Maybe wrong to think this but what if the alleged Alpine move does not work for Pierre. Where next? Maybe after 1 season Aston Martin, that depends on grandad Alsono. Ferrari? Nope. Mercedes? Maybe but that more than likely depends on Sir Lewis retiring.I feel like it’s going to be survival of the fittest if this Alpine move happens and only one of them will be France’s golden child!Really hope we hear some news soon. The suspense is killing me! Says a lot about the track action this year that silly season is the most entertaining part.
i’ve honestly always been hopeful of that mercedes seat for him, i know it all depends on lewis and how long lewis is planning on staying, but it’s the only “high level” seat that may become free. if nyck does go to AT like the rumours are saying then i wonder what merc’s long term plan is.Maybe wrong to think this but what if the alleged Alpine move does not work for Pierre. Oooh there is a thought. Pierre and George in the same team![]()
My fear is that he will become one of the drivers who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I suppose a lot of it depends on how well he does at Alpine (if he does go!) and whether he can become a potential asset to the other teams in the future.Maybe wrong to think this but what if the alleged Alpine move does not work for Pierre. i worry that he’s eventually just going to get spaced out tooMy fear is that he will become one of the drivers who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. It’s a strange one now there are so many young drivers on the grid, it’s going to create an interesting precedent going forward because it’s opened the door to way more competition.
Lewis is staying forever! Sir Lewis' number 1 fan says so!Lewis is staying forever! Hope that answer the rumours?
honestly, i trust you and i hope he doesLewis is staying forever! Hope that answer the rumours?
Alonso is a lifer. He's never retiring. The only way an AM seat is becoming available is if he falls out with Lawrence Stroll.Maybe wrong to think this but what if the alleged Alpine move does not work for Pierre. Where next? alonso will have to be dragged out of f1 against his willAlonso is a lifer. He's never retiring. The only way an AM seat is becoming available is if he falls out with Lawrence Stroll.
I hope that the Alpine deal goes through for Pierre. It seems like the perfect opportunity for him. Staying with AT, there's always the threat of being dropped for a newer talent. Without even factoring in teammate drama, Alpine could go terribly wrong - messy management, car struggles etc, but I guess that's always the stress in F1.
Would Esteban, with his Toto connections, be a realistic candidate for the Mercedes seat when Lewis retires?
sameAlonso's move to AM made no sense to me when he announced it. The ensuing Alpine chaos though makes me understand it more.![]()
D Rick has been completely shafted by McLaren (there’s a joke there somewhere ha). He’s another refugee of the redbull curse like Albon and Gasly. Hell, maybe a Williams seat would be good for him to get his confidence back.samei think everyone was like
when it came out because, why?! but if it was that alpine wanted him to be something of a seat warmer for oscar, or to do a one-year rolling contract like they implied, then they just have known that someone like fernando would never go for that. god bless him for the content it created though!
what are your thoughts on danny ricc? i’m inclined to think he’s running out of time and there’s no seats left![]()

It seems like he's running out of options to me too. In my (uneducatedwhat are your thoughts on danny ricc? i’m inclined to think he’s running out of time and there’s no seats left![]()
Hi! I am afraid about that too, that if he leaves there will be no comeback. I don't feel like recent comebacks are a good example that could make him believe comeback is easy. I might be absolutely wrong, but I think teams might not fully believe in his ability to quickly adapt to different cars at this point, no matter what we think about McLaren using or not using his potential. Fernando's comeback is a whole another story. Esteban,Alex or KMags comebacks are also rather different to DR's situation because the first two were much younger and KMag, well we know what happened. It seems like he's running out of options to me too. In my (uneducated) opinion, taking a year out seems like the end of his F1 career to me. I would love to see him on the grid next year. At first, it seemed like he was open to a less competitive seat, but I saw something that said he was open to a 'project' team now. Didn't verify anything in that article though.
i completely agreeThat Mercedes’ second seat is such a mystery to me, I think toto wants a perez/bottas driver to fill that seat when Lewis goes, he definitely doesn’t want a Lewis-nico situation again and I think George-Lewis works because George knows he’ll be the lead in a few years. Pierre and Esteban would both want to challenge I think, and este hasn’t been the friendliest with other teammates. That said Toto seems loyal to him so maybethough Pierre would be more deserving in that seat imho. But maybe este more suited as he’s ~consistent~ and could possibly be put in his box a little, idk
daniel makes me sadI so want him to get that alpine seat but I don’t see it happening, I think haas would be great with the marketability/American love but I think this year will be bye-bye. I’m gutted
All this being said, in a Reddit thread they’re currently discussing Lando to Mercedes’ in the distant future, I could see that too but think he’d be better suited for red bull in terms of ~vibes~. That’s getting into complete hypotheticals thoughi completely agreei also fully agree that esteban would probably be the easier choice - he has a link with toto and is seen as more consistent and an “easier” driver than pierre (all mentally beaten from red bull) would be. they ultimately will be looking for another bottas for george but they’re never gonna find one!
fully agree on danieli just hope we see him around in another capacity.
I never understood that move. I was upset he was kept instead of Hulkenberghe should never have left renault/alpine tbhi saw a lot of people say then that he would never suit mclaren and i think that’s sadly been proven.
