I can’t believe you don’t know this but Lewis’s team can only ever be about him and him winning! When he does it’s all because he’s an amazing driver, when he doesn’t it because everyone is against him, including his own team, the FIA, team mate etc.
His woe is me act every time is really tiresome for his age and that fact that he’s the most successful driver ever.
I wish Bottas had been able to give him a fight more often.

Bottas won't have been allowed to fight him. He'll have had playing second fiddle in his contract.

Hamilton's a whingeing git and I'll be glad when he retires.

I know Lando is popular but if this plays out that Oscar is his teammate next year I want him to be beaten by his rookie teammate so bad.

i go back and forth on lando! i think he’s incredibly talented but his snark sometimes bugs me (he’s very much a gen z internet kid) - he’s lucked out so far with two older teammates, one who treated him like a little brother and was a bit indulgent of him, and one who wasn’t a performance threat. having a driver around his age, who is eager to do well and will push him, is going to be a very interesting experience for him.

i just did! he’s had a really hard time of it, bless him i actually hope he isn’t in the car for singapore now, he needs time to fully recover - surgery is hard enough with being on a ventilator! hope he’s doing okay.

Yep take some time to recover and recover properly not just so you can get back in a F1 car. Your health should mean more

Yeah I feel like the announcements have to come soon. I think they’ll announce Yuki at Japan but I’m getting the feeling more and more that Daniel won’t be on the grid next year

Maybe one of the things he is doing in his lair is writing a tell all book- how I defeated Lewis Hamilton in equal machinery by Nico Britney Spears Rosberg .

Nico was my F1 teenage crush but the whole saga between the two of them just put me off him and turned me into even more of a Hamilton fan. He’s still so salty and bitchy in what he says there is just no way he has let it die at all yet whereas I think Lewis DGAF

he was SO PRETTY back in the day so i completely understand it, all that spite and salt (and botox) has just soured his looks while lewis is out here getting cuter. like you say, i think lewis is completely over it whereas it’s the centre point of nico’s existence still. move on man! i wonder if they do feel a degree of sadness over the genuine friendship they obviously had at one point though.

It is INSANE how mentally strong they have to be. That’s what makes me so interested in F1 - it’s not just about the cars but the psychology behind the drivers. I find it so interesting, could talk about this all day! I don’t think there are any other sports that put their athletes in this kind of set up - the whole dynamic between team mates fascinates me. How they have to get on well but also want to end each other’s careers, then you add into the mix that most of them have been friends off-grid for years.

It's taken me til today to be able to come and post about Daniel. I'm gutted, he sounded so sad in his post. I think we all knew it was coming, but still gutted.

No Seb in 2023 and now it looks like no Danny.

It’s been a very sad year for older F1 fans. While I like some of the young guns like the Ferrari boys I just don’t see the legends there. There won’t be another Seb ( or Lewis when he leaves) for a long time. There also aren’t many characters like DR left.

i hate how polite and camera aware they are in there now! give me this or another “multi 21 seb” (shoutout to @Multi-21 ) moment. or when seb and kyvat had that spat.

oh and max getting removed from the room for a penalty and kimi walking in to take his place like he was in wwe or something.

Maybe wrong to think this but what if the alleged Alpine move does not work for Pierre. Where next? Maybe after 1 season Aston Martin, that depends on grandad Alsono. Ferrari? Nope. Mercedes? Maybe but that more than likely depends on Sir Lewis retiring.

i’ve honestly always been hopeful of that mercedes seat for him, i know it all depends on lewis and how long lewis is planning on staying, but it’s the only “high level” seat that may become free. if nyck does go to AT like the rumours are saying then i wonder what merc’s long term plan is.

i need some kind of “below deck” style reality show about these drivers because i can’t cope

i love the idea of lance being the go-between though. like “c’mon pierre, you were friends with him before!”

(also, i’m probably very behind on this but my fellow iphone users, would strongly recommend downloading the “box box” app. you can set widgets for the next grand prix and your favourite drivers on your home and lock screen! mine is all charles obvs)
