Continues to be this far behind? It's the third race. And this is the first qualifying Lando has beaten him in. Yes a shocking result, but not 'usual'.

(Am very protective of Daniel and want to see him do well, but this comment makes little sense to me)

That’s incredible you have done Silverstone 4 times and with kids! Agree about Monaco - I would just like to experience it but as a circuit it’s not one to repeat each year. I also cannot believe that Monaco is the only circuit that doesn’t pay to stage races! Bernie eh?!
So have you met any of the drivers?

I haven't properly met any of the drivers, closest we got was our first year, we were given pit walk passes for the Thursday. Turns out we were really lucky to get them, some people have been going for years and have never got them, it's a random ballot thing that they do for weekend ticket holders.
The pit walk was amazing though and practice pitstops are cool to watch but soooo loud! Couple pics attached.

Great drive by Lando Norris today. Got ahead of Daniel Ricciardo for the priority pit stop, and absolutely solid. That McLaren looks solid, the Ferrari looks good (who knew I would be wanting a Ferrari to do well, just love Sainz now).

Max and Lewis are going to be spicy all season. Bottas just can't get anywhere near them. No. 2 driver. Should've replaced him with Russell.

I think we are going to get a great season.

God how amazing would be Russel at Mercedes. Toto is an idiot.

All that is reported is that the engineers arent very happy with him, the bit about possibly replacing him before the season end seems just to be stuff McEvoy from the Daily Mail added (probably wishful thinking).

Mercedes struggles with rear instability this year, the car is way more harder to drive than in the past years: I really doubt that any driver that could realitically replace him would do better when joining mid-season. Not to forget that any change unsettles the situation always.

I dont get why there would be even need to: Imola aside he did exactly what a #2 is supposed to do? Wouldnt surprise me if George's PR team spread this rumour to make him look better after his brainfart recently.

The only way I can see it happening is if Bottas out of frustration plays dirty or if his form drastically drops.

Well, he might've been out qualified by his teammate for the first time in his F1 career, but that was a bloody impressive effort by Mr Saturday George Russell. To do that in his first qualifying in that car - more than took the battle to Bottas.

Shows just how good Russell is and is going to be. He is definitely next in to a Mercedes seat, whenever either Hamilton retires or Bottas is replaced.

Had a bit of a mistake on his last lap, but he was still a few tenths behind Lando. We all knew Daniel was going to need time to settle at McLaren, but today is a surprise.

That McLaren has grown in to the weekend, started fairly worryingly on Friday, but Lando on another flyer so far. Just needs to not get caught out by track limits this weekend, and there could be a sensational qualifying position on the cards.

It's due to the quarentine rules I read. I can't see Australia going ahead for the same reason but I guess things could change by then as it's not until November.

Just need a problem for a Red Bull or Leclerc now and there is a podium for Lando. Because I think on pure pace Perez's Red Bull is faster than the McLaren.

Definitely think that Hamilton has come back too quickly, everyone at Merc seemed to be resigned to the fact that Lewis wouldn’t be back this season as he was symptomatic,

So something is definitely going on behind the scenes, whether that’s Lewis that forced himself back, or Merc that didn’t want another race with George - he did show up Bottas last week!

I will never believe that a team will ever jeopardise their drivers, but let’s just say, I think Toto was relieved when George got his puncture - those are some difficult questions to answer if the driver you looked over for next season wins first time in the car!

Saying all that - prepared to go and see Lewis win today. Being ‘under the weather’ and ‘still not 100%’ and going on to win, is just the self-hype that Lewis likes to do! - watch the fan boys fawn over him for it!

FINALLY !! Absolutely sick of horrible bastards on Twitter saying he’s not as good as he was/career is over/lando is a better driver

Think people forget we as humans can have off days- and the fact it’s the 3rd race, people are so fickle
