The replays are even worse. How destroyed the car was. God! Just thank god for how far safety has come in Formula 1 that he could jump out and get away from that fire!

it's absolutely disgusting the way Mercedes treat Bottas. The race he won where Hamilton got a penalty for the practice start on the wrong part of the track was appalling. Toto stomped off in a huff and when Valterri went back to celebrate with the team after the podium everyone had gone! WTF. Let's face it, we've all known they see him as driver number 2 but this episode proves it. I hope he kicks Lewis arse this season.
Everyone knew that Hamilton's practice start was against the rules. It was absurd that a team like Mercedes even let Hamilton try that start at all.

Bottas is the no. 2. Plain and simple. Toto got proper aggy with the "fuck you" comments early on.

Mercedes might claim to have equal drivers, but we all know that's bollocks. Lead driver in the championship becomes de facto no.1 driver, and when you've got a driver as consistent as Hamilton in the team. It's basically guaranteed to always be him.

Bottas is a good driver, but not a great. He will never be able to match/beat Hamilton consistently, whether that's based just on ability or team politics inherently favouring Lewis I can't say, probably a mix of both.

Though I'm sick.of his pissy, moody, spit his dummy out weekends he often has. He comes across as petulant. I really wouldn't have minded him retiring after 2020. Here's hoping after 2021 and George finally gets his chance.

i genuinely don’t think lewis is actually ill lol
i think they’re just putting bottas under pressure and seeing how george performs
Hamilton is the one who is out of contract though. I would die laughing if Mercedes decided to sign Russell instead of paying £40m a year for Hamilton. I know it won't happen, but it would be funny.

Bottas definitely needs to show something special next season because him and Russell will both be out of contract, so Russell will be banging on Toto's door saying give me a seat. So Bottas could be Perezed unless Hamilton decides to retire after next year.

Just been catching up with the Mazepin stuff. Surely Haas can't justify keeping him. Makes me feel sick thinking about him being on the grid with Lewis.
Be interesting if he is on the grid next year in an end racism t shirt with the "we race as one" logos 🤔

There are some people who always say the Hamilton hate/dislike is race related. And I accept there are some racist cunts that don't like him because he is black.

But Christ he comes across so poorly at times, so fake and on the radio post-race. He doesn't come across as particularly likeable. He elevates himself above everyone else, distances from everyone and you don't see a person, but see a hyper manufactured image he curates. It's just actually so easy to dislike him. And the lack of appreciation for George's effort is either absolute height of rudeness, or fear for his own position and his fragile ego.
100%

He exudes arrogance

So Honda have announced they are quitting after 2021. Red Bull and Alpha Tauri are engineless with Renault the likely only engine manufacturer able to supply them. Merc and Ferrari will obviously refuse, Renault will be obliged to supply under the regulations. Bit awkward after the far from civil divorce last time around.

Poor Carlos, those medium tyres are well dead. Was at one point behind Lando, now 11th. Lando done a damn good job nursing his medium tyres though, only pitted a lap after Sainz. Clean air probably helped him.

Couple of points for Danny Ric, good effort from him.

Helmet Marko making a tit of himself again.

Yuki Tsunoda's second race, of course he is going to make mistakes. It's no wonder they keep ruining their young drivers. Hype them up until they make one mistake, then it's endless kicking them down.

Haas' big problem is whether they can afford to sack Mazepin. They nearly went out of business in the lockdown, they need the money. Just a shame it's coming from a cunt and his daddy.
Wow, just wow! He does not deserve a seat in the most prestigious of motor racing formula's

Money doesn't buy you class 🤑

So what do we think of the Haas statement?

And if he is trying to blackmail Russell as potentially being in the closet he can go fuck himself even more. What a massive cunt.

If it happens that Russell is gay then he should he left to come out in his own time, when he is ready, if he wants to come out. It's really none of our business.

Williams will definitely stay with Mercedes engines now with the enhanced technical deal announced. Perfectly sensible idea of you ask me.

I wouldn't be surprised if Newey opted to move on from F1 in the nearish future. He might design a 2022 car and see how that goes before deciding whether to pursue other avenues. And he has been at Red Bull a long time, and he has achieved everything, the most successful F1 designer ever.

Honestly, I'm surprised Liberty have kept going to Sao Paolo because of the horror stories of a team being held up at gun point more years than not. Terrible PR for F1.

I suppose that explains why they were exploring a race at Rio, but fans love it as it is a track that produces great races.
There were issues with deforestation too.
Delighted to see Imola back 🥰

Great race. Lewis is incredible - slower car today, much older tyres, and he managed to fight off Verstappen. He had no right to win but he did.

He just gets everything out of the car, every sector in every lap, every race. As a pure racer he's unmatched I think.

That said, I still think Red Bull are going to win several races this season - much more than previously. It was an amazing performance to get the win today, but it has rather papered over the cracks. The reality is Mercedes are struggling for downforce and many circuits are flatout not going to suit them at all this season.

I see Lewis has been saying today that he has started training and working hard to get in the car this weekend.

That’s all well and good, but if you can’t show a negative test in time, it’s a bit redundant 🤷‍♀️ - IDK it all sounded a little weird, like he thinks he can sweat the virus out or something!

He has been symptomatic, so I think it’s a close call for the weekend
