williams is now sounding like his destination.

So I think Haas will probably be Schumacher and Mazepin.

If Williams sign Perez I'd totally understand, but it will be a disaster for Russell, losing his seat for a year. Personally he should've been replacing Bottas at Mercedes next year. Mercedes/Wolff have shown endless incompetence at managing their young drivers. Wehrlein, Ocon and potentially Russell all being managed badly by Mercedes.

I like Monaco if it rains, because it guarantees someone would bin it at least. But yeah, it's boring normally. These latest cars make it more so, because they are so big, long and wide it's even more impossible to get past anyone.

I've never been a huge fan of Charles.

Although it's not just him, there's lots of photos and footage of a lot of drivers mixing socially with no masks. Max and Daniel are both guilty.
